  1. It would be a very prudent measure if the Shari'i Courts request the two Oromo generals who defected to Eritrea, to come to its arms and fight against the Ethiopians. I am sure Eritrea will be willing to let them begin a southern front. In that way the Courts would have two claimants of parts of "Ethiopian" territory fighting alongside its mujhadeens;, the Oromos and the Somal Galbeed. We will then see if the already over stretched US army will come to rescue the Habash. The days of the Ethiopian dominace of the Horn are numbered, inshAllah.
  2. More Defected Militias From Ethiopia Join the Islamists Shabelle Media Network (Mogadishu) NEWS October 29, 2006 Posted to the web October 29, 2006 By Aweys Osman Yusuf Mogadishu Number of heavily armed militias led by a man dubbed Salad Hared from the Ethiopian Somali administered province has crossed into Somalia, joining the Union of Islamic Courts. About 180 militias with their small arms have attained Hiran provincial towm of Baled Weyn where they have been received by Islamic Courts in the area. On Saturday, about 40 militias led Col.Abas, a former commander of Kismayu airport, had defected from Barre Hirale, Somalia's defense minister, and joined the Islamic Courts in the port city of Kismayu. Somalia's Islamic fighters have reached Dhagtur in Mudug region where tribal wars took place on Friday. The Courts in the Mudug province, central Somalia said they went to the area to mediate Suleyman and Sa'ad sub-clans who also previously fought over pastoral land. The tribal fighting engulfed the lives of more than persons of both sides. Somalia had no national institutions since 1991 when tribal warlords overthrew former dictator Siyad Barre and then turned against one another, plunging the country into turmoil. http://allafrica.com/stories/200610290142.html
  3. Ethiopia: More Disturbing News from a Former Aid Darling of the West The Economist Oct 26th 2006 | NAIROBI THE story is reminiscent of a cold-war spy tale: two diplomats risking everything to smuggle a dissident out of the country with the secret police just one step behind. Except that in today's Ethiopia the secret police proved to be one step ahead and Yalemzewd Bekele, a young human-rights lawyer working for the European Commission office in Addis Ababa, never made it. She was dragged aside by a plainclothes officer at the border with Kenya on October 19th and is now in prison and at risk of torture (Editor's Note: she was released today at the intervention of EU top officials in Brussels). The two colleagues from the commission who had taken her to the border were arrested and deported. Ms Bekele's plight is probably connected to the arrest, on October 5th, of Alemayehu Fantu, a businessman. Mr Fantu was charged with distributing calendars with pictures of imprisoned opposition leaders on them. The calendars called for a campaign of non-violent civil disobedience to bring down the government—and seem to have driven the secret police berserk. A student was shot dead for handling them and those suspected of printing and distributing the calendars have been rounded up. Amnesty International, a human-rights pressure-group, is concerned that three of them may already have been tortured to death. Mr Fantu had difficulty walking when he appeared in court on October 12th. Senior diplomats believe he was injured by electric shocks. The brutality is nothing new. Tens of thousands of Ethiopians were killed in the late 1970s by a Soviet-backed Marxist regime trying to cement its hold over an intensely religious, impoverished and ill-educated populace. But it is a disappointment. Ethiopia's prime minister, Meles Zenawi, had been close to Britain's prime minister, Tony Blair, and a favourite of aid donors. His government has shown some leadership in reducing poverty, not least by extending the reach of primary schools, health clinics, electricity and roads. But the government's grip on power is slipping. An instinct for self-preservation may explain the former rebel fighters' return to Soviet methods. Things began to fall apart last year when a disorganised opposition disputed the results of a general election. Street protests followed in the capital in June and again in November. Around 80 people were believed to have been killed, including some police, after which opposition leaders, journalists, human-rights activists and businessmen were arrested. Many have since been charged with treason and genocide. The government promised a speedy trial but has reneged, dragging out the process while keeping it far from view. Most of those arrested are still languishing in Kaliti prison in Addis Ababa. The cells there are baking hot by day, freezing by night, infested with roaches and mice, and thick with mud in the rainy season. The government has so far used a mix of spin and harassment of journalists (local more than foreign) to avoid international condemnation. But that may be changing. An independent commission into the June and November killings has become an embarrassment. The government had stacked the commission with its supporters but eight out of ten of them still decided that the government had used excessive force. The commission members claim Mr Zenawi tried to get them to reverse their decision earlier this year; when that failed the government sought to bury the findings. The head of the commission and his deputy fled to Europe, fearing for their safety. Their investigation says at least 193 people were killed, nearly all by the security forces, including 40 teenagers, some shot at close range, others strangled. Some 20,000 young Ethiopians were said to be imprisoned in labour camps, though a government spokesman calls this “absolute rubbish”. The government is spending more on its secret police as well as on state media. Well-placed sources claim an Israeli-trained unit now monitors e-mail and blocks opposition websites. Yet there is also disloyalty in the security apparatus. Berhanu Nega, the imprisoned mayor-elect of Addis Ababa, managed to write a book in Kaliti entitled “Dawn of Freedom” that is now being widely distributed in samizdat. Some people say 200,000 of the opposition calendars have been sold, often for several times their cover price. The government could claw back some credibility by releasing the political prisoners, but this is unlikely. And that credibility took another knock last week when Mr Zenawi was forced to admit, after months of denial, that Ethiopian troops had indeed been sent to intervene in the growing civil war in neighbouring Somalia. Donor countries are disgusted by the treason trial, but equally terrified that the country could once again fall miserably apart if they dare to stop their aid.

