Must admit i am quite schocked with this excellent signing. Wenger has been chasing this kid for the last two seasons. I thought all hope was lost when he signed a new contract with Sevilla, keeping him there until 2010. Real Madrid came in with a 25 million pound bid in the summer, but the Sevilla president, said that he would never sell him to any Spanish club. I remember watching this kid this season against Real Madrid,he tore them up to pieces. Sevilla won that game 4-1. He is the Spanish version of Harry kewell, and Ryan Giggs. Him and Joacquin from Betis are the new hopes of Spain. This kid will make Arsenal's game more fluid, than it already was,and just improved Arsenal's chances of winning the CL. Hopefully he doesn't turn out to be a step-over showcase like C.Ronaldo Arsenal FC CL and PL Champions-Elect

have to say ; Egypt and Senegal!

roma roma tieni duro, prendi le valeci and va fa un giro ,man i don't know what da hell dat means, but sounds funny fo sho. I would have to say Roma is one of the most overated teams, these pretenders have been humbled for the third time in 16 days by the bore specialists AC Milan today. Can you literally see Arsenal being beaten by Manu three games on the trot in the span of 16 days? What about Madrid and Valencia,or Munich and Leverkusen,or Monaco and Marsellie? Shows Shujui that his beloved team are holding the top spot for AC or Juve, and exposes the weakness of the Seria A,when the top team gets beaten three games in a row,by the same team,by the same scoreline.

you need to update your understanding of the laws of the game. The ref did not tell the Villa player's to retreat, they assumed to be the case. In that matter Henry had the quick thinking of asking the ref for the quick free kick. Same shit happened to Arsenal a few seasons back against a an O'leary managed Leeds. No doubt that Chelsea-Birmingham game was a complete bore, but what do u expect from Birmingham who have shit face Robbie Savage in their squad. Same shit can be said bout the boredom i felt watching AC Milan get frustrated by lowly Brescia.

ma bad,here's the link Cruyff

lol yeah your more likely to find Aalex Fergson saying a jakoozi with Arsen wenger than seeing the great man in PensionLeague That can never happen,Wenger sees himself as a classy french aristocrat, where we already know Ferguson is a typically drunk scot. I remember when Arsenal won the league at Old Trafford in 2002. Ferguson invited Wenger for a drink at his office,Wenger astutely objected. A bit cocky i would say! With all due respect Jay Loyd samuel, and ole Melborg and players of the elk of.....(walaahi i cannot even think of any of these sh** defenders) are not Lilian Thuram or Fabio Cannavaro or Walter Samuel qaulity. somehow agreed, but if i can name the defenders of Ancona,Modena..etc and compare them to the so called big name defenders of the PL,you will get the same reaction sort of,lol. Seria A is defend first, attack later, where the PL is the opposite. So ofcourse one league will promote it's astute defenders, and the other will promote it's attacking flair. Man crespo ran from italy precisally because he's end was nie, last year he scored a miserable 3 leage goals all season , as apposed to 9 champions league goals. What you joking, aren't we all measuring the real skills of these players when they play in the CL,rather than their respective leagues? Mutu was with doubt one of the biggest stars in Seria A scoring free kicks heads long shots and penlaties alike. But yesturday he came on as a sub for joe cole F.C.U.K ummmm doesn't that throw away your whole argument of seria A being a tougher league to succeed in,in comparison to the PL? lol i think all my mad rantings have finally got to ya bro. Italy are the second most successfull nation in world soccer what you on about. Like the brits would say, your talking bullocks now, here's a link to show the two most successful football nations in world soccer, not european soccer! Best nations Also Italy's first world cup in 1934,was a Mussollini influenced one,so you can throw that one away. The dutch owned the 70's without winning any trophies, and only sparked in 1988.They are no where near the acheivements of the french or germans,or italians( ). Anyways check this link,it will show the resemblence between Arsenal's play and Cruyff Ajax and Holland. Pay close attention to Henry's resemblence to Cruyff's style!

