Serenity, nice try. Let me tell you how your demonstration (although true) is irrelevant. Atheism is a worldview. Islam is another worldview. I'm using the word "world-view" very loosely here. So, if someone who subscribes to the former ridicules the latter, the person who subscribes the latter can ridicule the former worldview, not the person. Ya, with me? Is this is your spider-house "demonstration"? Ok. Islam 101. As a Muslim, anytime someone ridicules my worldview (Allah, His Prophet, His Book, etc), the person has insulted me. But, wait a minute, you'll say, you're not the worldview, you're the person who holds that view. Duh! But that view is personal. Insulting a personal view is personal. The only time I would make allowances to that person is if the person is geniuinely illiterate and knows nothing about Islam. That's not the case here. Let me ask you a question. Say, a person insults God or His prophet, do you get offended? Which is more personal if your God was insulted or if your person was? In Islam we are taught to put Allah and His prophet above ourselves. Hence, in the case of Islam, the view is more personal than the person holding the view. Chew on that, will ya!

Socod Badne: Dude, it's pretty clear if you think about it. Other than Somaliland and Puntland, before the TFG, the rest of Somali had no regional government. Yes, the ICU came all with all their newly grown beards and freshly rolled up pants, and they formed a regional authority for the south (albiet an unfair one). Anyways, with their annihilation, much of the south became without any regional government or authority. The ppl themselves were too inept to form even a modest government for 16 friggin years. So yes, the current President along with TFG officials were more or less compelled to appoint provisional leaders for each state and region. Once each group builds its regional parliment, they will be free to choose whoever they went to run their internal affairs. The Federal government will have no say in it. As for Puntland and Somaliland, the President cannot appoint anyone. These two regions have functioning governments, with a parliment, security, and the like. To compare Puntland and Somaliland to the lawless south is really foolish. Not even the most biased partisan would make such a comparison.
