Sh. Sharif ... The First President to the White House for 40 years ???
Thankful replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in Politics
Topic: Sh. Sharif ... The First President to the White House for 40 years ??? JB, I know you won't show the source or give us a link. But where do you get 40 years from? Siad Barre met Reagan as the photo shows. When you posted this didn't you think 40 years didn't seem right? Especially when the U.S supplied Somalia during Siad's time with so much? Do you even know Somali history? -
Look at Shariff Hassan Adan in the background popping his head up trying to get into the pic. Looks for every photo opportunity to look at the camera! The man has absolutely no allegiances or integrity. It's all about satisfying his ego. He'll support whoever can give him camera exposure. I know it's off topic, but the man annoys me.

Originally posted by AfricaOwn: ^^If its already considered a tribal enclave what does "Even more of tribal state" mean? Ok like i've said numerous times. When you have the current vice pres and both opposition leaders coming from the same family, that is definitely a tribal enclave. If you take the current President (who comes from a smaller family), out and give his position two one of the oppostion leaders then it will become even more of a tribal enclave. Originally posted by Internut01: ThankfulSP, Are you saying rer Sool take hand-outs from Riyaale? No no, I am not saying reer Sool, but Habsade. If you remember Reer Sool protested on the streets when the NW Somali admin took over and also remember the current leader of NW Somalia Riyaale was chased out by Habsade once. If that's not proof his alligence can change easily I don't know what is.
-
I wouldn't know the exact amount, but Habsade don't work for free. Wasn't Riyaale kicked out of Lascaanod? He'll work for who ever pays him right! Riyaale is the man. The place is already considered a tribal enclave, and if you kick him out he'll take his group out, and then it will look like even more of a tribal state.

Because Xabsade who is the defacto ruler in LA is being paid a considerable amount by Riyaale. But when the funds aren't coming his way, he chases Riyaale out like he did years ago.

Please tell me you are not talking about war and fighting while you are in another continent. Are you speaking about arming and preparing for war knowing it will be others that suffer. Please don't say you are planning on travelling there soon to fight either. In Somalia they hate when people from abroad try and instigate war. So are you no where near NW Somalia? He said in the interview exactly "The British Foreign Minister." There's only one. So do you agree that it was a lie and that the British Foreign Minister never came to Somaliland like the Jamal A Hussein says in the video you posted??? As Anderson Cooper says, "we are keeping them honest."
-
Jamal A Hussein and Mr. Jacaylbaro have both been exposed for lying. Claiming at 3:30 of the video that the British Foreign Minister recently went to Somaliland. And JB making the same claim in this thread. For the record the British Foreign Minister has never visited Somaliland! Now JB will avoid this thread and hope the lie is forgotten.
-
I just want to know, when as Jacaylbaro alledges did the British Foreign minister go to Somaliland recently? Remember you are fasting! Lies after lies after lies
-
Originally posted by Jacaylbaro: Yes the minister was here just before that interview was done ........ you need to track the news before you jump in. So are you also lying like he is and saying that the British Foreign Minister Mr. David Miliband, was recently in Somaliland??
-
Look at the video and at 3 minutes and 30 seconds, Mr. Jamal A Hussein, says a flat out lie. He says that the "British Foreign Minister went to Somaliland recently." How can he or they expect to be taken serious with such a lie. I wonder what the British Gov't thinks if they even bother to see this. They obviously know their foreign minister never went there. I can't believe Jamal A Hussein would go on air like this and lie. I think he was high on khat or drunk maybe. What a liar. Wait Wait, let me guess he made a mistake and ment something else.

I loved bosasso, enjoyed every minute there. When I was in Dubai i'd try and find a ticket to get out, so I could spend my vacation Bosasso. Never had a boring moment in Bosasso. You'll meet Somalis from every corner, from NW to the very south, who have business and are living peacefully. You will see Arabs and East Indians and other Africans there to. The city so alive!

