Salam Calayakum sis Some very interesting questions you've raised. I think it would be fair to say that your first paragraph is highly accurate and not a generalization at all. Is this for better or for worse? Well to be perfectly honest it really does come down to the circumstances facing the individual and the scenrio surronding the family. But as a principle i think it would greatly benefit the boy/girl and indeed the firmly were they to encourage there children to be more independant. To answer your second paragraph would be difficult without making general assumtpions based on to types of potential effects of somali teens moving out of there comfort/family zone. Teen type 1, could prosper greatly from the newly found freedom/responsibilites and oppotunites and make something of themselves personally academically and finacial and thus be a great asset for there family, all things else being equal. Teen type2, might enjoy some of the trappings of the newly found freedoms, but without the comfort zone of the house and them negleting the responsibilities of living appropriately they may falter and become an even greater burden to there family. For better or for worse eventual we all must progress on to adult hood, sadly some family's (perhaps alot/perhaps a few) dont or havent had the forsight to encourage their children to be more independant than they are. I think it all boils down really to the individual's concerned sis. But collectively as a family unit and a community the more encouragment to progress and improve we give to our younger ones, then this problem need only be temporary and not a permenant compliant.

Pray for her abayo? I cant pray for her, my pray's go out to the muslims suffering world wide, like in Iraq, in Palestine, in kashmir, in Thialand. I cant bring myself to pray for someone who has abused our Nabi SAW and continues to defam and slander muslim and Islam. -
Mashallah this is a very informative debate. I would myself just like to pick up again on the specific point of why our adopt nations might desire or want to see us integrated as a matter of urgency as opposed to other immigrant communities. And is there really just a substitution of words for the sake of political correctness, where integration and assimilation are concerned? Dutch anti-terror raid nets two Dutch warning to EU The Dutch Immigration Minister, Rita Verdonk, has warned that EU countries are at risk, because of an increasing radicalism among young Muslims. She said member states must act urgently to improve the integration of foreigners. The minister, whose nation holds the EU presidency, said countries must ensure that immigrants learn the local language and accept Western values, but she said the EU also needed to develop, in her words, a common vision of integration. Last week EU leaders agreed to create a common asylum system by 2010 to try to prevent illegal immigration into the EU.

Expirenced players is what we need. We have dacourt perrota tommasi and chivu out, tommasi until teh end of the year. I also think with cassano and pannuchi dropped from teh sqaud and the example you gave of delvechio's tactical substitution, we have got the man we need to sort out Roma in this transition year. What i saw from the game against milan is that we can blood many younger stars like aquilina and de martino providing there is enough expirence around them. I think when Chivu regains full fitness, and der rossi forms and effective partnership with perrota our line up could improve greatly from a tactical point of view. I would like to see this team take shape in the next couple of months. Gk Pel Dr Sartor DL Chivu DC Mexes DC Ferrari MR Mancini ML Perrota MC Dacourt MC De Rossi FC Totti FC Monetlla curfe, and Dellas Delvechio and Cassano Agostino and Aquilina on the sub's bench. I think then u would see a more settled and progressive team.

Dutch Islamic school set ablaze Graffiti on the school wall referred to Van Gogh's death Suspected arsonists have caused major damage to an Islamic school in the Netherlands amid violence in the wake of film maker Theo van Gogh's murder. Firefighters battled the blaze at the primary school in the southern town of Uden, where graffiti scrawled on the walls had referred to the killing. There has been heightened tension since Van Gogh was shot and stabbed last week, allegedly by an Islamic militant. A funeral was held for Van Gogh, 47, in Amsterdam on Tuesday. He had made a controversial film, critical of Islamic culture. Intended to illustrate domestic violence in Muslim societies, it featured images of Koranic verses daubed on semi-naked women. Several men, all believed to be Islamic radicals, have been arrested in connection with his death. The alleged killer is Mohammed Bouyeri, a 26-year-old Dutch-Moroccan. Graffiti No one is reported to have been hurt in the blaze late on Tuesday, but the building is said to have been severely damaged. Graffiti scrawled on Bedir school read: "Theo, rest in peace", Dutch television reported. Dutch views on Van Gogh's death In pictures Uden Mayor Joke Kersten admitted that the fire bore the indications of arson. "A school does not ignite spontaneously," she told NOS television, quoted by the AFP news agency. Mosques in several Dutch cities have been the targets of vandalism and failed arson attempts since the killing. The mayor of Eindhoven ordered extra security for mosques and schools following a bomb blast at an Islamic school, which caused serious damage on Monday. Police are also investigating two petrol bomb attacks on churches in Utrecht and Amersfoort, which caused minor damage early on Tuesday. 'Fear for the future' Van Gogh was shot and stabbed to death as he cycled in broad daylight through an Amsterdam street. The ceremony at an Amsterdam crematorium was televised, but only friends and family were let in. Hundreds of mourners outside watched the ceremony on giant screens. Van Gogh directed TV series and wrote newspaper columns Van Gogh's father said his son would have deplored the attacks on Muslim targets. "I fear for the future," his mother said, choking with emotion. Several hundred Dutch-Moroccans rallied in a nearby park, many of them wearing orange T-shirts reading "We won't put up with extremism any more". Muslim leaders say their communities fear further attacks. Correspondents say that Van Gogh's killing and the violent response have shocked many in the Netherlands. "Let us break through the spiral of violence and insecurity," Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende said on Dutch television. "The Netherlands has always been a fine country with respect for different cultures," he added. --------------------------------------------------------------------

