No offense, but there was no concrete evidence to support their bogus claims that the aliens being pissed off at us. I found it bizarre they discussed the energy crises and the environment when they should be more concerned with supporting their allegations. I'd more likely believe they were seeing Jinns then aliens. For more info, read the surah on Jinns.

Originally posted by Janna: Somaliaonline members and silent readers, I am facing a major dilemma in my life. There is a doctor who I have met recently, who is a non-somali. Knowing the doctor less then a month, he proposed. I refused his proposal. I politely declined his proposal because he is a Muslim by name. He does not pray on regular bases however wishes to change. He is continuously mentions his wealth and the life I could have, if I accept his proposal. Marrying for wealth never appealed to me. I imagine myself marrying a practicing Muslim who is a Somali. I am not interested in him. Nor do I find him attractive. Without turning someone who wants to increase their iman away, how do I turn him down and encourage him to become a better Muslim? Somaliaonline female members, would any of you consider a Non-Somali who is a doctor and wealthy? Who would marry for money? I will give you some advise: 1) Just because he doesn't pray 5 times a day does not make him a muslim by name..that is for Allah to judge 2) If your not interested in him, then you shouldnt concern yourself with his deen. It is up to him to fix up. He already knows about the religion and no one needs to be "coaxed" or "forced" back into deen. It eventually needs to come from him 3) Be honest, and reject him. Also, be a friend and tell him that if does need your help to learn more about the deen, that you will offer advise to him (considering your qualified to give such advises, of course) 4) Breathe. This is not just a huge ordeal as it may seem to you. ---- Would I consider marrying a non-somali doctor? Sure, if I love the guy, why not. I won't marry for money. That is so shallow. Inshallah, I'll be making my own small fortune. The more money, the more the charity to give, right?

What the hell is wrong with some of the male posters here? Rape is forcing sex on someone who DOES NOT want to have SEX. Whether she is your wife or not. It's still rape. Please educate yourselves before its too late.

Goodness, some of you are so uptight. But there are plenty of fishes in the sea that think like you, so you might actually find someone. Good luck.

Originally posted by Devilangle: Reality check, she hanged up becoz on their 1st formal talk he managed to bring tampon into the discussion, it wasn’t about his past relationship. If she asked for details about his past relationships, I dont see why she would get all closed up because he told her he brought his GIRLFRIEND tampons. She asked.

Originally posted by Nur: Devil's Advocate As usual, you are defending the devil well, and you seem to have followers, The Union of Islamic Courts are not a political organization, they are a collection of ISLAMIC, I repeat, ISLAMIC, one more time , ISLAMIC Courts that were set up to bring law and order to a tribally fractured nation, devastated by corrupt politicians and bloody warlords. The reality is that we are going to have peace, no matter how much you yearn for anarchy, travel without fear of bandits and warlords roadblocks, , and inshAllah, will celebrate a national government without the criminals at Baidoa. Last time I checked Nur, SOmalia was majority muslim. Therefore, ANY court in Somalia would be an ISLAMIC one. Don't manipulate my name to offend me. I have reported your post.

Originally posted by Mr. Red Sea: So unless, you just dislike certain qabiil, then I wouldn't see why it's neccesary to know what qabiil they belong to.Focus more on the work they have done, and less of their Qabiil. You just dont' need to figure out anything, everything they have done thus far should be enough for you unless you are looking for other excuses to critisie the ICU. thanks, The first sentence is irrelevant as I don't believe that Qabiil does any good for Somalia. On the other hand, it is important part of the current political climate as it is a major factor and there needs to be analysis of the influence of qabiil on these regimes.