This is getting a little too repetitive. Henry doesn't need to go back to the seria A to prove his doubters wrong. he already staked his claim at the stadio olympico and the san siro, what more do u want. Damn y'all are stubborn headed. Talk to me when sheva comes to england and burns a few cockneys. If you think it's just about pace and some skill, then why isn't david Bellion from manchester lighting up the PL? What about the fastest footballer playing,Dennis Rommedhal from PSV,is the Dutch league much more difficult to score in than the PL? How about Mr. Crespo, who was a free scorer in Seria A,and now all he does is miss open nets! Mutu was the rock behind Parma's offense, and scored plenty in the seria A,with Chelsea he isn't doing any better than what he was doing in Parma. The italians need to stop claiming to boast the best defenders, cause if that was the case, Italy would have won something by now. Instead their best defender Nesta had the ball go through his legs for France two goals against Italy in the final, and Maldini was out jumped by a third rate Korean striker in the world cup defeat to South Korea. Stop believeing the hype,English clubs have a field day whenever they play the Italian panzies. That will be the case again in this year's CL if they meet!

Manu has been humbled by the worst team in the league today, Wolverhampton Wolves. What a complete disgrace,is this england's pride? Wolves 1-0 Manu LOOOOOL

shujui Gerrard Houllier??? man i wont even go into that. And Cosmin Contra make it into the team infront of Say Giggs or Zambrotta is a mystery And where is Del Boy and Totti and Samuel?? That season Gerrard won five trophies with Liverpool, eventhough three could be thought of as nothing. But still winning the UEFA cup and defeating the CL winners(Real Madrid)in the super cup, is merit enough for him to be placed there. That season Cosmin Contra was probably among the three best players in Europe,no doubt the best Right back or Centre back.He was quite a revelation, until he moved to the seria A. DEl Boy was injured for sometime i think that season, and Trez was running the show. Totti and Samuel got the accolades the season before i think not too sure.

how come Roma had two players upfront (cassano N Totti) and after Totti's sendoff (Montella, he could have scored the winner as well) Where was Henry???!! Inter had infact three man upfront (Martins, Cruz N V/D Mayde) and the midfield got totally outplayed Did you even watch the games? Roma's two forwards were playing in the middle,as the midfield players pushed back. They were playing a counterattacking game, yet this is not their style at all. Why did they need to change it only in HIghbury? Same with Valencia who played with John Carew upfront only and was drafted back to the midfield byline,Valencia never play this kind of game! Inter Milan also had all their forwards in the midfield area,Cruz and Martins remained parallel the whole game with ANdy V.Meyde(who is a right winger). Inter scored three goals out of 4 shots, two of the goals were the goalies mistake. I've chosen Inzaghi just becoz he played much better N consistant the Henry (even though I don't like the guy) plz face this fact. And if you claim Henry would have scored more goals the R/V Nistelrooy just because he had less games then him, because of Arsenal shortages, then I sugggest him to move on and go to a team where live is beyond the Group stages m8, don't you agree with me on that. Inzaghi ended up last season with 10-11 CL goals,4 of those goals came against a poor Deportivo side, who are known to be handing gifts in some games for ex. Monaco 8-2 Deportivo. Are you now gonna claim Dado Perso from MOnaco to be a great striker? He did score 4 against Depor too,and i think is the leader in the CL this season. Again Henry scored 7 goals, 3-4 lesser than an Inzaghi who played more games, what proven fact are you talking about. Simple math will show you the goals to game ratio! And what more bizare is that you saying Ronaldo is scared for his place just because Henry might join Real, that shows m8, you are blindly in love. Ronaldo link Like i said it is a rumor,so if true Ronaldo is angry that Real is touting him around to be replaced by Henry. Keep up to date with your transfer articles instead of claiming blind love, lol. the fact is with Arsenal "when the going gets touch, arsenal bottle it big time" and taht facts is illustrated many years in the last couple of CL years. Why should a team with the budget of a first division club be expected to accomplish year in year out against the big money makers of world Football. Do you have the same expectations for Chelsea,Newcastle or Liverpool? All three of those teams have bigger budgets than Arsenal, and have a better collective squad than Arsenal,so what is the key then? What is the key to Arsenal placing in 1st or 2nd since Wenger's reign. Even the big boys of Manchester had to live with third place,in Arsenal's double winning season. Could it be because Arsenal has Henry, and the other's don't? Any real footie fan can tell a good player from a mediocre and a bad one. This is an obvious case of a fans hatred towards a player, clouding his judgement. If you believe that it is all media hype, then why not pick any other player to hype up and see how far they would go with him. Let's see how far they will get praising and hyping up Inzaghi, not far for sure. These days all the talk is about Sheva's form, which is very deserved.Next time you watching Henry play, try watching him with both eyes, rather than one.Great players are not made, they make themselves!

