Its not only Nike or Coke. Whether you guys believe it or not but when I was in Pakistan I was shocked to find out that brand names such as Diesel, Guess, Mecca, Gap, Calvin Klein, Armani, Versace etc.. majority of the big names had companies that would produce quality clothes for them in a much much cheaper rate. Let me give u an example. A Diesel jeans would cost u in US about $70-$120, depending on the style, while it is produced in Pakistan for $7. Now u tell me, if that isn't exploitation? Animal Farm.. I read about her and her book although I haven't read the book itself, yet there are many factors which I am really against when it comes to globilization. To me its just a diplomatic way of letting the rich get richer and the poor poorer. Many of the industrialized countries abuse the poor underdeveloped communities thru their intergrated system of job creation. As for the Logo part, well, its us actually who are letting the corporations make millions because we have been brain washed with the concept of brandnames and how it supposedly alliviates the status of a person. Even our Diracs have logos whether u believe it or not. Kanebo Dj, Japan, SA, Bin Tamam, Swiss..u name it... and this has been in existence since the beginning of time. To answer your question: All I can do to stop this nonesense to raise people's interest in pleasing Allah and not worldly things. When I can get the same quality or even better for 1/10th of the deal, and can donate the rest of the money to help the poor and the needy in my country or within my extended family, why give it to gaal who already has deep pockets?

Nur: Jazaka Allah qeyr for awakening us from time to time. I used to really help the poor back in Pakistan coz there are plenty to help out in the street but ever since I got to UAE, I don't do that anymore coz the city I live in, u will rarely find anyone in need of help. But I do help them when they need translaters or someone to take them to hospitals and stuff..So in a way I render my help where its due. As for the Raxim, I really don't keep in touch dat much and they skip my mind, but when there is some problem, I do help out. May Allah help us. The reason my mom n dad do that...so Somehow the need for us to do is not there... or atleast that is how I feel.

And now when the civil war tore the country apart, they felt its time they took their sovereignty back and be independent so as to free themselves from the oppression and abuse endured. That is all. Is it only me or do people actually loose their swimming skills at night? Seriously folks.. I can't swim in the ocean at nite... scarred of all the tiny winy marine animals which I can't seem to see. Call it phobia but walahi u will never see me in the waters at nite. Probably dat is why I never tried cruise ships... Blue: Its magnificent sight indeeds, especially when the sun is about setting and u see the twilight creeping in. The blue, violet reddish hrorizon meets the sable dark blue of the night and u have a beautiful sight nothing can compete with. I have been walking along the beach lines almost all the time I have been living in UAE.. 10 yrs to be exact...coz my house is across the arabian sea. Although there are no waves and all the sound is hear is the horn of a crazy car.. nonetheless its worth the time spent there. Enjoy and do appreciate nature.. but then remember its Allah who has created such a thrill....Doesn't it make u wonder about Him?