Unicef Second round of Child Health Days aims to boost child survival in Somalia © UNICEF Somalia/2009 A health worker fills in the registration card at the Child Health Days campaign site in Gabiley town, north-west Somalia. By Iman Morooka GABILEY, Northwest Somalia, 3 September 2009 – Building on the success of the six-month-long Child Health Days initiative that began late last year, UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO) have kicked off the second round of a campaign to reach every Somali community with a life-saving package of essential services for children and women. VIDEO: Watch now More than 50 local and international partner organizations are participating in this massive undertaking. In August, some 5,000 trained health workers launched the renewed drive in Somaliland, north-west Somalia. Mobile teams used donkeys and camels as modes of transport to remote, mountainous areas that vehicles can’t reach. Safeguarding quality care Child Health Days boost immunization rates and promote child and maternal health. The campaign in Somalia aims to raise awareness about the importance of immunization and health services for children and women, and encourage communities to take an active role in safeguarding children’s right to quality care. During the first round of Child Health Days – which ran from December 2008 to June 2009 – almost million Somali children under the age of five were immunized against polio, measles, diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus. They received vitamin A supplements and de-worming tablets, as well. Over 700,000 women of child-bearing age were immunized against neo-natal tetanus. T The Child Health Days package also includes oral rehydration salts to prevent diarrhoeal dehydration, and water-purification tablets. © UNICEF Somalia/2009 Ayan Ibrahim with her six-month-old child, who was vaccinated against polio and DPT as part of Somalia’s second round of Child Health Days; Ms. Ibrahim herself was immunized against tetanus. Lack of access to health services These essential services are crucial in a country with one of the world’s lowest routine immunization rates, where millions of children and women lack access to quality health facilities and services. “I came today to have both myself and my children vaccinated,” said Ayan Ibrahim, a mother of six. “The benefit of this campaign for us is that it comes to us, and we receive additional services that we don’t [normally] receive. It makes a difference.” At each campaign site, children’s nutritional status is screened by means of measuring their mid-upper arm circumference. Children found to be malnourished are referred to the nearest feeding programme to receive the necessary medical and nutritional treatment. Lessons learned WHO Somalia Medical Officer Dr. Abraham Mulugeta said that lessons learned during the first round of the child health campaign have “helped us in improving the planning and implementation of the second round.” Added UNICEF Somalia Health Officer Mohamed Jama: “Political and religious figures, teachers, women’s groups, parents and community-based organizations are all supporting the implementation of this activity in different forms…. This commitment is contributing to our targets – to reach all children under five in Somalia, to reduce child mortality and morbidity in the country.” The Child Health Days in Somalia are made possible by funding from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency; the US Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance; the Governments of Denmark, Japan and Norway; the UK Department for International Development; the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization; the UN Foundation; the Canadian International Development Agency; the Danish Committee for UNICEF; and the US Fund for UNICEF.

Galkacyu: Mudug admin completed , New Governor Police chief's named
Thankful replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Dr Ligle, Right now in Gaalkayo the President and Vice President are there. Usually one would stay back in Gaarowe. However the government felt they needed to relocate there. They just had a delegation from the EU arrive and held the meetings in Gaalkayo, so in my opinion it is the capital for the time being. Although I agree it is volatile, the city is firmly in Puntlands hands. That is why during the threat of the ICU days, fighters from the North and South of Gaalkayo fought together to expel them. President Faroole needs to go to places where his influence is weak. Nugaal is firmly in his control. Look how much is being done in Gaalkayo since he's been there. -

Look how things are changing around by the President and his government relocating to Gaalkayo and making it a temporary capital, things are getting done. But Mr. Che had laughed at the suggestion that Gaalkayo become the capital. Garowe is Presidnet Faroole's strong hold, his back bone. He has their support, he needs to set up in area's that need him. -
Of course, first self proclaimed democracy that doesn't hold elections! It's a new thing! So when is the elections or will you avoid the question and say it is an internal issue, because you have no clue when?

Didn't they say the election will be in September, or has it been pushed back yet. There's no way it will be in September or this year, you'll see. If Riyaale gets taken out, they'll be a lot more blue Somali flags coming out in Boorama. Which is why he is able to hang on to power.

Somaliland.org This is an internal problem, that has nothing to do with pirateland as they claim. NW Somalis are becoming fed up, and this NW SOMALI site, with video is proof. The write of this article is just trying to deflect blame somewhere else. Call it lies and fabrication but the video doesn't lie.

We have a cultural identity crisis going on. President Anwar, You are right, until we go back to our original culture, we are doomed.

I think maybe 90% of the people who talk about Puntland have never been there. I'll say this much, the second hand info you are getting from different sources is much different then what you will experience if you ever do go.

Have you ever been to Puntland?
