Che, LoooooooooooooL, Haaji you've been busted again!
-
Cowke, isn't it funny that their supposed regional flag looks more similar to the Somalia one, then their enclaves? Tell me what that says? Xaaji, no matter what, they are not carrying the triangles flag and have left their own! Which says a lot!

Xaaji, stop hiding all the pics I went on the same site you did and saw that you left out some that showed people carrying another flag. Don't be so sneaky Here are the rest....I don't see any of the Triangle NW Somalia flags! They made it clear, they dont accept this nonesense. There is something that looks like the Blue Flag in this pic

Originally posted by Nassir: ^Thankful, your leader is a crook and sociopath. A former corrupt official and alleged "pirate chief" according to the UN Monitoring Group. His arrogance has no limits. You can not cover the stench of Farole's coward appeal and divisive tactics on BBC radio. At least his predecessors of the clan had wielded an illusion of invincibility and they enjoyed showing it to the peaceful clans of the South. Despite Farole's shabby and vulgar terms at the media against the region, Mr. Atam denied to be a member of al-Shabaab. He said that he and his militia are from Galgala with grievances against both PL and PIS. He also said that it was his region that Puntland attacked and all he did was defend his land and people. And he vowed to defend himself should PL mount another round of attacks. He is orator and appears to be very confident with his defiant position against PL's authority. His main goal is to fight--and perhaps reverse--the long injustices perpetuated by PL's security sector in Bosasso and environs where his clan call home and form majority. Nassir, What are you talking about being objective, he said "we are Al Shabaab and Al Shabaab is us." It wasn't a written interview, but it came out of his own mouth. Believe me, I can't wait until Faroole is out! But right now, he has been given another life line by defeating Atam and sending him back to the mountains. The walls were closing in on him with all the deportations of southerners, but Atam's interview justified it all. Also, it's funny that you will use the UN Monitoring groups report, but when it came out you completely disregarded it and called it corrupt. But most funny is that same report found both Ilka-Jiir and Atam responsible for criminal activity. But you would probably ignore that part, right? I truly have no idea why you would possibly use that UN report to attack Faroole knowing that it condemns both men (ilka-jiir and Atam) harshly, it's absolutely mind boggling! You are shooting yourself in the foot by trying to attack Faroole with that report, because it attacks the people from your region that you support! But yeah! Please, stop defending him and saying that he is not Al Shabaab because he is trying to back track. He already said it, and the interview is there for everyone to hear! He can come out with 1000 interviews saying he is not, that one interview sealed the deal!
-
VOA, it's as if you want people to forget about the Paltalk interview, where he said he was Al Shabaab! Sometimes I wonder if you are serious or not Nassir, Atam has justified all actions taken against him since he admitted he was Al Shabaab, he can go on VOA or any other news outlet and try and back track. But it is to late! No do what you said you would, and support Puntland!
-
NGONGE, You make some valid points, personally I dont agree with you. When he said that "we are shabaab and shabaab is us", it was very clear his meaning. At the very least it is understandable why the Puntland government is taking the actions that they are against him. Whether he meant something else, no government or it's security force can risk giving him the benefit of the doubt. Al Shabaab policies are unacceptable. Also, I said this several times. The reason why this new interview is different, is because he knows that the last one hurt his cause. By losing supporters and giving Faroole more allies. People went out to protect him and his movement and said he was not Al Shabaab, and then he betrayed them by this interview. No matter what he says now and tries to distance himself from them, that interview will haunt him! Xudeedi, If you see my other posts I know it was on Pal Talk, but the site that I got it from is Horseednet. But it's irrelevant who did the interview, he said he was Al Shabaab.
-
Here are two interview, the one on Horseednet was done on July 27, where Atam admits to being aligned with the criminal organization Al Shabaab. The next interview was done today, where he completely contradicts himself. You can see that the two voices are the same! The interview really hurt his movements and as I said, justified Faroole's actions. Those in the TFG and even here on SOL that defended him and said he was not with Al Shabaab were humiliated when he admitted it, he obviously knows it was wrong to expose his allies in this battle. Regardless, this VOA interview makes it clear that the Horseednet interview was 100% Attam. I have no clue how he thinks people will just forget about the horseednet interview. Atam - Horseednet Atam - VOA

