  2. Not as funny as a tribal enclave named Somali Land  appointing a leader who was part of the same regime and under a dictator that they claim committed war crimes against them. Most new goverments try and keep all former regime officials away from joining, in somali land they make him president. In the last years of the Barré government, Kahin held the rank of Sergeant in the National Security Service,[1] and served as the NSS station chief in Berbera. During this time the NSS has been identified by many sources (U.S. Department of State, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Africa watch) as having been involved in torture and extrajudicial killings of civilians on a massive scale, particularly during the war in Northern Somalia from May 1988 through the end of 1989.
  3. These people were wounded in a car accident.
  4. I have an idea for SOL, this is slowly not becoming a political section but more of a gossip/tabloid one. Why don't we make another group or sub-section under politics where these kinds of childish posting can be discuss by people who enjoy it. I think this is a good idea. To many people don't want to research and back up their articles with facts......well atleast it's a though.
  5. I highly doubt the taxes are for every single person, there's just a great deal of people mostly ones that came from abroad that have been making a fortune in Somalia and given nothing back, I think it's those that will be targeted. Elections are important and will hopefully come soon enough.
  6. In regards to the TFG having more recognition then any other government pre civil war...Please state a fact not a dream since you obviously seem to forget about Siad. I said "PRE" civil war, every government that tried to form after Siad, of course I won't compare it to his, well not yet atleast. I am not sure the number but I think maybe over a dozen people tried to form governments and none has been as successful as this one. Look at the pics, they dont lie! These aren't some articles written by some people living in the west, this is what is going on in Xamar right now. I agree with you there are some that will never accept an all inclusive government in Xamar regardless who's running it.
  7. isnt even recognized I think you are mistaking them for another so called make believe government in the region. The TFG has quite a bit of recognition more so then any other government pre civil war. Enough so that the UN dropped the arms embargo to allow AU troops to enter.
  8. Peace Action, of course they do....first it was the women they brough forward that was supposedly raped, then it was the ethiopian soldiers desacrating the Masjid and now it's this story. I can't wait until the next one!
