Oh yes...my tendency to blow several hundred pounds on impulsive shopping sprees at any given moment makes putting money aside a tad difficult I can relate I tagged along with a friend and a relative who were both intent on some retail therapy this weekend, in the end i ended up spedning more than them combined .... Cant say am missing student life that much, although worryingly i do find myself all to often wondering around the corridoors of my old institution -

Yeah admitedly it looks all over now in Seria, although mathematically Juve n Roma can still catch and overhall Milan, i doubt that will happen very much. Milan for The double Seria n Champions League???

Amiin And may allah punish all those responsible in the needless suffering of these women, the somali war lords and militia aswell as the kenyan police men, in this life as well as the next Walaahi i almost cry when i think of the horror and suffering that they and their daughters, who could easliy have been our mothers, our sisters, our relatives, have experienced, and are possible still in danger off, and why??? Its easy to conclude when recounting on such events, that somali people are down there with the lowest of the low amongst the worlds worset nations.

maaan if only Arsenal beat MAN'U in the FA cup simifinal..mate that would be rubbing salt into the wound Fergie would absolutely go offf He will need conselling if that occurs lol, so to will all these arsenal fans when the reality hit's home. Shaqsii ndugu, trebile did i here u say lol, well lets see what tomorrows draw brings. 2 French teams, 2 English, 2 Spanish, and Milan and Porto respectively. I will have to go, begruddingly wth Milan, they are the only representative of Calcio left in the competition, and they have been the best team over the year in Italy. So that, in my mind, makes them outright favourites

I would say that it would be an unfair generalization to call italians more racisit than the english. Italy doesnt have such a diverse population as Uk, and london, and this is reflected througt it's society right through to their facisit leader Mr.Berlosconi. Its football culture however is very refreashing, in my opnion. After all are Perugia are the one who brought Hedotoshi Nakata from Japan after the world cup, and Shinsuku Nakumura followed to reggina 2 seasons ago. Fabio Liverani's selection into the national team after just 1 and half years of top flight football says alot about the italian FA, the same cannot be said about their dibious english counterpart who have, over the years over looked many outstanding established black players for no justifiable reasons

They seem to be picking up pace again, but milan are on record points pace [droping just 2 points in last 10 games]the need to lose next week to Juve for the title running to be tense, then we can kill them off in sansiro our selves (or i hope so anyway ). Brecia 2-Juventus 3 Milan 3- Sampdoria 1 Roma 4 - Inter 1 Three featured games, three title contenders 3 phaat matches, i guess 3 is the magic number . Case 1. Pirlo's Goal, passing, skills and overall player, n Kaka's magic Case 2. Juve's Indomitable spirit and figt back from 2-0 down to 2-3 Case 3. And the Cassano and Totti show lights up the Olimpico which should have read 6-1 rather 4-1 Now i defiy any one of the usual Premership louts who says that Seria Is a Boring league, it is infact without a shawdow of doubt (as amply evidenced yet again this week) the best N most exciting Forza Calcio

Thx for the views Guys. Geel Jire the cuban system hs had a high degree of success but also leaves abit to be desired. Waaq and Urban Nomad You both quite right in saying that debt reilef will not achieve much without good governance in place, and its fair to say that in many african statets and many other third world countries good governance is not a prevelent thought or practise, and simple debt reilef could result in my odious debts being built up by unscrupulous leaders over time. But the below anayalsis is very important in the wide picture.. Former dictator Mobuto Sese Seko who assassinated the country's elected leader was granted loans that disappeared into foreign banks with few traces. To allow such a practise, in so many countries to continue, knowing fully well that the funds where not being utillised for in any productive way suggest to me that they we planning ahead. and yet who will be left to pick up the tab on just the interest payements let alone the debt itself??? the average poverty striken worker. And even where you have an attempt to implement good governance as is the case in Ghana the odious debt repayment scheme means that a significant amount of the GDP is spent on debt repayment rather than on Education, Health and the provision for what the western world would consider as basic provision of water and electricity