Nassir, no matter what you will defend him tooth and nail. The Pal talk interview was devastanting for their cause. They lost so much support, that is why they are trying to back track. It's called damage control. He admitted it, and justified President Faroole's actions. The TFG parliamentarians that were against Puntlands actions, had to eat their words after Atam admitted it. Now he and his Al Shabaab colleagues are trying to distance themselves because their plans in our regions have been exposed! You said that if their is proof he is associated with Al Shabaab, you would support the Puntland gov't, well he admitted it with his own words!
-
Come on Haatu, Mr. Atam makes it clear he is allied with Al Shabaab, yet they neglect to condemn him. Instead they set their sights on the Puntland government. It's one thing if they write reports that sometimes both sides don't agree with. But it's another thing when they only write reports in favor of one area of Somalia! Their true colors were revealed when Atam aligned himself with Al Shabaab and they refused to condemn him! Even Nassir said if that happened he'd be supporting Puntland, but he never came through with that pledge.

And why would anyone belief you when you all of a sudden say, this time we are fighting for a common cause? Maybe Ilkajiir will belief you, but nobody else will. It's us the government against Atam and his supporters, remember Ilka-Jiir who hails from that region is on the same team as the government. I think what people don't understand here is that right now, Faroole is receiving huge international and domestic praise for what he did. He is the most powerful he has ever been after the defeat he inflicted on Mr. Atam killing and capturing his people. You have seen my posts on Faroole, I am not a fan. I have criticized him a lot and have said he should be investigated for piracy. Yet, the truth remains that he is right now riding a wave of support from many places. That is why he got rid of the parliamentarians, because he knows he is in politically powerful and is taking advantage of it. In just a matter of a couple days he went from being condemned for kicking out internally displaced people to making headlines for taking on a muderous group and winning. Atam made a mistake by attacking, because he showed the world what the Puntland government is facing and in a sense justified the actions of sending back those suspected of terrorism. Faroole looks stronger and more politically skilled then he has ever looked after this batttle, because it took a lot of pressure off of him. So those like Xudeedi and others who think Faroole is scared, have no clue what is going on. He now seen in many ways as more powerful after capturing and killing Atam's men!
-
Faroole just got rid of 3 parliamentarians who he felt were part of the SSC. He couldn't careless what happened in Bari the other day. He seems to have little worry about Atam and his men, i'm thinking that outcome of the battle must have raised his confidence or why else would he be focusing on other things like changing up the government. I'm certain if the battle went badly, he would be busy with it, but because Atam was crushed, Faroole is back to running to government normally.
-
Burn notice you are absolutely right, the same group that are complaining about Faroole, were doing the same thing about the pervious admin. They (the diaspora) supported a man from their region who came in second place and ultimately became a minister in Faroole's government. If anyone from their region whether they are a criminal or not is apprehended, they will cry that they are being persecuted for clan reasons. Even if this person goes on radio and admits to having illegal intentions, they will not say a word. As well they are bashing Faroole's admin, but they avoid any critique of any of his ministers that come from their region. But Faroole doesn't seem to be concerned at all; he just sacked a bunch of parliamentarians and is going on with his business as usual. The people protesting western Bari and Eastern Sanaag are the Diaspora, run by mouth pieces like Somali Public Radio. The people living their like all Somalis back home, only want peace. Some seem to have a desire to take over the commerical capital, but after the last skirmish and captured and dead they suffered, they wont think about it.

