The Company is not aware of any information concerning it that has not been announced and which, if known, could be an explanation for recent trading in the securities of the Company. 2. Not applicable. 3. As has been disclosed to the market on a regular basis, Red Emperor is earning a 20% interest in two highly prospective oil & gas blocks in Puntland, Somalia. The first exploration well to be drilled as part of a two well program is due to spud shortly. This landmark well will be the first to be drilled in Puntland in over 20 years and is targeting an enormous potential oil in place of close to 1 billion barrels. While drilling has not yet commenced, it is drawing very close and a comprehensive update will be released upon spudding. 4. The Company confirms that it is in compliance with the ASX Listing Rules. This is a quote taken from a UK chat board: ""I have it on very good authority that the planned spud of the first Puntland drill was New Years Eve; there was a slight delay with one of the shipments, but by only a few days. Therefore the drill is expected to spud on or before the 6th of January!"" I wonder how close to the mark this might be?

The countdown has began. 90% of preparations have been completed. http://www.thepressreleasewire.com/client/africa_oil/release.jsp?year=2011&actionFor=1533644&releaseSeq=1 "◦In Puntland, Horn Petroleum Corp. ("Horn") is currently in final preparations to commence a two well drilling campaign in the Dharoor Valley Block, with the first well (Shabeel-1) planned to spud in December of 2011. Drilling locations have been selected over two robust prospects targeting gross best estimated prospective resources of over 300 million barrels each, based on internal estimates. A contract has been awarded to Sakson Drilling and Oil Services who will provide a 1500 horse-power, top drive equipped rig. All drilling related third party service contracts have been executed. The Company has completed sourcing drilling related materials and the majority of materials are on site or on route to the drilling site. Site preparation including the drill site, air strip and ingress route construction have been completed. Water wells are currently being drilled to provide source water for drilling operations."

OK parliament is the wrong word, but they do have a cabinet and House of Reps that pass laws/make decisions. Does anyone know how often they meet?
-
Can anyone tell me when Parliament sits. Does it meet on a scheduled/reguar basis? When is the next meeting likely to meet?

Sharjah: Puntland leader meets Range Africa Oil: PICS
kajdes replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
where is this up to now? -
"However, much needs to be done to help Puntland reach its full potential. There is a very high unemployment rate, recurrent droughts and overall infrastructural under-development. But there are plenty of investment opportunities in Puntland, including developing the livestock and fisheries sectors, light industries and exploitation of natural resources ." Lots of talk, but seriously PSAs are already in place for the development of the Puntland's oil potential. Where is the public endorsement from Farole to kick this into gear? I'm sure plenty of employment would be generated during a drilling program and following based on sucessful results.

The President is certainly getting around. -
Interesting development. Where does this leave activities in Puntland I wonder? Nothing wrong with a company expanding their activities but the question has to be asked why this company that has off loaded other investment activities in the past to concentrate purely on its Puntland program now decides to involve itself in other investments?

the question is what were the usual supects talking about?
