Thanks for the suggestions bro but before Ethiopians came the warlords were there so instead of dealing with warlords we now have to deal with ethiopians.

Salam Alaykum brothers and sisters, I have been following news happening in Somalia ever since the war started in December 2006 and I have come to the conclusion that there are 5 steps to bringing peace back to the Horn of Africa. However its easier said than done but these are the steps: 1. Removing Ethiopian troops - I think this is a must and needs to be done sooner rather than later. 2. Removing all Warlords - This is also very important because before the war, these were the guys keeping Somalia from peace and stability. Btw I'm not too sure what these Islamist (i.e Al-Shabaab) motives are, if they are genuine then thats fine by me however if they have other ideas, then I will remove them from Somalia as well. 3. Rebuild - This can only done when the enemies of Somalia are taken care of. Countries like Angola, Eritrea and even Somaliland have rebuilded if people work together. 4. Change Government - Now I'm not too knowledgable on Somalia's politics but if you want a stable country, then you need a stable govt and a strong president who cares about the country. Siad Barre did very well for the country in his fist few years. By the looks of it the TFG can bring no good to Somalia, and Abdillahi Yusuf is only a puppet who sold his soul to the devil (Ethiopia). 5. Work out ties - Now this last bit I wasn't too sure about but Somalia could come to some sort of agreement with neighbours such as Ethiopia over lands such as O g a d e n. So in future there are no wars over land ownership. The same for Kenya and NFD. Also come to some sort of agreement over Somaliland to get it resolved whether to unite or to secede. However none of this will home unless god wills so Insh'allah Ilaahey khayr aa siiyo Somalia.

Dispatches: Notes From a Failed State (Somalia/Somaliland)
cabdi-casse replied to Ibtisam's topic in General
I see that Somalis don't look the same. Some are as pale as Saudis, others as dark as the blackest African . Well I guess that one would be me then -
Also we should proposed a name change to this cat to: America, or England
-
I agree it sounds wrong saying I am a Somalian, but its become a habit to me and many others. Btw I thought it was dhulka Soomaal as opposed to dhulka Soomaaliya (maybe its the colonizers, because us Somalis are mixed up and the language has been formed from Arabic, English , Italian, and many other east African languages etc.

Great pics dabshid, good luck to Somalia, hope they see some good things for a change. Btw besides the athletes who are the other guys?

Also if you have any post some pics of your favourite city.
-
Hi guys, I want to know what your favourite Somali city other than your hometown. This includes how it looks, the people, the food etc. BTW my hometown is Hargeisa  but I really like Gebiley beacause of the friendly locals, the clean streets and of course the women .

Also as a Somali I would like to see Abdulahi Yusuf gone and Somalia to be free from this suffering.
-
juje - what has somaliland seceding got to do with the suffering of somalia? how can somaliland being part of somalia help them? somaliland arent exactly living in luxury are they so, them seceding has nothing to with the suffering, but it has everything to do with the suffering we endured.

mine shows that my country is in my people's hands and they decide their future if god wills

President Yusuf after 4 years : massive steps taken for Somalia
cabdi-casse replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
General Duke - You say what have the 'Mafia bosses achieved', well they rebuilt a the main cities of SL which were a bomb site, they brought stability to the land, and finally peace to the land. -
Qabiildiid - SL's 'crazy' dream is more realistic than the 'greater somalia' dream. SLanders do not wish Somalia to stay in chaos, whereas, everyone other than SL wishes it to fall apart.

Reer Awdal oo Addisababa kaga mudaharaaday Somaliland
cabdi-casse replied to Abtigiis's topic in Politics
I come from Hargeysa and have family who come from Awdal and I dont see what Awdal needs to be freed from, because if I remember Awdal is in peace as is Somaliland compared to somali weyn. -
I dont know why I keep hearing SNM, I thought SNM finished long time ago after the fall of Siad Barre, so inform me if this is a new movement I didnt hear about.
-
I believe the tfg are weak because they sold the souls to the devil(ethiopia), and unless they are gone somalia will forever be in an abyss

I saw a garanuug on the outskirts of Hargeisa (whilst on the back of a xaajiyad, lol). I saw a sagaaro a number of times in Hargeisa. p.s. our country used to have more beautiful wildlife before all the conflict, such as libaax, maroodi, xarimacad etc.