Man U mad for De Rossi? Tuesday 9 November, 2004 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are reports that Manchester United are lining up a £17m swoop for Daniele De Rossi, while Gigi Del Neri reveals the problem with Antonio Cassano. Although Roma have solved some of their financial problems by penning a new pay-per-view television contract with Sky Italia, they are still open to selling off some of their top stars if the right bid comes along. The youth system has turned out some great players over the years and the latest talent is midfielder De Rossi, who this year won the European Under-21 Championship, the Olympic Bronze medal and is now a senior Italian international. According to reports in Italy, Sir Alex Ferguson had already made enquiries after the 21-year-old in September, but the signing of a new contract tying him to the Capital club until 2009 put a stop to talks. However, it’s now claimed that negotiations have started up again following De Rossi’s strong performances in Serie A and for Italy, with a £17m offer on the table to reinforce Man U’s midfield. ------------------------------------------------------------ I doubt if the story is true he would leave just now, but just goes to show you guy's i can spot a talent , and Roma has a lot of gem's in there squad. But Man u would certainly benefit from a talent like him with Kean fast fading away

IL CAPO bro i could agree more, but you cannot change him now, its too late. His action dont get checked and never have been by the Italian and his a Roman, arrogant and indifferent by nature and it shows in his football. Its too late, i am just glad that Del Neri is taking the rest of the players by the scruff of there nakes and trying to developed there disipline as well as there football.

Dutch film maker to be cremated Shocked Correspondents say that Van Gogh's killing and the violent response have shocked many in the Netherlands. "The Netherlands is a nation where people ought to want to meet one another, where cultures meet each other," Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende said on Dutch television. "The atmosphere that has arisen must disappear," he said, quoted by the Associated Press. "It does not suit the Netherlands." But it suites the nerthlands to have as a leader of one of there parties fanning the flames of religious hate  lol the hypocracy's. Dutch fear loss of tolerance

Yeah but to be far to him i would have down teh same aswell . Ramelow is a dirty player and was flowing throut the whole game, and the incident your refering too he came charging into and executed a 2 footed tackle on totti which if he made contact could easly have lead to a serious injury. Admitedly he could have easily avoided landing on Ramelow but i would have down the same . I expect Uefa to vindicate Totti and Ban Ramelow -
Already looking forward to some titanic clashes Ars v Chls looks like an early title decider, i think who ever gets the pyscological advantage might go on to win the title. Likewise it really is looking like a 2 hrose race in italy this year, barring inter putting together 5 or 6 win roll, so Milan v Juventus is the game am waiting for in Seria A

It does not bother me if this forum is called general, universal, off-topic, on-topic or even Iska hadal (as some brothers suggested). For this is the only section that seems to remind me of that Paint Advert with the slogan “ Does exactly what it says on the tin†. However, I’m more concerned with the other parts of this site and, frankly, I’m surprised that you and the admin who you managed to entice into this pointless rearranging of furniture, are not. Have you, or the admin, looked at the politics section lately? I realise you can’t request to change the name of that section (what would you call it!), however, if quality is what concerns you then surely the sort of claptrap that is posted on that section would take precedence over the trivia on a section that does not pretend to be anything but trivial. loool I agree, the politics section could do with alot more administration, but i guess as soon as an attempt is made on clean up that section of the site any nomads effected wll be protesting bais. But i whole heartedly agree i am now going Off the Topic so i guess i agree with the change in title

US to remain 'aggressive' abroad HOUSE BROTHER  Powell has ended speculation on the direction of Bush's second term The US Secretary of State has said that his country will continue to pursue an "aggressive" foreign policy. In an interview with the Financial Times, Colin Powell said President George Bush would not alter or curtail his policies abroad in his second term. "The president is not going to trim his sails or pull back," Mr Powell said in his first interview since the election. "It's a continuation of his principles, his policies, his beliefs," he told the London-based newspaper. Our European friends have no illusion that the president wants to have a strong relationship with all of our European friends and allies, notwithstanding any disagreements we have had in the past Colin Powell Profile: Colin Powell The president had won a mandate to pursue a foreign policy that was in the US national interest, he said. This policy had traditionally been "aggressive in terms of going after challenges, issues", Mr Powell added, and the president was "going to keep moving in this direction". Mr Bush would take a multilateral approach, he said, but the US would act alone where necessary. Peace in Middle East However, Mr Powell stressed that an aggressive foreign policy also applied to developing world issues, including Aids and the Middle East peace process. The Middle East peace process was "one of the biggest overhangs in our foreign policy", he said. After disagreements with European leaders over US policy, Mr Bush was "anxious to reach out" to them. Mr Powell explained to reporters on Monday that he would be "spending a lot of time in Europe in the weeks coming up" in an effort to heal divisions. "Our European friends have no illusion that the president wants to have a strong relationship with all of our European friends and allies, notwithstanding any disagreements we have had in the past," he said. However Mr Powell's interview, published on Tuesday, puts a stop to any thoughts that a second Bush term might have heralded a change in US foreign policy, says the BBC's Ian Pannell in Washington. Mr Powell did not address speculation over whether he would continue to serve during President Bush's second term, our correspondent adds. -------------------------------------------------------------- I for one am glad that Bush got re-elected. He can only continue to bring things to a head with his uncomprimising evangelical neo-con inspired messanic dream of exported 'democracy' to the rest of the 'uncivilsied' word. I pray that any renewed action and interferance in countries such as pakistan, Iraq, Saud Arabia etc etc, will only serve to accelerate the demise of this corrupt regimes and inspire peacefull grass-root revoultions.
