No one is talking about rejecting hadith or sunnah, but I am under the impression when people make statements as to watch is sin or not, they should be able to back it up with proof. Nur stated it was a grave sin and may lead to kufar. I asked where he got such information.
-
you said: Denial Denial of a Hadeeth in this category is a grave sin is a grave sin and it can lead to Kufr. Well, if denying a "Credible" Hadeeth because its used in the body of the Sharia laws is a grave sin, then not following it (because you either choose not to or flat-out deny) would be a grave sin as well. It depends on how the individual looks at it. But my main question is actually aimed at the GRAVE SIN part of the statement---not the denial. List your sources. A good answer to this question can be answered using the ultimate criterion, the Quran. Still waiting......

Originally posted by Nur: Walaalo, in Islam, we either have the particular knowledge or we dont, if we have that knowledge source we are advised to follow it, if we dont have the knowledge source we are adviced to seek it, the great sin is incurred when a person neither has knowledge nor is willing to seek it from those who have the knowledge. Nur When you make statements that something is a sin, you have to be able to support it with a source, no? So where is your source? People with knowledge have the capability to mislead those who neither seek to exercise the common sense God gave them or have it. This is why when religious leaders make statements of fact, they have to support with a source. Now you said not following sahiih hadith is a GRAVE sin and leads to Kufar. List your sources.

*sigh* @ Sawyer. I dont know why we have to wait until February for new episodes, its complete torture. Oh, Sylar is like a serial killer with powers. CREEPY. Has anyone watched this show called man v. wild. It's pretty new. The premise of the show is this ex-british military guy who goes into very dangerous "situations" and teaches viewers how to survive in the wilderness. The last ep, he parachuted into a French Alp Mountains with just water, flint and knife. He had to hunt for his food while looking for the nearest town. He ate some pretty nasty stuff out of desperation like raw fish (because he was surrounded by snow and couldnt make fire), eating maggots of a dead carcass (?sp) and root of pine trees (apparantly it is very nutrious). He also jumped into a frozen lake to show people what to do in case this happens to them. His camera crew are not allowed to intervene unless its a complete life and death matter. Pretty brave guy.

So, as I said, IT CAN LEAD, meaning depending on the reason of not accepting, if all the scholars have qualified the Hadeeth, for a lay person to question it without any metrics, it could be tantamount to a scape from oblication, which is the danger of Kufr. Nur You seem to avoiding a direct answer. Ok. You said it is a grave sin. How is this a GRAVE SIN. If we don't follow the consensus of the scholars we are all sinning, because we are "lay" people?

Couple of questions for you, Nur: 1) It's not really a question, but more of a comment. The word Hadith is actually used in the Quran, to refer to the Quran itself. 2) Originally posted by Nur: Denial of a Hadeeth in this category is a grave sin and it can lead to Kufr. Does the Quran support this statement? 3) How does one reconcile with Sahiih hadiths that directly conflict with a directive in the quran i.e. punishment for fornicators (Allah says lashings, Bukhari says stoning to death)?

How to keep your marriage strong and avoid seperation
Reality Check replied to RedSea's topic in General
Yeah, you forgot to mention few factors like: -Seeking pre-marital counselling. -Finances----#1 marriage breaker -don't have children if you aren't able to provide for all that they need to survive in these parts (I dont understand women that have 6-9 children, yet they are on welfare) -Live TOGETHER (I know soooo many Somali couples whose husbands live abroad) C'mon now Red Sea..it takes alot to make a marriage work. -
Lost is still the best show on TV. Im starting to get hooked on Heroes. Hiro is the best/cutest thing that happened to the show. Grey's anatomy is also up there. Oh and let's not forget Boston Legal. FUNNIEST show on TV. This is the only show that makes me laugh out loud. Love it. and of course, im able to catch all these shows because of this nifty thing called DVR that records everything while I'm in class. SO I watch my shows only when I have the time to, and I get to fast forward all commercials.

Originally posted by Nur: LazieG. The idea of marriage is not all about looks, looks hooks up together, they dont keep us together, its faith in Islam that does that. Some Faaraxs argue that we need breeding good Faarax genes, so that we can solve Somalia's problems from conception, literally. If all Xalimos only marry good Faarax, regardless if he is married or not (provided he is within quota) , then the good genes of the xalimos will be amplified by the good Faarax's behaviour, to bring good kids, not anarchists! what do you say? Nur Manners are not genetically inheritable. Sorry to break it to yah.

Why are we so deeply invested in whatever muslim man/woman are doing with their own lives? Who cares if she wore the Hijab or not? Let muslims be!

That's comes from the sunnah. But noone in this world can judge who is and isnt muslim. The ultimate judge is GOD.

Allah says they will never accept you until you leave your deen. This is not about niqab.......it is about Islam. Before you jump the gun, go back and read the article. The judge said he couldn't hear her. It's an issue of speaking, and not Islam (yet). Give it time, and see where this goes before we start our rallying/rioting.

Originally posted by Nur: RC I hope that you give me the benefit of the doubt at least once, Satan and Devil in the context of this response is the real Devil, not you. No, I never intended to insult you, I only called you a name that you have used for youself and others have used to address you, and is still appearing on your signature, if it is insulting to you, why keep it as a reference? And lastly, if by any chance, my comments were perceived by you as offensive, I do whole heartedly apologise. I have no permanenet memory of anger, I erase my files daily with Dhiker, I need the space for Ibaadah. Again, I did not have any intention to insult you, its your call what you want to believe. Salams Nur You seem to miracuously invoke the Devil/Satan's name more when replying to my posts. But I guess that's the just the Devil playing mind tricks on me. And your apology is accepted.

Shabnam Mughal, 27, insisted she had the right to use the black veil covering all but her eyes during the immigration tribunal hearing in central England at Stoke-on-Trent on Monday, despite the judge saying that he could not hear her. If the issue is truly about the judge not being able to hear her, this could be a detriment to the hearing. There "may" be solutions to that problem. I hope they "resolve" this issue without prejudice or stomping of basic human rights.

Anwer: No, only some of the times, and it happens when the devil works on my mind, its hard to keep him away! You write: So here is my question: How come you dont apply the same standards to your own conduct? Answer: When I forget my dhiker session, and the devil instigates anger in my heart, i momentarily forget that I am doing e-Dawa work on the net, and I should be careful not to be angry on or off the job, but being a human, at times, just like evrybody else, I fail, then I remember Allah, I seek Allah's refuge against the Satan, than, I get up on my feet an carry on my responsibility of edawa. ( Idaa massahaum taaif-un mina sheitaani tadakaruu fa idaa hum mubsiruun) Quraan, meaning, as for Allahs servants, when Satan corrupts their perception, and hence their action, they realize their goofs, they begin to see their mistakes again with clarity! Failures should never stop me from my job, it never stoped Moses, who committed a murder and later repented, from delivering Allah's message to Pharoah, I am not a prophet, nor are you a Pharoah, so can we be friends again? Nur I see you are still taking my former name (Devil's advocate) quite literally. If you have a problem with that name, say so instead of being childish about it. If you admit that you fail(And by fail, you mean that you did indeed insult me), isn't the muslim way to apologize for your actions?

The good: Now your kids have all grown up and making lots of money. They love you, so they provide everything for you--the house, the car, everything that you want is their treat.