I pray to see ICU make history by trigering the demise of the Xabash cancer in the Horn once and for all.
  5. Originally posted by Caamir: Have you read the rebuttal by Edward Said I haven't read Edward Said's. However Mohammed Hassens' "The Oromo of Ethiopia" is a vry good source on the Orrmos. Also, I just want to enlighten you on the fact that the Oromos have never been Pagan in recorded history even before the coming of Islam from across the sea. The Oromos always believed in ONE God (Waqaa Tokkichaa) Waqaa = God, Tokkichaa = the One from Tokko = one. Now nowhere in the Qur'an people who believe in One Creator are referred to as Mushrikkun/Pagan. Oromo/Meroe/Kush
  6. Originally posted by General Duke: Oromia, do you have any other sources to counter what I found enlighten us wont you. Present facts will you, I thought all Oromo were Muslim, and if the OLF the rebel movement and Oromo websites do not represent Oromo, then who does? Observer, the Tigray are Christain, those that reside in Eritrea as well as in Ethiopia. I do love your two liners. Olol,my point is why all the scream against the Ethioipians supporing the TFG, if the clan courts are using the help of Isaih Afwerki and OROMO fighters who might not be all Muslim. Ethiopia has even Somali officers in its armed forces. The best thing to find out about Oromos would be by travelling to Oromia from Hararghe to Illu Abb Bora; from Wollo to Arssii. You are right Muslim Oromos are uderrepresented on the www. Most educated Oromos are X-tians not surprisingly. Hence, Muslim Oromos underrepresentation on the www. Allahkarim, that will change. It is also useful to read Samuel Huntington's "Clash of Civilization" and find out what he says about the Oromo. Huntington, a fundamental X-tian and US Neo-con ideologue, was Meles Zenawi's advisor when the latter was in a heat of battle with the Oromos in 1993. I believe you agree it is a no-brainer that any Oromo in Somalia would be in Somalia except for Islamic solidarity. We are happy our Somali brothers are stronger than us even if they have their own problems to solve. I don't see any haram or even makru if we want to help both our brothers and ourselves by fighting against the Tigre on the side of our stronger brothers.

Please, stop this, and don't make me among the liers by misrepresenting my true image. Brother you have a chance, did you lie or not? Oromia are you Ubahane as well? Of course, there are ethnic Somalis, too. Is there a surprise Gen. Abzaid is leading the US army in Iraq?
  8. General "duke", I am settling with your "general" title. That's OK. ** all your sources are either special interest groups, OLF and western scholars ** the census you mentioned was done by the Tigre group for its own purpose of disinformation and corrupt budjget appropriation ** Of the clans of Oromo, the largest Afran Qallo in Hararghe 100% , Arssii 98%, Bale 98%, Sidamo 95%, Ittu 100%, Karrayu 100%, Warra Illu 98%, Warra Sheika 100%, Jimma 85%...Even in Shoa and Wollega provinces of pridominantly X-tian Xabasha population at least 50% of Oromos are known to be Muslims. **per my info in the Horn of Africa the first Islamic Front was founded by Sheik AbdulKarim Ibrahim a.k.a Jarra Abba Gadaa I don't think there are any OLF contingents in Somalia. Currently that group is taken over by western educated "wanna be duke" types of the Oromo version. ** While you prefer to argue against the ICU, Oromos, Ertreans, and Arabs, I haven't seen you argue against the Ethiopian regime so far. Why is that so? A mere coincidence ?
  9. They are there just to help their Muslim brothers against Ethiopia, a Zionist and Western out-post in the Horn. Anything wrong with that?
  10. You dare call yourself a muslim and are pro-ethiopian. you are being caught red-handed on all threads. ignoring my argumets won't change forum participants' perception towards you.
  11. SubhanAllah, arguing about 'clan' thing while people are readying themselves for shaheedhood to establish a shari'i regime in the horn.
  12. I believe this is more than enough evidence for you to believe there is no "myth" about the presence of Ethiopia created by ICU. Correct ?
