Few nights ago in the masjid, during Tarawih half time, this gentlman, very god fearing fellow, was giving a short lecture. He said that he isn't a scholar but wanted to share with us and remind us the grave. He said he chose to wash/clean when a person dies and he washed and participated barrying hundreds of muslims in our town. He added the reason he chose for doing this as his primary job is to always remember the grave and where the ultimate destincy is awating for all of us.. God, I really cried when he went on talking about the grave and what is waiting for everyone.. Anything when you do or see that reminds you Aakhiro? me is the fire..

KK gabadha daa cilmiga ha raacatee.. Keep it up Alliyah.. Go and hike also just record the screams u make that is all I am asking u... Hiking, Camping and Fishing are the least things I would ever do as fun. I see doing them for fun as digasho and dhereg dhacsi.. I believe them they are survival conditions. I lived in a camp out in the bush for real so don't see how fun that can be..

Hiking could be uoi as well? I am imagining you hiking though? Screamings, alla waan dhici gaadhay, omg...

^ I like your hopeful feelings Ya Nina.. I am with you.. I lived both places, Mogadishu prior the war and no comparison the two places. Adis is too dirty both itself and its people. You will hate the place even more in the rainy seasons, too much mud......dhiidhi/dhooqo and you can't walk. Imagine walking in a wet farm somewhere in Shabeele and Juba regions, basically you would leave your shoes in the mud and walk bare feeted... However in the past 20 years, Adis advanced where Mogadishu was dying.. So the two can't be fairly compared at this time...

Sounds almost easy. (Unless I misunderstood the responsibilities?) Right on! shaqadaada laguu sheegi maayo...

kkkk... You just reminded me many similar stories friends told.. Sometimes arabs are too generious ma istidhi.. One story was an old man went to Egypt to see his son.. For some reason, the son missed his father at the airport after few times father didn't show up due to flight cancelation. The father came next day and ended up at masjid near the airport area when his son didn't show up at the airport. He speaks no arabic. At the end of the salad, he stood asking the people in the masjid if anyone knows his son, obviously speaking with somali but no one understood and many thought he needs help.. So they started giving money.. Everyone dropped whatever changes in his pocket.. Imagine oday proud somali ah wiilkiis lacag leeyahay living in Qahiro oo sadaqo loo ururinayoo.. Tii dheerayd baa ka dhacday..

This reminds me Mogadisho's last days and its widespread looting of everything from schools text books to gov cars all over...

^^ I think that is common even now days somalis take their food esp males to the mosques and share however the mosque I went to yesterday has its own chitchen and volunteers. They cook a complete afur and suber every day..Costs were donated by masjid members.. It was nice and many people eat @masjid every day.. Try on the 27th night!

All posts should have get same paid but bonus is upto your creativity and performance.. I assume u accepted it.

I meant gun fighting in and around the compound..So now if they are reporting no dead fighters, their news feeds are not accurate.. Where are they speculating duqii went to?
-
There are too many conflict reports from there. This morning english BBC was reporting a very fierce fight around the compound and even they aired gun fights..
