I guess everyone ignored this yesterday because it's your typical "I have love for my side only nonesense." So you decided to bring it back up by quoting the conclusion a day later. A slice of advice....you got to give respect to get respect

Toure, First come on can someone actually know what tribe the people sitting in the audience are? Is it written on their forheads? Say what you want about the TFG but you cannot call it a tribe. It is made of of all of them!! It was even more diverse then the ICU(leadership), tell me how that is possible? Sheikh Sharif seems like an honorable man but I never saw him sharing power with Somalis from other regions, it's as if those in the South have come to the decision a long time ago that they will never allow certain Somalis into politics. I'm not saying those that are only in the South, but Somalis everywhere. Somaliland took it one step forward and had their family break away and try and form a country by taking a bunch of smaller ones with them. When he won in Nairobi people already said they'll never recognize him or his government, but what they don't understand is that President Abdullahi Yusuf won't be in power forever. Eventually they'll be someone from another region. It's a never ending cycle.

They are from a single clan in their majority. Ther are no other somalis with decency in this shameful gathering. What's that say about our people, regardless of what side they are on? Our people will always support the person that is their reer, but what I dont get is that eventually they will get the top job and maybe it'll be their precious Sheik Sharif that is named president. But because they refused to recognize this pres and government way way before Ethiopians came, I'm talking about from day one when he was still in nairobi, I guess people won't support there's. It's a never ending cycle. Even the so called Islamic Courts was a qabiil and refused to share leadership. Regardless of how others think. I'll support Sheik Sharif as long as he sits with people from everywhere.

Great Pics, the diaspora are a huge part of Somalia especially the TFG. It's nice to see our president meeting with his people. It's sad that these kinds of threads generate no response by those that love to dwell on every bit of negative news. Our people that have been doing so since the 1960s. Anyways, great pics. Nice to see so many blue flags!!!!!! Hope he makes more tours.

You're right Peace Action and it's possible! These guys are really organized and there are many people involved in these kidnappings/hijackings. As sad as it sounds, I hear that even when Puntland officials spoke to elders and ask them to assist in convincing these criminals to release these people, they sided with the kidnappers. There's huge money involved in this business and it poisons a lot of people (2 million for this boat alone). Still I don’t get how they can kidnap nurses that were caring for orphans. I'm sure many of the pirates and others involved got away. Puntland has such a long coast, where the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean meet. Many ships that want to avoid Yemeni Waters and the possibility of being searched and seized take their chances with the unguarded Somali waters. These guys aren't doing Puntland a benefit anyways and in no way looking out for its interest, it is one thing if they went after a ship that was fishing illegally or dumping waste, but they are just going after yachts and other expensive targets to fatten their pockets.

These guys don't care about the content, i.e grammar or historical accuracy . They'll post whatever nonsense they think makes their secessionist enclave look good. They actually showed pics of a French Ambassador they have in france. IT'S A CULT I TELL YOU!!!! -
Is the Tanya pic suppose to be a joke?

Warmoog, I never though of it that way. You brought up a good point. It might be a ploy to devert attention away from their so-called president extending his term. Which is why people on hear that speak against the Ethiopians in Somalia are the same ones excited at this news and posted pictures of helicopters. Keep us informed. They'll never produce pics to prove it, we have to take their word for it and the "people" that saw it. -
The secessionistland tribal enclave never ceases to amaze me on how they take ever opportunity to whine about the TFG and President Abdullahi Yusuf, their biggest threat towards their unattainable dream. But whatever. On this topic, I'll be honest with you guys. I've been all over Somalia and must say that with all the suffering people had gone through and civil war, Islam kept them out of a lot of evil that would have taken over many other societies. With that being said, I was also shocked how so many people thought they can make their own rules up and believed they could sneak their way out of facing justice from any crime they committed. Usually this is a result of what tribe they belong to. Case in point is this article; if you notice the so-called new release only mentioned by name the release of the 3 hostages that belonging to their tribe. I read in another article that some elders admit to 2 of the 6 were pirates and the rest were selling khat. That's what I noticed when I was there to, they don't realize that if you aid pirates you are just as guilty as they are. If you went there to pick them up, you are the same as them. Even though they have to be found guilty in a court of law and the hostages must identify them, our people need to realize that even though they break guys out of jail back home and pay money to get them out. They are eventually going to pay justice somewhere. It's one thing if they want to rob the citizens of their land and expect to get away with it, but if they are going to start doing it to other nationalities they better expect to deal with the consequences. Oh yeah, no hostages were killed or injured, there's no way they can get life in prison.

Somalia´s future?... After Somaliland´s independence

Naxar N bro, I wonder that all the time, and don't bother asking a question and expecting a response. You don't see Djibouti's on here bashing the TFG and wishing for it's destruction, I just don't understand if they say they are independant do they even care. They've gone to everyone's door step even their precious british and were rejected. Now they see the TFG accomplishing more "internationally" then they could in 17 years and they are praying for it's destruction. ABDULLAHI YUSUF IS AT THE UN. Their leader went site seeing in washington and met with the CIA like every warlord does. If you are independant focus on yourselves -

That's what I don't understand. Although there is no proof yet that this news is true, the people on hear are anxious and willing to allow them in. They are ready to gamble their hard earned peace by allowing them to take some of their land and make a base. Even though only 3 months ago they were told that they weren't going to or were not on the verge of recognizing them. Tell the whole story about the base they had in the past. We were at war with Ethiopia and they had the support of Russia and other nations. We had a huge threat. Right now, you have peace no enemies and you are willing to take your chance on that. You'll see what happens. -
I wonder why their are no protest anywhere, even in the alleged pirates home towns. I find it quite strange. I'm pretty sure if innocent guys driving in the middle of no where were in an SUV were scooped up their would be outrage. Hopefully this will deter other people from conducting these criminal acts. There should be huge protest in Bosasoo over the opening of a money making machine, but why the silence on the criminals? These guys got out smarted plain and simple. They'll learn that if you do the crime, you pay the time.

Do you know every Muslim country is trying to get them to leave, even Iraqi's Shi'a? Do you realize how much prostition they bring with those soldiers there, I saw it in Djbouti? Ethiopians take orders from them, they are nothing compared to the US. It's one thing if you are on the verge of destruction and have no choice, but you are already peaceful. Forget it, just don't comment on Ethiopians again. -

The hypocrites of all hypocrites. They speak against others for allowing Ethiopians in and they in turn allow Americans to enter. AFTER THEY WERE REJECTED IN JANUARY FOR RECOGNITION. All the years begging the British did nothing. -