  13. The confidential report, dated Oct. 26 and obtained by The Associated Press, cites diplomatic sources as estimating that "between 6,000-8,000 Ethiopians and 2,000 fully equipped Eritrean troops are now inside Somalia." Is the presence of thousands of Ethiopians in Somalia a myth created by ICU ? Please a yes or no answer if you are an honorable person and not a disguised Xabashi/Tigre.
  14. General Duke, With due respect I advise you not to work to weaken the ICU, the first promising political movement to come to the Horn of Africa in a long time. As the Movement is open for all advise from Somalis you will be better of consulting them than playing, directly or indirectly, into the Ethiopian thugs who since the Somali nation state was born tried to subdue and weaken it.
  15. Your Siyad Barre generals did not protect the Somali people when the country fragmented and became an easy target of the Habasha machinations. Actually MOST of them are responsible for what happened for Somalis since 1992. They still work for A.Yusuf who has become an Ethiopian agent. And beleive it this is not a myth. I don't understand why you are favouring them instead of the Oromos, Arabs and Eritreans who favour a united Somalia under the prophet's (sw)banner.
  16. RED SEA, I did not say you should cross the border that will be giving an excuse to the US and Israel... to come to the help of their puppet Zenawi. What I meant was as there are a lot of Oromos and Somali Galbeed who will be happy to see the demise of the Habash government the ICU should do its best to help organize those two both from Somalia and from the neghbouring states. These will in time heat up their own population in Ethiopia to stand and fight the Tigre regime. The struggle is very tough from inside Etiopia as the whole country is networked by Ethio-CIA spy network financed by the IMF and World bank. However, we are doing our best, Insh'Allah...
  17. After Baidoa the ICU should push furhter until it reaches the Ethiopian border. Just at the border it should establish a Court and a military camp where Oromos and Somali galbeed will train for the next invasion of the Habash. The two forces should serve as a buffer to push back any Ethiopian invasion in the future. If this measure is taken the Habash will never touch the Somali ground again. This also will weaken the Habash government and lead to its ultimate downfall in due time. Long Live ICU !!
  18. The point, Now I see what you mean; you are one of those who prefer slavery and servitude, than freedom and independence. By the same token you are also advising mainland Somalies to just sit and fill their belly under Abdullahi Yusuf and his Xabash army rather than fighting to chase the traitor and the occupier. If I did not know all Somalis think like you, I would be very, very sorry. But Alxaamdulillahi the ICU Somalis think better; and , that is why they are embarassing the Xabash and traitor A.Yusuf's army wherever they meet. Oromos support ICU victory all over Somalia !! Oromos support ICU victory against Xabash !! Oromos call for a united Oromo-Somali ICU formed in Horn of Africa !! Oromos call for the Islamic State of Horn of Africa !!
  19. The point, When I said "Insh'Allah, this will be the time to do away with, for once and for all, the one hundred fifty years of Ethiopian occupation, arrogance and destruction of our people" I was not only refering to Oromias occupation and destruction; I was laso refering to Somali Galbeed's and, mainland Somalia, too. I think you are in the clear now. Ansar O.
  20. In the fight against the Ethiopian Kafir, the agent of US Imperialism in the Horn, we Oromos will be on your side. Insh'Allah, this will be the time to do away with, for once and for all, the one hundred fifty years of Ethiopian occupation, arrogance and destruction of our people. Eid Mubarak. Ansar Oromo.
  21. Nothing more could be said. It's all clear and it has always been clear. I don't know why we Muslims have to recreate the wheel over and over again. The western elite's so-called "Democracy" Malcolm X had summed it up as a whitewash of white supermacism. In the international arena we have seen for the last 50+ years the "international community's" reluctance to help the Muslim palestinians' everyday treatment as game animals by the Facsit Zionist entity. What's been going on since 9/11 doesn't need any comment. One can only be hopelessly blind and ignorant to still need more evidences to give the west the benefit of the doubt. The west is anti-Islam in its all forms. It only vouchs for "moderate" Islam to hit one after the other in the classical infamous Divide and Rule colonial policy it is well versed with. To avoid a wholesale Muslim massacre (it is already happening in many parts of the world), the West has to be confronted resolutely. But the struggle should start from within as the UIC have begun. We expect the Oromos to start doing the same, the Gama Islamia to overthrow that salve of the west Mubarak....many, many more. The struggle should first be to clean our houses. Insh'Allah...

I don't know where you heard the Americans are pushing for dialogue. We know what they tried to do in somalia recently and we know they are blocking the international arbitration's ruling in favour of Eritrea form being implemented at any forum they could do so. That is what is pushing Isayas to help Oromos and Somalis to help him weaken hie archenemy. However, what I am proposing is unless this archenemy of somalis, oromos, and eritreans are weakened strategically once and for all, we can prevent further bloodshed from taking place in the Horn. I think, your Malcolm X quote, therfore, however right,is misplaced.
