  1. Cowke, I am not apologizing. I think the article is garbage. It is talking about one qabiil accusing another one of oppressing them and it is threatening war! This type of mentality is what is impeding Puntland, not the PIS.The PIS is the reason why we are not like Mogadishu! We see this among many Somalis, attacking all forms of government and the security apparatus. It like they want to live in anarchy forever. There is a large segement of our population that live in the Diaspora that want Puntland to not have peace, i suspect from articles like this it is because of qabiil. They are attacking the government and now the PIS because that is what is holding the state together. Pressure Ilko-Jiir, who is your highest representive in the government and Faroole to change the PIS, but Puntlands security is the most important goal and no one is above the law.
  2. But the whole article talks about qabiil, almost every paragraph mentions the attacks on Reer Maakhir from the tribe of the PIS. Even though the second in command of the PIS is not from Bari. If they were to attack the PIS and it's leader bringing up examples, then that would be understandable. To attack the PIS and say they are being used as a tool by one tribe to dominant another is going overboard. I'll leave it at this though, I am certain that making this into a tribe thing like this article is doing is exactly what Osman Diyano wants. It gives him more support. He will turn around and say it is not me they are against, it is bigger than me. They attack anyone of us who is in charge. You'll see.
  3. Originally posted by Koora-Tuunshe: Waryee Xudeydi, warnimanka ka daa... PIS is in deep shit. If the PIS was not from one clan proprietorship, out of all Puntlanders in SOL, Cowke and Thanksp (who strictly hail from Qardho) wouldn’t get fired up. Jecliyaayeey, Jabhadu Jecliyaayee You are attacking the PIS because it's leader is from a certain clan, this article makes it quite clear because it is attacking a tribe. You can accuse me of defending it because I hail from Qardho, but I can also accuse you of attacking leader whether it be PIS or the former admin because they come from Qardho. This is a problem that goes back before Cade came to Puntland. I welcome change in leadership of the PIS, let someone from anywhere in Puntland take over. But I do not welcome your calls for having it shut down! Like i've said, if you want to attack the PIS and it's leadership do it, but dont make it into a qabiil thing.
  4. I know you are convinced that Cade was incompetent and now it's Osman Diyano who is the bad guys. But this has nothing to do with the PIS, Cade or anything else. It has to do with Qabiil, and that is perfect for Osman Diyano. Plays right into his hands, if you attack him as a person and his record that is one thing, but attacking the PIS and accusing it of being made up of one qabiil, when it's second in command is not from Bari, is rubbish! We will see the outcome of new and never ending Maakhir complaints this time.
  5. The article intends to convey a cautious message that the derived repercussions could be much more solemn than the ONLF press release. The targeted families are not Osman Diyaano’s best option of victims nor are they an alien in Bari region but are armed & alarmed natives of Bari who can quickly mobilize a militia to counter the PIS. No one is above the law and anyone that is a threat to security must be dealt with. I don't think it would be in best interests of the "armed and alarmed natives of Bari", to try and make this into a qabiil thing, like this article is doing. They can demand change in PIS leadership but they are not immune to arrest.I don't think anyone is worried about any "derived repercussions." Because threats won't get you anywhere. We founded puntland that you parade about as if its yours and yet remain critical due to the nature of our “independence” tradition. This is your problem you think you are far more important then you are. Puntland was founded by a multiple sides and not just by you! I hope that Reer Maakhir don't become president of Puntland, I have no clue who will respect their leadership after they have continuously attacked everyone else.
  6. Ok, I agree the PIS should be changed up, bring in new people from all over. The PIS is not bigger than the state by any means and this is proven by the fact that previous admin's have changed up it's leadership. So why aren't you pressuring Ilko-Jiir to speak against it? Majiyahan skirmish, the denunciation of charcoal and many more competitive confrontations that was hosted in Bari region between the opposing groups seem to be re-fueling. This article, what you just said in this thread, always always just mentioned what others have done to Maakhir. Basically that you are the victims and change is needed. You do not talk about the agression and lack of respect that the leadership of Reer Maakhir has for any authority. How President Faroole hasn't visited Laasqoray because he can't even get assurance of security. The Leadership of Maakhir chooses war before negotiation. They can't play the oppressed qabiil card whenever they break the law. I starting to believe you have an issue with Government whether it was during or before Siad Barre's time or with any of Puntland admins. I thought the problem was solved when your Diaspora made it's own state!
  7. Why is it that you guys from Maakhir only attack one person in the administration? Why aren't you guys attacking the Interior Minister Ilko-Jiir, that is what I never understand. If the admin is failing or if the PIS is the issue, why don't you force Ilko-Jiir to either voice is concerns or resign in disgust. But because he hails from your region he gets a free pass and is not critisized. The man is oversea's promoting the Puntland Government! You guys seem to always be the victims and find new things to complain about. I won't say the PIS never made any of these arrests, but Why were these homes raided? Did the PIS just decide to pick them out of nowhere and arrest the first person they saw. I am certain that you want control of the PIS so you are putting pressure on it. What you need to realize is that their are other ways of doing this, like using Ilko-Jiir to put pressure on President Faroole. Many foreign observers and independent monitor groups have reported on the threat they present and the possible clan warfare’s they are assumed to fuel. The people of Puntland should be informed of this agency and its anarchic methods that could undermine the prospect of the prosperous Bari region. Earlier this week, the Osman Diyaano agency (PIS) raided towns inhabited by a competing clan perceived as an institutional revenge Revenge for what?? What can you possibly think of that the PIS would want to seek revenge?