Originally posted by Libaax-Sankataabte: lol. We go through this every year this time. Same questions. Reality Check (DA), IMO, the only debates that are missing are. 1. Religious vs non-religious (Attacks against Islam, etc) 2. Group A vs Group B (groupie based discussions is much hated by the average nomad here. It divides nomads here, forces people to quit the forum and damages quality when things get personal.) Everything else is pretty much the same. There are more active topics and more traffic than ever before. As for the nomads' love with politics these days, this is what I said to professor NGONGE on this issue. "NGONGE, the ICU is the best story that came out of Somalia in sixteen years. ICU is hot. People love hot topics. Have you noticed people who never paid attention to politics are making comments there now. To simply put it, ICU = Islam + Politics + Camel Milk Debate. It is one of the few hot stories that can create multiple interests. But expect this craze to die down as the tradition goes here. There is something hot every couple of months. For now, many nomads are interested in the ICU story and the best forum to go for that story is the Politics forum." I've always emphasized that if you love exciting topics, create them. If you see an interesting topic on another website, post it here and spicy it up. Don't expect to come here and find tons of "good topics" if you are not doing your part. Remember, this is a community which thrives on "excitement" and active topics posted by others. It is so easy to come here and enjoy reading the many exciting topics SOL has to offer, but if you don't find something you like here, the best way to remedy the situation is to visit other websites such as google, technorati, youtube or whatever, and find good topics to post for others. The process becomes contagious. Don't be a leech. On the other hand, if you are the type of a nomad who enjoys hot, long debates, either pick a topic and start your own, or select one of the active topics and turn it into a hot debate. It is actually not that hard to pick a controversial topic, say some outrageous things and boom ... you have nomads lining up to crucify you. As for the missing nomads, they usually come back after their schedule improves. I know Castro, CaanoGeel, Baashi, Serenity and Sheherazade have slowed down due to work schedule/lack of "open" internet access at work or Ramadan affect. The situation usually corrects itself and Insha Allah you will see them more often. It has happened to all of us. Marba qof baa la yara waayaa oo waqtigu ciriiri ku noqdaa. I need to find Pierre/Farah and Tychwania. Any word on their marriage? There are couple of nomads missing after Ramadan as well. What happened to our sister Rahima? Salaama Now that you mention it LST, why is there censorship on qabiil names, but ICU and the current Somali climates can be freely (in a very disorganized fashion) discussed. Qabiil is a big part of the issue, and it's rather sad we have to find creative ways to step around that censorship. As with the Islamic forum, I do understand the need to remove topics that are "unislamic" but I do hope that doesn't include unpopular views as well. I see nothing wrong with non-religious people posting here, as long as they are not throwing around insults. I do realize that the topic I started is nothing new. I'm not just complaining, I'm also posting and contributing to discussions. Alot can be said for organization though.

This thread is inspired by Nur's "Scarce Resources" aka pro-Polygymy. The question I pose to the ladies: 1) Would you choose to marry a maried Somali man? OR 2) Marry a Non-Somali man (who isn't married AND muslim)? Make sure to pick an answer before you give your opinion. Have a nice day.

Originally posted by Mr. Red Sea: ^I get it.However, what exactly are you trying to get out of this? Do you want to get out of this of whether they belong more into one qabiil,or are you trying to see the good things that they have done? If you need to know their Qabiil, then most thus far belong into one qabiil. But if you are being rational individual, you would start seeing all the good things that has been done by the ICU,which suprisingly you seem to not know any of it. you are in this cyber somali community, I think I and many other's here serve a great example, Red Sea: (Hargeysa), Nayruus:(Hargeysa) Mr.'Me':(Hargeysa),Soo Maal (Sool),Xiinfaniin(Sool)Baashi (Mudug) and more--- The purpose of this thread is to figure out the qabiil breakdown of these "wadaado". Nothing more, nothing less. By the way, I dont believe in qabiilism. You've listed where these SOL are from. Why do I need know? And if you are going to tell, why don't you also include their qabiils as well. But then again, this is SOL and we don't do that here.

I realize I'm beating a deadhorse because the topic starter is the moderator for this section. However Kashafa, I would like to address you by saying if you mean by islamic revival you mean the violence and deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people, I'd rather there not be any revival at all. I think this section needs a new moderator.

Originally posted by Mr. Red Sea: [Numberwise we don't know, but as far as those who seem to be supporting the ICU are more numerous by observation. If we look in Somaliland, there are many people who in support of the ICU,however, they won't be able to state their support outloud because they might be arrested, some already have been.In Puntland also many people have been arrested for having support for the ICU. HOwver, many people also support the ICU,because in dislikeness they have for the TFG,since the TFG has led Amxaaro troops into the country. All in all, you have many who support the ICU,because of their agenda;to rule accoring to Islamic sharica, and many who favor them, because the don't like what the TFG is doing. This should be enough to hint, which side the support is leaning on. Furthermore,I urge you to observe teh supporters of teh ICU in this very discussion form, sol , and from which regions they came from, from that you can also based your conclusions on. Again, if you don't know the numbers, how can you assume where the support is leaning towards. There are allegations of the ICU being an oppressive regime, and its obvious that you don't. If I am to believe you, I would have to believe those allegations as well. At the end of the day, there is no way to even guage if other clans support the ICU, those who are against, and which of those two is the greater of them. Get it?