Henry wary of fatigue The team who can win Euro 2004 will be the one with the freshest players Arsenal and France striker Thierry Henry Thierry Henry is hoping France do not suffer from the fatigue that affected them at the 2002 World Cup when they compete at the European Championship. The striker has inspired Arsenal to the top of the Premiership and last 16 of the Champions League. But he is worried tiredness will prevent him from firing on all cylinders in Portugal. Henry told Uefa's website: "You need to be fresh. At the 2002 World Cup so many great teams went out early." Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has rested the 26-year-old when possible, but Henry is likely to face a hectic season run-in as the Gunners chase silverware on three fronts. He added: "The likes of Italy and Argentina, as well as France, looked like they couldn't play the ball they were all so tired. "The team who can win Euro 2004 will be the one with the freshest players. It makes such a difference in this kind of competition." Henry hopes Manchester City striker Nicolas Anelka will join him in the French squad in Portugal. Anelka eyes France return Anelka has been out of the picture since falling out with coach Jacques Santini. But Henry said: "I know Nicolas and I know what a shame it is for his career that he is not in the national team. "I don't know what is going to happen but I hope they sort it out between him and the coach. Things look quite good." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Who agree's?? Thats a pretty lame excuse to make for the supposed bigg teams poor showing at the world cup no? france, argentine n italy and spain included. Lets hope there is some football played this time. I certainly enjoyed the african nations cup much more than the last world cup. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Anelka eyes France return Anelka has scored six goals for France Manchester City striker Nicolas Anelka has revealed that he would like to return to international football. The 24-year-old suggested last year that he would not play for France again after a row with coach Jacques Santini. But he is looking for a possible return for Euro 2004 and told French newspaper L'Equipe: "I want to be a French international again. "When you get older, you change, and you grow up. I never closed the door to the French team." Santini has recently been hit by a five-match suspension handed to striker Djibril Cisse after his dismissal in an Under-21 fixture. That means Cisse cannot play at Euro 2004 until the final, which means he is unlikely to be named in the squad for the finals. Cisse would have been the most likely replacement for first choice strike duo Thierry Henry and David Trezeguet. But Cisse's absence could pave the way for Anelka to return. Santini will announce his squad to face Belgium in a friendly international in Brussels on 18 February next Thursday. And French Football Federation president Claude Simonet has recently hinted that Anelka could be set for a recall. Should Santini accept the wayward striker back into the fold? From TM - Host Have your say on 606 But when asked on Friday if Anelka would be selected, Simonet said: "I'm not the coach. "I'm president of the federation and I delegate my powers to the coach so that he can do his job properly. "If at a particular time it seems to Santini that Anelka is indispensible, that is a problem he will sort out with the player." Anelka made his last of his 28 appearances for France in April 2002 against Russia. The Manchester City striker enraged Santini by declining a call-up to play for the national team against Yugoslavia in November 2002. Santini had asked Anelka to join up late with the squad as a replacement for the injured Sidney Govou. Anelka further riled the coach by saying that Santini would have to go down on his knees to lure him back. But the 24-year-old has now admitted his actions were wrong. "I can understand that Santini was hurt by my comments," added Anelka. "Now the easiest would be to discuss with him and see how he sees things. If I have to tell him something I will do it face to face."

AC Milan 23 58 Roma 23 53 Juventus 23 52 ----------------------------------------------------------------- lol thx for illustrating my point saxiib lol. Saxiib my point has always been that La Liga along with the premiership have always been behind seria A, how u want to rank them is up to you. But if u go back and look at the last 15 to 20 years in europe (and dont let me confront you with the statistics), be it the Champions league, Uefa Cup, European super Cup, Cup winners Cup, Seria A has been dominant. It is the best league in teh world. And last years displays in the champions league might have reminded some people of that, but any person who continued to watch seria a will say that it remain the premeir league through. There are still 3 bigg teams in with the title shot with 11 games to go. Just 6 points separate Milan, Roma, n Juve. Premiership Gap 9p oints to chelsea and Man u, with both looking as inconsistent as each other La Liga 8 points no clear Challanger to Real, with depor & valen struggling, and barca to far behind despite their late charge I was hoping Lazio would beat milan thsi weekend, that would have make the race even more hotter, but they failed to convert they chance, and hands up, Milan are playing some of the best football at the moment. To be honest milan look extremly hungry for Seria A this year, and their squad might push them to it, deservedly so. But as always the league will be decided at the death, not with 11 games mate to go. Milan still have to play Juve away, and Roma at home amongst other triky ties and am sure u will see the gap closed down in the next 2 3 weeks.