  8. Cowke, where have you been. The NW Somali's have been going crazy over Gaalkayo! I don't understand why it interests them so much.
  9. Wallahi you are too funny You have posted MORE then one topic about Gaalkayo's issues!! Instead of posting them in the same thread, you have made new ones. YOU DONT HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THAT. But with the Burco news you do.....that is why you are BIASED. LOOOl Get real.
  10. marka caadi iska dhiig ee buufiska iska saar. You just mention those sites which verified the issues in Burco right, WHY HAVEN'T YOU POSTED ANY TOPICS ABOUT THOSE PROBLEMS? Why are you obsessed with Puntland? If you are going to focus your time posting articles that talk about Puntland, you should do the same when it comes to your tribal enclave. Come on, talk about burco and whats going on that required a curfew. It's already been said, you are happy that others are having problems.

AUN to the dead about. Your the one with the double standard, Because when we show an article from nwsomalia.org that talks about problems in Burco, you completely dismiss it and say thay they have a hidden agenda. You want to believe all news that comes out of Puntland but you don't believe all the news coming out of NW Somalia, even from sources from within the region. You are a bias messanger! Give it up!
  12. Ducaysane_87, So now we aren't even suppose to believe nwsomalia.org right? It seems that any critical news about your region is always lying right? You want us not to believe the tribal party of kulmiye but we are suppose to believe the other one's.
  13. Ok Zack, show me a neutral site that says Puntland started this attack and that Puntland shelled Civilian area's. You and your alliance from NW Somalia want us to believe all the B.S news that you guys MAKE UP. It won't happen! You guys hate Puntland and you are not to be believed! This attacked happened a little over 24 hours ago, too early to come to any conclusions!
  14. As long as their are enemies surronding us, Puntland is unified and exists insha'Allah.

If your elders were listened to, your elections would have been held and not pushed back over and over again.
  16. North West Somalis love when their number 1 enemy Puntland has new's about security force clashes. Hope it makes you sleep good at night!
  17. It's not neutral like you tried to say. Look, both sides have their claims and we can fairly assume that the truth is somewhere in the middle. It's too early to decide who is at fault, but of course you already have.
  18. I can't find these neutral sites can you tell me? Because I have read about shelling, but no one is saying who got shelled, all we know is that both sides are fighting. Show me these sites! Both sides have long simmering anger, it's a city that is shared by two groups that have a bloody history between them, so it is inevitable that it will flare up once in a while. But for you, Puntland is always wrong!
  19. No, regardless Puntland has had issue with the NW Admin, and needs soldier in those area's including Laasqoray. There is tons of NW Somali troops in Lascaanod which forces Puntland to keep troops outside the city. You can't make up your own news, because the fighting took place on border of both sides, According to the news the spark that set the fire was after a Puntland Gov't official was murdered last night. The thing that started all this was this murder. You are in no position to call people cowards!
  20. Ok there Mr. Red Sea, that is why when Riyaale was chased out of LA, he has yet to return!! I have said it before, Puntland unlike anywhere else has enemies at both of it's borders and despite this, it is still able to defend it's land. Puntland has to divide it's forces and other resources to different fronts, back when Abdullahi Yusuf was President of Somalia, that was another front that was opened.
  21. That's President Faroole!
  22. However, some E100-200M is needed to bring the road connecting the port with the Ethiopian border up to a reasonable standard. BAL has plenty of experience operating ports with poor inland connectivity, so is confident that port operations could begin first, to "kick start" things. The problem is raising finance for both the port and the road link, since Somaliland is not recognised internationally, so major development agencies such as the World Bank cannot be asked for help. "We have been working on this for around 18 months and we are starting to get international support, but it's certainly a very difficult project," said Lafont. "In due time Eritrea may open itself to the world and that would provide Ethiopia with an outlet at Asmara , but that is not a problem for us. A country the size of Ethiopia easily justifies three sea ports." I just don't see them putting this much effort into something that will cost so much. If NW Somalia's admin had the slightest amount of political skills, they'd be able to demand recognition from atleast one country for this deal. I think this news should be put with the other bogus news, because this seems to be the crap like the whole hydrocarbon blocks that President Riyaale supposedly had offered for sale before. What ever happened to that?
  23. Good old Somali "Kaftan" right!! Suuuuure!
  24. And 2009 saw no Recognition for NW Somalia, Just like 2008,2007,2006,2005......and the rest of the last two decades. 2009, also saw Riyaale stay in power long after his term expired and no elections.