Atam admits his alligence to Al-Shaabab in an audio interview, and now this article is trying to repair the damage that his interview did. They know after his declaration more aide will be send to Puntland to stop this expansion. They definitely weren't happy with him blowing his cover. The man admited it on an audio tape, all the articles and Shabaab spokesmen will never change that fact.
-
Summary of his words??? He spoke for a while, a lot longer then that summary, which leaves out his most incriminating words. How about Atam comes down from the mountains if he has no criminal intentions.
-
Looooooool, young men and little boys protesting. I'm sure those guys are furious with the political situation! Sure!! Maybe I should say that this isn't Dhahar, like you guys deny that it is Mr. Atam's voice! We know how much stake Reer Maakhir has in Bosasso and the surrounding area's, but you dont see them coming to defend the criminal Atam, I think it is only some of us in the West that like to stir the pot. The man admitted to supporting Al Shabaab, the case is now over! Does SPR have Mr. Atam's interview on paltalk, or atleast address it, dont you think if they were neutral they would verify it or discredit the interview? I'm pretty sure it is pretty damning evidence which makes the conflict look bad for those that support him! Anyways, I avoided SPR after seeing their bias news, but i'll look at them better next time.
-
It's sad that Somali Public Radio would be so bias and continuously write articles and news that favors only the owners family interest. I expect Garoweonline to talk about Garowe interests, or even AllPuntland to talk about Puntland interests. But I would expect Somali Public radio to be neutral and talk fairly about all of Somalia's interests. Of course they have no pics of these allege protests because their biggest politician who has their support (Ilka-Jiir) is on the governments side. It's sad SPR has become such a poor news outlet!

Puntland; the case of Mid-Term Aboriginal rights and a goatee
Thankful replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
The house that was attacked back in 2008 had those responsible for kidnapping foreigners in it. They have even tried to hijack planes and land them in Laasqoray last year. These are guys that take orders from Mr. Atam, who is a man that has made it official that he is on the side of Al Shabaab and wants to overthrow to Puntland government. They choose to arm themselves and hide in the mountains, they thought they could come down and capture territory, but were quickly sent running back, either captured or killed. Even regular army's have a great deal of trouble attacking people hold up mountains, so we know Puntland did go there first! Regardless, Mr. Atam is responsible for the death and destruction that has occurred he wants to use armed men to promote Al Shabaab. -
Originally posted by Nassir: Thankful, Paltalk is not a good source, but let's wait the coming days. One thing that should give all of us a grasp of the situation is that the man has been in Galgala since 2005, and he has not imposed any of the harsh So are you saying now that this was not his voice, don't be ridiculous like Paragon and others who are trying to say the voice was not his. It's funny that you said he was in Gagala since 2005, which is the same year that the ICU took over Mogadishu and much of the south. And then they broke off into different groups, 2005 was an important year for these so called Sheiks. But whether he has enforced strict laws or not, if you agree that is his voice and he is aligning himself with Al-Shabaab then he can not be allowed to amass fighters in the mountains. So, do you believe that is him or not?
-
What do you mean, they said he is? The man himself said he is. The fact he is living in the mountains made it obvious he must be up to something, he verfiied yesterday. That is why the Guddomiyaha must be embarrassed after Mr. Atam did that interview!
-
I wonder why Nassir refuses to respond?? Atam has made it clear who he aligns himself with.
-
Nassir, You said this yesterday, so now that Mr.Atam has made it clear his motive, will you now support the Puntland government. Or not honor what you said? Nassir Che, we do not have evidence the clan militia in Galgala has links to al-Shabab. If there's a proof to corroborate the alleged charges, I'll be the first to support the de facto State. This is nothing but a clan and resource driven motivation by a "president" who is unfamiliar with the terrain of clan politics in the region. And he is desperately rallying his clan as aired by Universal TV and the tendentious VOA to join his war, one that is based on an ill-designed strategy and that is perfectly aligned with the Uganda incident in which 74 innocents were indiscriminately murdered by al-Shabaab. Mr. Atam's interview
-
Now, I want you to remember Nassir said that once Atam admitted he was part of Al Shabaab he would support the Puntland government. Lets wait and see if he will, I highly doubt it, he will never say a negative thing about someone from his region.

The Big Day for Somaliland: The Inaguration of the New President + Pics

(Reporting by Hussein Ali Noor; editing by Richard Lough) The world is realizing what it all is, the dominant clan taking over of a smaller one. Where the elections were rigged in such a way to ensure this! I am not sure how this is really impressive, all I see is this marking the return of the dominant group. It's quite sad so many where banned from running for top office and only one group was able to be opposition. -
He or others like Xudeedi will never believe any solid evidence against those that hail from their region. Watch when Mr. Atam comes out and pledges alligence to Al Shabaab, you will see them still defend him. Just like they refuse to say anything negative about Ilka-Jiir who is from his region. They never criticize a single person from their region.
