  1. BTW, is there any precedent for jinn causing people to do wrong? Like, did it stand up in court as a valid defense or did this guy just make it up so he wouldn’t be blamed? Maybe it’s like demon possession where the demon influences a person to rob a bank or rape or murder. Do you think this can happen or does it belong in the funny pages or tabloids? The funniest part to me is that a committee investigated his claims!
  2. "Twinkie defense" is a derisive label for an improbable legal defense. It is not an actual legal defense in jurisprudence, but a catchall term coined by reporters during their coverage of the trial of defendant Dan White for the murders of San Francisco city supervisor Harvey Milk and mayor George Moscone. White's defense was that he suffered diminished capacity as a result of his depression. His change in diet from health food to Twinkies and other sugary food was said to be a symptom of depression. The media misinterpreted this defense as a claim that sugary food was itself responsible for White's criminal behavior. White was convicted of voluntary manslaughter.
  3. Edit: ^^^there you go again with your "deserves to be beaten" remark again - i think you deserve to be married to a man from Burco - in order to fully appreciate and understand the word "deserved" Ngonge tell C&H that story about the three women who decided to test their husbands - you know the ones from Hargaysa, Qardho and Burco The women that accept beatings do so because they believe it makes them better Muslims . where in hell - did you get that from?? lol- makes them better muslims ku laha - are they shiica or something - how does harming yourself or allowing to be harmed makes one a better muslim. or you just want to beat up C&H??
  4. Last Thursday, Salim Bin Atiya, the lawyer defending the “spell-casting” broker, demanded that Al-Qathami bring the genie to court so that his statements could be heard. & “What he said needs to be verified, as our Sheikh Bin Baz (the former Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia) said that if a genie spoke through a human tongue then that genie would be acting criminally, and might be lying.” We need a lawyer like this one at the other thread.
  5. LOL@ngonge - maya, saxiib been ma aadan sheegin. C&H - waxaagu waa ha lays tumo - until death or divorce do you part p.s. of all the people who responded to this - you can tell who is married and who isn't from their responses. who agrees with me?? p.p.s on serious note - has anybody noticed the contradiction of judgement passed??

  8. ^^ nin waalan baad tahay - certifiable! My understanding of the Sharia with regards to "beating of the wife" as interpreted from sura that prescribes it and explained by the majority of the accepted islamic jurisprudence or as they are more commonly known as 'schools of thought' is that it is not to be done out of anger - i.e. reactionary. However, if and when one must go thru motions of it - after exhausting the preceding steps - one is allowed to use a Miswaq/Caday(toothbrush) to lightly tap the wife in a way that leaves no marks around the unexposed parts of the body - i.e. definitely not the face. I am laughing as I type this - because if anything - this is to show the futility of embarking on such act in the first place. imagaine a woman standing around while her husband goes around "lightly tapping her body with toothbrush" C&H - what is with your "they deserved it attitude" - isn't that condoning the adage "the might is right" and contrary to what you are arguing against??? ....oh i forget - you'll break their hand even if they raised let alone put it on you - must be down to all that gym going paying off. what is next - "any woman who doesn't go to the gym and learn some self defence classes - deserve to be beaten".

  10. I don't know whether to or to  @ this story and its responses. @ the judgement of "wife's 'discipline' went over the top - but daughter 's 'discipline' illegal and not allowed because she was an adult. xaggee buu xukunku iska qaban layahay??????? I'll opt to relate the story of my sister - whose husband beat her blue and white. my brother found out about it. He confronted the man, the man told my brother to f off and that she was lucky he didn't divorce her too. My brother took out pistol and made few coordinated bullet holes in his macawis - one bullet lodged in his thigh. it suffices for me to say that man never jumped to beat another woman - but i am not sure if he crawled which brings me to the question - do these wives not have male relatives who protect them from abuse?? Also - have you lot heard about the yemen practise of marrying the sister of whoever marries your sister - on the premise that - should your sister be beaten - you avenge by beating his sister and vice verse you shouldn't beat up your wife - if you don't want your sister beaten  sick huh?

  13. ^^^oh i get that - what i don't get is why you support Liverpool of all the teams that man created (as if it is not enough being dumped or even worse being forced to be divorced by one american - only for another american to its place now) I was supporting Everton: We don't care what the Red shite say What the **** do we care We only know there's going to be a show And the Everton boys will be there hence why you were beaten by 2 goals
