Maryan Mursal loses lots of supporters in MUQDISHO.
Samafal replied to MoonLight1's topic in Politics
She didn't recognise Somaliland and its seems to me she has recognised Somaliland as a part of the Federal Somali state. Her words at Igal Airport prove this further. And if anything this affirms the need for the Somaliland people to recognize that the future is Federal Somalia. -
Guys don't be eluded by Emperor. He is here to support his man Mohamed Mirre and his thousand men strong from Kismayo. They are fighting under the banner of Hizbul Islam. Mr Mirre is promised to get the Primeminster's position should they overtake Sharif's goverment . That said, I think Duke and Emperor have a point. They supported TFG when their uncle was at the helm. That is pure opportunistic. Now their uncle is retiring happily in Yemen they can afford to play the nationalistic card by opposing foreign troops bombing their citizens as they were played against last time when uncle wanted to return law and order. That is fair? isn't it.

What I saw on TV just now can not be attributed to the acts of god fearing moslems. These are the acts of power hungary thugs and god willingly they will not succeed.

Somalia is going into its darkest hour as young clueless boys are posed totake over the whole country. May god help us!

I didn't know Apprentice has a following in SOL.. Since the first show I become addicted to the TV programme. But this time it clashes with my Evening classes, may be I will youtube as well.

Good choice. Cumar is not new in Somali politics as such, he once put himself forward for the Puntland presidency before the election was disrupted by internal conflict between Col Jama Ali Jama and Col. Yusuf. Now let the work begin.

^ reigning on you spending can be a bad reason to have a long lasting and deep recession. Any economist will advise the public to pump up their spending to give a rescue plan a chance. So SPEND AND SPEND MORE UNTIL YOU ARE BASICALLY BROKE.
-
Emperor you are right about that but it's less hassle than naming a man with big ego that will ultimately undermine him and the government. Besides, this way of having two competing men in the top job have failed to work before with Qawm Qasssim and Qawm Yusuf. To go through the same road is suicidal in my opinion. let one man run whole show and see how it goes I say.

If Sheikh Sharif want to bring peace to Somalia I would advise him to get rid off the PM position, and run the show himself! otherwise waligeed is qabqabsi iyo reer hebel ka bixi mayso bahashu... Teeda kale, what is this BS about Galaydh, Cirro etc he should chhose a PM that he can do a business with. onother Mullah with a bit of civility will do.
-
That would be a good news, wouldn't it?, If the Sheikh brings them to his fold at this critical point of the mother land, he will have to be crowned as the king of the country But I don't think those hard headed extreme men can easily be seduced like that. I smell they came for more sinister plan to execute than to negotiate with good Sheikh. Balse war jiraaba cakaaruu iman.

Sharif should pick a PM from the far right, probably Abu Mansuur. For sure that will do. On serious note though I believe the next PM should be another Wadaad. It should be 4.5 compliant, otherwise people will go mad.

I read the article and I don't see where he says he will fight extremism. Why do people misquote?

SOL Projection: Shariif wins the race for the presidency
Samafal replied to xiinfaniin's topic in Politics
Well done to Sheikh Sharif. He is the man of the momment and Inshallah will lead us out of this misery. He comes across as a intelligent, honesty, and well rouned man. Ilaahoow wadanka noo qabooji oon noo daji. -
Sheikh Sharif will most likely be Somalia's next president. With his 275 head start and dozens more aligned MPs from the TFG he is almost seems guaranteed to get the top position. But will he solve Somalia's problems? I doubt not but I hope and pray time will prove me wrong.

Good Move-Ilkajir, Nuridiin and Saleebaan turn down Cabinet Positions
Samafal replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
Bad move. They should have got on with job and bring change within. They showed political novelty by resigning at this early stage of the administration. -
What is the fuss? There were two regions who wanted presidency more than the others (Nugaal & Sanaag) and one of them won.

Caamir - the general is standing for the position of president not a restaurant manager and if elected his decisions will affect many people so he can not lock himself up in a room and say I want to be elected. He needs to bring forward a practical solutions to the problems that the region is facing and communicate these to the wider public. He is not a known product and certainly his CV states that he left the country after the civil war. You speak of experience and I don't see any in his CV and less you are fascinated by the title 'general' (remember these titles were given during the Siad's reign). The reason why he is a front runner and might win the election is the fact that he is a 'general' and is sad. May be you know him better so please share it with us. Thiery - I will only do it if you come on board and bring GM with you. Deal? Duke - Nice to see you old boy. We are just cyber warriors and our noise is harmless so never mind. But tell us why do you think he's the best candidate? How is he different from the rest?
-
Nuradin talks the talk but not sure if he can walk the walk. But time will tell. The chance of him winning is very slim. Come four years, he will have a good chance of claiming all for himself.

Somalidu nin bay iska hor ordaan iyagoo aan ogeyn waxa uu yahay. This guy Ilkajir seems to me another Cadde. Remember how people hailed Cadde as a savior, a religious man and a man with a new thinking. The guy (Ilkajiir) barely says anything in the media and does not tell his hopeful electorates how he will do things if selected as president. He seems clueless and rests all his campaingn on the fact that he is a general and will bring security! I couldn't think people would be so forgetful, after what shame Cadde has brought to this region. If I were to choose of a candidate out of many, on the basis of what they write or said it would be 'Farjac'. He seems to know what he is talking about and brings new ideas on the table. He communicates well on how he will do things in detailed way.

^Idinkana wax baa faarfartaan intaas!! Its not good to twist words, if you hate the man, that is fine. But I don't see anything wrong with what he said. Every one loves his village and region from other villages and regions, because that is where they were born, raised and have family and friends and therefore can not mean they are not nationalistic. Also, its normal everywhere for presidents to go back to their hometowns, after they have been in power. Marka walaal dadka ha kala dilina, if you have problem with the guy, attack his policies but do not always think negatively about everything that he utters. To Sheikh Emperor, for a minute I thought you were referring to the army of Cambodia!! From what I hear they will stay if the government hangs on together, but if civil and religious war starts, they will have to leave for Punt.

^Let me reverse the question, What does Puntland get to lose if they continue supporting it as they supported while Yusuf was president? Nothing?
-
^the TFG existed in paper and still exists in paper, it's just that Yusuf departed from it. It was always a hope that one day it may work. I can see some MPs have resigned and so did many before them. And no I dont think he is the only one that bfriends himself with Ethopia but he has history of his frienship with them ending in disaster. So I dont think the oldman will stick around as I think he will retire from politics, but Puntlanders can draw a lesson to be learned from it. You see, it's in the best interests of Puntland to support and be part of the TFG otherwise they will be decided for them in their absence and they will have no say in Somali affairs. You got to chose between scoring a point against Nur Adde, a man that might not be in a PM position after 30 days or work for the greater good of the whole Somali nation in the detriment of Ethopia.