It seems that Shujui has got a new partner in Peninsula! First and foremost welcome to this forum of Arsenal fans against everyone else. It is quite suprising to see you put "Inzaghi let me back on to you, shirt puller" ahead of Henry. For you to understand Henry, you have to understand Arsenal's game. This is a team that plays ball to feet, with quick movements. There is no aerial prowess in this team,or hoofing the ball upfield for a striker like sheva, inzaghi or kliuvert to head down to their teamate who's making a run. Wenger is trying to develop a whole different style of playing,it is very risky and will take a little more longer to come through. Teams know that the easiest way to stop Arsenal,is by flodding the midfield and sticking a lone striker up front(exactly what Roma,Ajax and Valencia did last season when they came to highbury). Now playing such a cramped game,in a small pitch like highbury would produce a very low scoring game. Henry scored 7 CL goals last season, which was 5 lesser than the leader RVN,playing two whole games lesser than RVN. That had him as the 5th highest scorer in last season's competition. Is that the stat of some mediocre player? Henry doesn't have anyone feed him goals like RVN,Sheva,Inzaghi,raul..etc do. He creates his goals, and supplies them to his teamates. He is the Ruicosta,Scholes,Zidane of Arsenal. Now tell me any other striker that can carry such a weight load? I don't remember hearing of any player that went to Italy two seasons in a row,in the most intimidating stadiums(Stadio Olympico and San Siro),and light it up as he did. Many people are just quite distraught at how a team like Arsenal, who boast a 38,000 seat stadium, and hardly no money, with star players you can count in one hand, do so well and cause so much hysteria all over the world. I remember watching just a few days ago Real Madrid vs Real Socieadad. My god the whole madrid team was poor, they look a different outfit when beckham is absent. Ronaldo and Raul where no where to be seen,Ronaldo couldn't even beat one defender one on one. No wonder he is getting bitter about the Henry coming to Real rumors. This whole issue will be put to rest, once the two biggest teams in the Seria A,come to play Arsenal in the CL. Soon it will come, mark my words! Again if you see yourself questioning Henry's abilities, try getting hold of Javier Zanetti, and ask him about Henry!
-
Shaqsii our youth are ok at best,no one really impresses me except maybe Aliadiere and Fabregas(16) years old. Don't forget they had the guidance of highly established veterans like Kanu,Wiltord(shit) and Veira. West Brom outplayed us for the whole game, and were unfortunate not get a few penalties. This was one of those games were we rode our luck and took our two chances. Shujui did Mancini already get called up for the Brazilian international team? I don't mean the B team either. I have admit he is the sole reason why Roma are doing so well this season, especially in comparison to that over hyped panzie Totti, lol.
-
Why would Carlos need to be generous to Arsenal for,did Wenger give him a present or something? I think shujui is bitter that his italian panzies did not get a mention from Figo and now Carlos. It's obvious that the whole world except a few are praying for the elimination of the Italian bore masters. I mean who wants a repeat of last season's CL final! Yo tank you in tdot now or mtl still?
-
Fair enough,Henry didn't deserve it this season. But for sure next season it's his,all due to Arsenal ofcourse making it to the CL Finals this season
-
both teams were pathetic ,just Chelsea had more of an onus to attack. Am glad they won this one, cause i see them faltering easily later on,compared to Manu.
-
Yo tank,it's all gravy man,the library can be a fun place sometimes! Damn you got the UEFA pass? Can two people use it at the sametime? man arsenal, is llke fiesty woman just when u had enough of her drama, she makes u come back cryin for more. Classic! Shujui Congrats on topping the Table. But i have to tell you of all the Seria A teams,AC Milan look the most threatning.
-
3-1 to Inter, you gotta love the irony of it all. They outplayed Juventus in every way possible at the delle alpi. Yo Tank, how was your eid playa? Winger Today's game should be a cracker,am hoping for a Chelsea win, cause i see them faltering later on the season rather than Manu.
-
lol, also singaPool and MalayScouse.
-
Are u asking if am a bandwagoner? If that was the case, then i would have no need to defend them so staunchly,eh! With success comes many converts, Pool and United should know alot about that since they have the Asian market on lock. Anyways i have been a fan of Arsenal since the george graham days, when we used to be known as "Boring Boring Arsenal". But it was a joy to have that chant reversed for the Houllier era in Pool, lol.
-
so i guess by the above quote that rules out: Del Peiro,Totti,Vieri,Kluivert,Raul(Spain)..etc all who went missing at crunch games either for country or club. So what if Henry went missing at the return leg of the Roma match,he torched Samuel enough in Rome to even have you backtrack your assumptions. The only thing you are right about is the fact that most of Arsenal's players are average players, with Henry and Veira being the exception. But then how does this club with a small budget and average players, manage to compete with the richest club in the world yearly for the domestic title, and also embarass the big boys of Seria A in the CL? I mean something has to give here!
-
Why Include Ronaldo? it seems that only you shujui questions the inclusion of Henry in the list. And yet you still would give the award to someone else because of your hatred towards him. When the whole world is buzzing about Henry, you stand alone to go against him. Which says quite alot about your idea of a good footballer.
-
Arsenal are not a great team, and without Henry, there are even more average. When has a player been crowned World Player of the Year without Winning shit? Well this not so great team have managed to defeat 4 out of 5 of the so called big boys of the Seria A in the last 4 years of the CL 2003-2004 agregate scores Arsenal 5-4 Inter 2002-2003 Arsenal 4-2 Roma 2001-2002 Arsenal 3-2 Juventus 2000-2001 Arsenal 3-1 Lazio Also in 1999 Rivaldo was crowned World PLayer of the year, when barcelona won only the La Liga Title. Now since when did winning the domestic championship automatically qualify you for this award? In that year it should have been one of the Manchester players to win that award with their treble and all. It is the World PLayer of the year award and not the european award,so what the player did internationally in the last year is what really counts here. Henry was the MVP of the only world tourney that happened this year, also aiding his team in automatic qualification for euro 2004.

