Asalaamu'Ayakum...wr...wb, i just thought we should start something ongoing to take advantage of the somaliaonline medium and remind each other of Allah and how important knowledge is in our deen. my idea is to insha'allah start a Hadith of the week, i have a friend who does this via e-mail and i've benefited from it immensely alhamdulilah, so insha'Allah we can all try this. the deal is we post up a hadith which u have come across and u wish to share with the rest of the ppl here on somaliaonline. where we can discuss ur hadith and gain more insight to a hadith u have chosen. ie...my hadith of the week; narrated Abu Mas'ud, Allah's messenger (saw) said "Whoever guides someone to virtue will be rewarded equivalent to him who practices that good action". Masha'allah...Allahu'Akbur see how merciful Allah is, just by guiding some1 to do good u get the same reward as the person doing the deed, Allahu'Akbur doesnt dat make u wanna do dat more often... feel free to post and discuss insha'allah . Subxan'Allah u guyz have adapted the none muslim way of life. man its sick enough when the non-muslims have no shame, lakiin the muslims, even worse amongest themselves??!! :eek: sis the cawra (area's that should be covered) 4 a muslimah is from head to ankle excluding the hands and face in front of non-muxrim men. as for the cawra in front of women, its from ur belly botton to ur knee's. mind u dont get the impression that it means u should walk around topless infront of sista's , this implies that u r able to breast feed ur child infront of them. as for the shower, sista in this day and age u have to be very careful about the situations u get urself in to, u'd be suprised to find that some ppl (wa'acudu'billah) r attracted to the same sex, obviously this is the works of the shaytan. lakiin what i mean is dat being naked can (i'm not saying in all cases) cause unwanted arousal. so y would ya wanna do dat :confused: i go 2 da gym too, and in the female section sista they do have seperate showers, big enough 2 get changed in. if not which i dont understand, y'all should just go home stinking and have a shower at home :rolleyes: . anyway dats my 2cents worth, khayr insha'allah. salaamz... the reason for the increase in the STD problems facing the somali communities is that somali parents failed to realise that upon entering the western world the problems they and the generation the will produce will have 2 face. they think that tradition and values are the same as what they held when they were growing up, so the thought of sex or drugs even being mentioned is enough 2 enrage any somali parent. and that is the problem. they seem 2 be closing their eyes on issues that will most definatly effect their child whether they like the idea or not. what needs 2 be done is to educate the parent about these issues and 2 train them in method where they can begin 2 build a open communication barrier with the youth. this give youth the confidence 2 discuss the emerging problem they are facing and the weight of peer pressure, not 2 mention giving the parents the reasurence of knowing that their child is ok with discussing these sensative topics with them. this gives the parents the chance to steer the child in the right direction and help prepare the their kids for the fight ahead. not 2 mention this will also help 2 better equip the parents in picking up the earily indications on whether child is experimenting with drugs. subxan'allah i didnt intend to write so much. dats just my 2 cents worth. take care all and its good 2 see worth while topics that r about serious issues effecting us somali. nice going rookie. wasalaam.

salaamz hmm...interesting a male feminist brother i think the main reason the sisters ain't making a fuss about the location of the womens thread is the fact that we dont feel the least be worried about it. we have enough confidence within ourselvs not 2 be bothered with something as simple as that. i mean people still come in here although they have 2 scroll down and find it. all in all its still the most sought after place so its all cool :cool: p.s. naziha, lol, i never knew u 2 be so cruel
