Not only this but there are so many social problems a country has to deal with. On a serious note? It should have been serious from the beginning. It's not a laughing matter.
  2. I know JB this is your defense mechanism, you want to minimize articles like this my making comments that make no sense. Do you agree with this or not? Or will you just make a nonesense comment and end it with a smily face? Women have paid a high price in recent civil conflicts, which have been characterised by numerous cases of rape. Moreover, women living in camps for displaced persons continue to be particularly vulnerable to sexual violence. There has been a recorded increase in the number of gang rapes in the autonomous region Somaliland, primarily in poor neighbourhoods and among immigrant populations.

Lol, so I guess we should just break away and claim we are a country despite the fact that not a single other country will recognize us. That way we will no longer be part of that failed state right? Something that isn't even a state is calling others a failed state! Always remember. the foreign land you are in accepted you because you were from the worlds most failed state! What does yours or your parents passports say in the place of birth section.
  5. I appears that all regions of Somalia are guilty of this. http://somalilandpress.com/government-arrest-three-men-for-printing-forged-somalia-passport-22991 Government Arrest Three Men for Printing Forged Somalia Passport Comments (37) HARGEISA (SomalilandPress) — Somaliland officials have broken up a forged Somalia passport ring that was based in Hargeisa. According to General Abdirahman Libaan Ahmed of the Somaliland Police three suspects; Sheikh Almis Yahye, Sheikh Mohamed Omar Samatar and Khadar Abdi Ismail have been arrested and taken into custody at the Criminal Investigation Division Headquarter. One of the suspects is a well known in Somaliland as he happens to be the Dean of International Horn University (IHU) based in Hargeisa and a well respected businessman. If the Dean of IHU is found guilty this will be a very serious blow to the University which currently offers a range of highly reputable courses including a number awarded by the UK based Association of Business Executives (ABE). It looks likely that the three suspects are to be charged with possession and distribution of Somali passport which is prohibited in Somaliland. Anyone that is caught printing illegal Somali passports is liable to be charged with a treasonable offence. At the time of their arrest the suspects were found to be in possession of the following items: a computer, a digital camera, finger printing equipment, application request forms, and four forged Somali passports. When General Abdirahman Liban was asked if the rumour that has been circulating in the capital that Somaliland government has signed an agreement to have Somalia’s TFG passport printed and distributed in Hargeisa was true, the general replied with a firm ‘ NO’. Somaliland has its own passport and currency.

  7. Starting a thread like this is just a ploy to try and divert attention from the instability in Erigavo, issues with the SSC and other area's in NW Somalia. Using the war crimes excuse for the past 20 years to gain recognition has failed because it is quite clear that no region would name a dictators former intelligence chief as leader of the enclave. The facts won't be hidden by bringing up incidents that people from all over Somalia suffered from. Since Siilaanyo came to power people are standing up against him.
  8. Beesha Koonfurta Ceerigaabo oo Iclaamisay nabadgelyo iyo kulan ay yeesheen weftigii Xukuumadda Both sides will spin this story in a way that favors their agenda. Secessionists will no doubt try and sweep it under the carpet and claim that peace has already been achieved. But one thing is clear, South Ceergaabo has issue's with security. Which in turn dispels the notion that NW Somalia is an oasis of so called peace or immune to the problems facing other area's of Somalia. Who can actually say that these so-called security forces do not resemble a militia? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=zMm_YcMLaQs#!" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen> The TFG looks more professional.
  9. A classic reason why NW Somalia is unable to attain any recognition. It appears the world is quite aware of who dominates NW Somalia's regional government and that tension is growing because of the unjust system. All these issue's seem to be coming out since Siilaanyo came to office!