Arsenal's lack of success in the big stage has more to do with the rest of the team, rather than one individual like Henry. What many people don't seem to understand or notice is that Arsenal's style of play could work week in week out in the PL,due to the naievty of the defence there. But in the CL a more slower game with different options should be adopted. Arsenal is a team that does not play with headers, crosses or set pieces. I always ask myself why doesn't Wenger implant this on his players, but i guess he is looking for a totally different style of play. When a team plays with much lesser options than their highley established opponents(Inter) and manage to win comfortably it says alot about their potential. Ask yourself this shujui, how does a club with the buying power of a first division club and a stadium with a mere capacity of 38,000,go toe to toe with the Manchesters,Inters and Juve's? When you answer that, you will understand the credit this club deserves.
-
Problem is Premadonnas are skillfull players with plenty of potential, but are hindered from improving or advancing because of their character. Like David Ginola or Alvaro Recoba. But when you are proven and among the nicest indivduals in the game, the word premadonna cannot be associated to you. I used to believe Becham was a premadonna, but he is proving me wrong with his consistent displays for the galacticos.
-
Sorry shujui it was the great Javier Zanetti that got left with a single step! BBC Report With Arsenal looking headed for a nervy finish Henry raced away, beat Javier Zanetti before firing past Toldo from a narrow angle.
