Che, he is making toursim seem so easy and that Somalia being one of the poorest countries in the world, has the infastructure to entice tourist to make the trip there. But because there is a beach they will come. All I am saying is that there are a lot of political and social issues that need to be addressed first, and even thinking of tourism at this stage is absurd!

I don't know what you are getting at! Anyways, all of Somalia is suffering from this drug issue. I've been to many parts and saw this first hand. I honestly think that it is one of the biggest things holding back our development, because it take up so much of the day! Tourism is out of the question until it is addressed!

People will not going to a place where the majority of the adult population suffer from a severe drug problem!

Africanown, we are all the same people! Duke, I am just surprised that their is little response from the government. Garoweonline just spoke about what took place, but nothing about the governments position. President Faroole is in Turkey but doesn't realize that area's loyal to him are under attack or that the capital is under threat. It's unbelievable that the vice-president has come out and said anything!!! The problem is that the Puntland media is not doing it's job and questioning the government and putting pressure on them!

Turkey is more important than the deaths of mostly civilians yesterday? I am not calling for conflict, but atleast an official government statement from the President or Vice President or even better a press conference!

Who-me, there was armed conflict yesterday in an area loyal to Puntland, yet the vice-president or president made no official statement. They are completely ignoring it! If you don't care about Sool, atleast think how close the conflict is to Garowe, which could be the next battle ground. I am not saying they should start fighting, but atleast hold a press conference stating their position on the issue! Yet, instead they are talking about a meeting in Turkey about Piracy!

I saw these articles, but I am expecting something a lot more official, not statements on websites and what not. This is a very serious matter! A press conference like this one!!