Xaaji Xunjuf;756313 wrote: i have never seen people running around with the Somalia flag in borama before the elections can you show us i don't deal with speculations and maybe's only with facts. Sure I can show you! Remember this thread was started on July 12, 2009 which was during the years when Riyaale was pushing back the so-called (s)elections. Furthermore, less then a year later he would lose to Siilaanyo. Isn't it strange that we never saw the Blue flag during the beginning of his term or when he was vice president? It only came out when his term was being extended. http://www.somaliaonline.com/community/showthread.php/40975-Is-this-really-Boorama
  11. Of course Xaaji it was just a coincidence that people were running around Borama with Somalia's flag right before election time right? So it was not planned or politically motivated to send a message? We know exactly who orchestrated it. Come on.
  12. Riyaale pushed back the so-called elections a couple of years and blackmailed NW Somalia regional government with the threat of Awdal breaking away. Unlike the other leaders, for the most part they left on time. Your so called elections didn't include anyone from Sool or Sanaag and some how had more candidates from the dominate family. Regarding Somalia, some of the leaders that were mentioned are still in Somalia. They just lay low out of respect for the current government. Even look at former leaders like Bush, Gordon Brown any many others. http://horseedmedia.net/2011/10/31/qardho-waxgaradka-beelaha-cismaan-maxamuud-iyo-cali-jibraahiil-oo-kulmay/ .
  13. The Turkish PM clearly stated he would open an Embassy in Mogadishu, the article even refers to it as one. However JB is in such denial and shock that he can't admit the truth. The secessionists must be quite upset right now. Turkey will establish an embassy in Somalia, Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday during a visit to Mogadishu to draw international attention to the famine sweeping across the Horn of Africa nation.

So what are you on about? He airs his opinion and we are airing ours! The relationship with Turkey, embassies, schools, PM's visit. This is absolutely terrifying for secessionists!
  15. So I guess we need to reject all international help and close down all the Turkish hospitals and schools. The Turkish PM went in front of the UN and spoke at length about Somalia! That alone will never be forgotten! Secessionist are just angry that theTurkish PM visited Somalia and that they will be building an embassy in Mogadishu. Which gives the TFG international legitimacy. While the Hargeysa admin is completely unable to have even a single country recognize them or have a head of state visit.
  16. Does any see what I am talking about? The thing that makes secessionsts the most concerned and even angry is hearing about development and positive news. Mintid Farayar rarely posts, but once it's something positive that will benefit people of Somalia, he has so much to say by way of bashing Turkey. Secessionists base their whole agenda on claiming Somalia is lawless, thus news likes this doesn't help them.
  17. Well put! Blaming a "southerner" for killing innocent people in Burco. What about the "northerners" killings thousands in the south.

Xaaji Xunjuf;754497 wrote: This kind of Behavior is generally accepted as Normal in the Garowe Clan enclave Mad man Chasing people with Machetes that's why Thankful is saying the man was not mentally disturbed. Yeah right a mad southerner right? Let just avoid the facts, which clearly show that Burco has had a rash of people killing one another with machetes in the last few months. I have shown you articles that prove this. Also, the title of this article seem's to be very politicized and insulting! Southerner attack innocent people in the triangle? Give me a break! Sadly this is an ongoing issue in the town.
  19. This is an on-going tribal issue that has been going on for some time. It is not a random act of a so-called mad southerner. Regardless of how the police or the regional government want to spin it, so the enclave is always seen in a peaceful light. LOOOOOL :D......the secessionists are making more noise than Al Shabaab supporters! I wonder why? Is it because some of Al Shabaabs key leadership hails from the region? Or because the TFG is controlling more and more ground?
  22. Yunis again, I need to refer you to Mogadishu as an example. The TFG and citizens of the city have backed and fought along side the AU forces to expel Al Shabaab from the city. The "dying cult" had the south firmly in their control. The TFG or the local population do not have the power to take them on. If they were against the operation we would be seeing protest! I believe they welcome it and like Mogadishu these cities will be in control of the TFG!
  23. But seriously, I truly truly believe that these articles are not written by these individuals. They are so absurd and unbelievable that it must be an individual(s) pretending to be someone else. There is no doubt in my mind this person name was just placed in this article without his knowledge. Just read the points and you'll know it is a fraud! Shame on you JB for posting any garbage you find.
