  1. those who collaborate with historical enemy of Somalis Haha, it's so funny how now they are such bad enemies. They sure weren't "historical enemies" back in the late 80s and early 90s when all the oppostion groups in Somalia used them help over throw Afweyne. If they were such enemies you would never ever have used them in any way shape or form to assist you in fighting Siad!! Isn't using their intelligence, weapons and training a form of collaboration?
  2. Well atleast President Yusuf made a diverse government. He was the one that was surrounded first in Baidao and the courts sending forces to the outskirts of Gaalkayo. His government is more inclusive then those in somaliland! How many residents of lascaanod hold high positions in their government? Mogadishu has been like this since the government fell, they only have themselves to blame.
  3. Duke excellent article. When we showed pictures of the riots they questioned when it was taken, now they can't say a word, and their pathetic posts prove it. Puntlanders are far too intelligent to launch war against another area, which would harm the civilian’s population, resulting in them to turn against us. There incursion into lascaanod and coming so close to Garowe have united the people of Puntland behind their leader and his administration!
  4. Geedi is going to offical resign and accept residences in the U.S where his son is studying. No corruption charges or any other legal action taken against him. Gets to keep whatever he saved up!
  5. Yeah I bet those guys in Eritrea are thinking of ways to bring better health care, clean water and education to Somalia right? Their sole purpose is to destroy the TFG for their own tribal reasons. All they know is war and that's why the second they came to power they wanted to take over the whole country, making sure their leadership was made up of people only from their region, sending young students to the front lines and fleeing the second Mogadishu was in danger. They know the best way to strike at the TFG is to bring down Puntland! You better believe Somaliland knows this as well and has unsuccessfully tried to help any group that wants to fight Puntland, just like they gave weapons and aid to President Cade Muse when he was fighting then Puntland President Abdullahi Yusuf. You can bet the two sides are now helping each other in attempting to bring down Puntland. Everyone on the ground there definitely do and won't allow that to happen.
  6. Wow, they are just on cloud 9 right now. I mean they finally have something to cheer about. General just let them live the moment, they are few and far between. They speak of our leader, but lets look at theirs, last time he was in Laascaano he wasn't even able to stay half a day. He was chased out with bullets and in total fear, never to return again. To bad no photos were taken of that. I guess that's the type of people they elect and follow!!!
  7. People now have no choice but to put their differences aside!!!!! It seems this is an example of war uniting the people.
  8. Wafdi uu hoggaaminayo Madaxweynaha Puntland Md.Maxamuud Muuse Xirsi oo uu weheliyo Madaxweyne ku xigeenka Puntland Md. Xasan Daahir Maxamuud ayaa kormeer hawleed ku soo maray degaamada gobolka Sool qaarkood.
  9. when was this ??? ,, last year ?? HAHAHAHAH, lol. Funniest comment I heard in a very very long time. What you think Somaliland has any credibility, didn't they claim to have taken the city a few weeks ago, wasn't it proven a lie? Where are the Somaliland flags flying in the city? Where are the ministers arriving for photo op's? This is a fight among the inhabitants of the city, that's it that's all. I heard Somaliland sent a delegation to the city but where turned away. Just wait and see what happens, the problem is this, the people of Sool know exactly how much they make up of Somalilands Gov't, they'll never accept this. Tomorrow Puntland's president will be going to the front lines. Usually when Someone is liberated they hoist their flag for all to see. Great Pics!!!!!!!!
  10. Isn't that the kettle calling the pot black? Let me guess you're demands to get Shabeelle back on the air (and anything pro "southerners" i.e clan courts) is because of it's journalism? All I see on SOL is every single person defending his or her own. Name me one person that praises a different side accomplishment. Atheer I know where you hail from and whom you support from your posts! Also I find it pointless to defend anymore, too much hate!! I find there's less hate in Somalia when I was there then with people in the West!
  11. that is not the interest of Somalia and he is unknowingly leading Somalis to death and destruction Where the heck have you been the last 16 years????
  12. you would of have known by now that it was a tribal skirmishes between the clans of Makhir State on one hand, and that of Puntland's militia. Oodwayne It's interesting how people try and change such recent history. So may I ask you, wasn't it Somaliland gov't officials who went to Dhahar with a delegation? What about the military commander who was demoted upon his arrival in Hargeysa for fleeing from the battle and who in return stated with his own mouth that "the fighters in our uniforms that we were paying left us and started fighting for the other side?" Why did he lose his job? Come on now stop with the lies.
  13. Counter the aggressors? Wow, that was interesting! Don't act like there is animosity between Puntland and the newly formed Makhirland? The two sides are brothers and will always remain that way, regardless of the past, nothing can change it. May I remind you that it was Somalilands own military official in charge of the Dhahar battle that said our own forces who were wearing our uniforms and taking our salary, abandoned us and started fighting for the other side. This is proof of the brotherhood both sides share and their resistance to secessionists, it's a loyalty that money can't buy. This took place after the disagreement of the resources issues, if there was anger over it, why would they fight with Puntland? That battle proved who is seen as the invaders. At least you are slowly admitting that Somaliland doesn’t control all of Sanaag, hopefully you will influence your so-called government to do the same. Because I can't find a Somaliland map on any of your sites that doesn't claim the whole region as theirs.
