  1. Well i dont know if it helped muslim as such. However what it did do is force them to confront the reality of their situation as we became the focus of many suspisons in the various countries we live in.

  7. Don't think that we cannot change our fate because of the warloards back home and the number of enemies we must face outside outside somalia's borders, namely ethopia and america. Israel's Ariel Sharon had the gall to openly boast that "We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." (Knesset, Tel Aviv, October 3, 2001). It must be noted that Jews are less than 2% of the total population of United states(we are 100% in somalia yet we are still divided?)! Sharon can say this because the jews are united, economically effluent, fiercely loyal to their cause, loyal to their leaders and vocal on all isuues related to their well-being. We don't have the above qualities. And thats exactly what we need to acheive.
  8. Salams Nomads Am glad u enjoyed it ppl. It its good to see not all people in the west are blind to this
  9. Who knows saxiib. I no that as we speak the conintue to carry our 'urgent mentance work' under the Masjid Al-Aqsa claiming that their repairing some old drainage systems. The last i heard is that they hope that some time in the future that the masjiid could collapse on its own wait. well this is the intentions anyway. So i hope that answers your question.

  11. Am in the Uk, what channel is PBS?? and do u no how i can access it from here?
  12. I think the question really is what should be the nxt govt system for somalia, because the last reply was correct in saying that we are far to critical a ppl to just expect 'A' person to be someone who we would rally around. We will need to develop something that would stasify the whims and concerns of all our ppl. Then the question as to who should be the nxt somali prezident wouldnt be such a hot potato
  13. -------------------------------------------------- i can't belive i'm doing this but HEY WHO CARES i must admit i have little crush on SOMALIAONLINE PRESIDENT ...nothing big. I admire: Jamal-11(for his intelligence), Ameenah(the beloved one),Sujui-1(for his particapation in all intellectual disscussions which i admire and great sense of humour.) and THE-GIRL-OF-UR-DREAMS(i love her for her realistic point, and approachable disscussions towards political issues that are existing in our world.) -------------------------------------------------- Hey thx much appreciated sentiments those . I Myself admire many nomads on here and i suppose to list but a few would mean excluding the vast majority. However i can say that i admire those nomads who continue to contribute those gr8 topics that make me come back here so often. Am sure the no who they are. But if i was hard pressed to say who's posts i enjoy reading particularly i would have to say 'lately' they have only been a few namely Nasra and LATEAFHA .
  14. Indeed as the 20 centuray has already passed by many muslim countries are still struggling to reconciling themselves with modernity. But the question is why? Consider the fact that the vast majorirty of muslim countries, infact all of them are run by autocracies (and totally incompetant ones @ that)and you should realise that to draw some comparisons between the relative sucessess of the western societies (in creating morden states i.e. welfare state, free eductaion, multy party govt) and those muslim countries is somewhat misleading. I myself doubt very much that the problem is (for the general population) anymore or less the result of ideological differences (go west? or remain sted fast to the idea of an islamic republic)than the lack of access to vital resources, the lack of a health services, the provision of free education, the lack of freedom to scrutinize the ruling party regime and so forth. Of course Islamic countries should be able to modernize, however as u quite righty stated the legacy of the recent colonial history coupled with a succession of un democractic, and un islamic regimes have brought several muslim countries to the piont @ which there @ today.

  16. Firstly Thx for bothering to reply saxiib lol, i guess this topic never really caught the hearts and imagination of my nomads. Or maybe a better analsys of the appauling level of response (namely None until urs)should tell me that we are exactly that. And yes saxiib i did no that somalia was the only african country to witness a peacful change in presdency, But thx for reminding me anway. such an unfortunate shame that The Big head (President ) then got assinated. But once again thx for replying saxiib, who knows maybe this topic will get going now.

  19. Like i said i knew prior to the start of the second group stages that roma would struggle, of course injury and luck has also played against them, but this is just a year for restructuring. Abdul its all good saxiib am becoming even more convinced that it will probably be an italian team that wins the champ league this year, who nows if the draws work out favourable, it could be an all italian final perhaps Inter Juve or Milan Juv. Baanyial , wot team do u support.
  20. Thx very much for the post saxiib it was gr8 to read those qoutes again. Walaahi it doesnt take much to acknowledge what is around u but honesty. Thats is the problem with all too many people who disbelive arrogance that darkens the heart. Keep contributing these postive topics Tenacious_J.