  14. Only in Puntland can people be protesting with smiles and laughs. It's sad though the people that organized this (same people that tried to take over the parliament) hide behind women, children and old men. Is it me or am I seeing freedom of speech emerging in Puntland? I mean public criticism? Masha'Allah.
  15. Jacaylbaro, humiliated ex-Puntland minister Faroole sons made Garoweonline, so they have there own agenda. With regards to the writer of this article, I say think of Al Gore's son writing an article attacking the current U.S admin, would anyone take him serious? What would their responses be? His son wouldn’t be uneducated enough to even bother, but not in Somali politics! No wonder his father is no longer president and lost a fair election to a man that came to Puntland only a few years earlier, but I guess whatever you see, as negative towards Puntland is good for you. Everyone knows what happened when Somaliland tried to bring a delegation so close to Puntland and what they did to that military commander after the humiliation, a very long, long list of humiliations.
  16. The photographer purposely shows the crowd at ground level, if he showed the entire group from a higher point i.e.-aerial shot, it would be embarrassing to the organizers. You can clearly see what the cameraman is doing and that the crowd is in no way "Big". Considering how many Somali's live in the London area, that demonstrations turn out probably didn't even turn a single head. They understand the tribal situation in Somalia very well. Next time they should go big or go home.
  17. Siad Barre focused on building Xamar and Hargeysa during his reign; Hargeysa was the second capital and towns like Berbera had a Russian built port and government buildings, If people in Puntland wanted to, they could have over thrown this admin a long time ago. They know that there was little emphasis by Siad regime to build Puntland, compared to Xamar and Hargeysa; if you go to Puntland you'll see very few buildings built by Siad's regime, which is the complete opposite of Hargeysa. Under this current admin a costly and time-consuming Airport and runway is being built with it's own funds (Hargeysa had both built by Siad), the port is being renovated with an official building (Siad built this for them as well). Official Gov't website (although not grand in scale, I hear the daily number of hits has sky rocketed). Informing a large number of the Diaspora community of what’s going on in terms of foreign investment. Puntland's military is stronger then every, this is evident by the land they protect from the secessionists. The bottom line is that puntland has only existed for less then a decade and the population there know very well that this admin in such a short time has built things they have never seen before and that's why you don't hear of large scale internal conflicts taking place. Also, I heard the group that took over bargaal have fled quickly to the mountains.
  18. Feel free to post what you want, but my advice is that you should try and back up the posts with intellectual comments or rebuttals. Rather then using farooleonline as a source. The owners of Garoweonline are the sons of the ousted minister Faroole. Simply call anyone you want in those area's and you'll see there is absolutely nothing going on over there. Sites like these take advantage of the fact that there is no international media coverage that could prove their claims wrong. Do you notice how this site and many other less reliable ones never have any pictures or rarely give's the writers name? I'll tell you why, it's because the people writing it are a bunch of guys (disgraced ministers son's) in Australia high on khat writing whatever they feel, always claiming they got their information from "reliable sources." I know these sites are benefiting your northwestern clannish state objectives by labeling everywhere in Somalia as dangerous. I have been to Puntland recently and met foreigners that had just got back from Somaliland. I admit they said it was more developed, but they couldn't believe when they were taken on a tour through the different cities and had requested their guides to take them to certain towns, they were told those places are off limits and we can't take you. They told me they couldn't believe the map of the so-called nation said one thing but the reality on the ground said another. Yet on the Puntland side they were able to go to many of those same places peacefully. That right there is why recognition is so hard to come by!
  19. Emperor brother, in Puntland it is 4 years. I will direct you to the Official Puntland Gov't website Puntland Web The President is elected by the House of Representatives; the term of office for the President is four (4) years. He is eligible for re-election at the end of his term for another 3 years. Hope everything is cleared up. As for everyone else's opinion on how things are going within the state.... Opinion's are like a-holes, everyone has one and some are bigger then others.
  20. President Cade was elected in January of 2005. There for his term expires in January 2009. Do the math, 4 years. Goes to show how much you know, can't even remember when the man was chosen.
  21. Masha'Allah! I guarantee you the anti-government supporters (who throughout history hate to be governed) will stay away from this thread.
  22. Mj. bada Cas shame on you!!! The battle took place less then 24 hours ago, conflicting reports are reported in every media outlet in the world. Look at the presidential elections of 2000 in America. Propaganda is used everywhere! it's normal, both sides will make different claims. But to make a comment like no wonder we as people are the lowest of all humans. Is disgusting and I can tell you've been abroad for too long, you are falling into the "self-hating" trap that is common in the west and has been used to empower one group and oppress others. If the people you are around are not respectable, don't label everyone as such.
  23. A.J. Timacadeh, the inferiority of Somaliland was shown the day Riyaale was chased out of Lascaanod and did absolutely nothing in defense. The inhabitants of these area's will never fight to the death for you, they'll only collect a pay check and scram.
  24. General, I actually witnessed him come to many of those cities with my own eyes. I can't even put in words how many jubilant people there were. I never saw anything like that in my life. I mean maybe on television for music stars or athletes. Growing up abroad you hear a lot of crap about certain people, but when you go there and see things like that, you realize how little people outside of Somalia know about the situation. I even have some pics of other celebrations on my camera.
