Inaalilaah wa inaa ilaahi Rajicuun: Sh Abdulqadir Nur Farah Killed
SayidSomal replied to Samafal's topic in Politics
Dhabtuun baa khalqigu diidayaa meesha dheer tegaye Dhulgariirka waa laga baqaa waayo soo dhaxaye La dhex joogi mayo arlada dheelmashow qorane Qofba wuxuu dhigtaa baa u yaal dhiilka aakhiro Ninkii dhiiri sheegtow is furo waa dhanaan tahaye. ~Hadraawi Aad iyo aad baan ugu naxay dilka Sheekh Cabdulqaadir Nuur Faarax, runtii waa wax lagu naxo masiibadaan ina hortaagan, Illahay waxaan ka baryaaya in aan ka badbaadno indha tir kaan lanala rabo. Culminta waa indha shacabka - dilkooduna waa in bulshoyinka la indha tiro. Having said that - markii naxdintii iga degtay - waan faraxay - oo waxaan soo xasuustay asxaabtii nebi Maxamed (SCW) oo iyogoo nool loo balanqaday janada - sida sheekh Cabdulqaadir loo dilayna loo dilay - iyagoo racuu salaad ku jira - ie- standing/bowing before Allah (swt). Now having seen the video of the perpetrator of this heinous crime, I am more saddened than angry, whilst I can excuse his initial treatment as nothing more than emotionally ridden mob enraged by the assassination of their beloved sheikh. I do not approve or support this child’s further harsh treatment/torture or been killed by those u hadda gacanta u jidho. Even if they get all the information they need from him. The main point is for the main perpetrators are tracked and hunted. Once they are caught or killed for this child to be rehabilitated and forgiven for his crime and used to warn others of dangers of being brainwashed. -
Gabdhayahow Sidee waaye? Ilbaxnimadu saas maaha Sinta iyo lafaa duudka, saddex goor jejebi maaha Dhaqankaaga saydh maaha Soomaali diid maaha Sidaad doonto yeel maaha Qof silloon ku dayi maaha -Hadraawi (not paraphrased, but shortened to my favourite verse)

I honestly didn't get what dumaashi and abu-salman are talking about Jacpher - Waxaan u malaynayaa in aad iska heshay waxyaalahan qoray. - but jokes aside - These things i described are counter productive to being efficient and productive people and actually people benefiting from these events/meetings. Blessed - I agree with you it is dhaqan xumo and one of the ways to eradicate that dhaqan xumo is for organisers to perhaps mention these are bad practises and people should make effort to avoid them.

Allah knows I love my people. But I get a headache, whenever attend an event organised by them, with the exception of few - these events are characterised by an ever reoccurring features: 1. The noise levels and the late starts 2. Unnecessarily long speeches 3. Q&A sessions always descent into lectures with no question in sight – until the end – and always multiple unrelated questions 4. The claptrap clapping – dhabaq, dhabaq; as if thought in ay canjeero/laxoox qasayaan 5. The need to tell others off in disruptive way 6. Repetition, Repetition, Repetition, Reiteration, Reiteration ,,,,,,,,,, (you get the point) 7. The long introductions, salutations, appreciation of event organiser s etc etc etc ... 8. The guy who stands up and says ‘wax walbo aan dhihi lahaa waxaa dhahay walaalkay’ only to continue ‘balse waxaan ku dari lahaa’ – I feel like screaming – sit down and shut the .... (but I take my own advice ) 9. Dad ku dhex shiraaya shirka dhexdiisa 10. Constant coming and going whilst the event is still on. Enough rant – I feel better. – Please when you organise an event for Somalis bring up these issues and tell the people – We don’t want that.

Ayoub, I was planning to put it there but then I thought I'd use it to alert the regulars of the absence of our Ormo-loving Xaaji. :D You sly dog, I don't know about you, but no one dares to question my Somali'ness' or my Qardho credentials. Oba, (in your response to Tallabo) - remember af *****lan waa dahab

The US Central Intelligence Agency has been operating a secret airbase for unmanned drones in Saudi Arabia for the past two years. The facility was established to hunt for members of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, which is based in Yemen. A drone flown from there was used in September 2011 to kill Anwar al-Awlaki, a US-born cleric who was alleged to be AQAP's external operations chief. US media have known of its existence since then, but have not reported it. Senior government officials had said they were concerned that disclosure would undermine operations against AQAP, as well as potentially damage counter-terrorism collaboration with Saudi Arabia. The US military pulled out virtually all of its troops from Saudi Arabia in 2003, having stationed between 5,000 and 10,000 troops in the Gulf kingdom after the 1991 Gulf war. Only personnel from the United States Military Training Mission (USMTM) officially remain. 'High-value targets' The location of the secret drone base was not revealed in the US reports. However, construction was ordered after a December 2009 cruise missile strike in Yemen, according to the New York Times. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-21350437

Somaliland president Ahmed Siilaanyo departs for Britain+PICS
SayidSomal replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
To Ngonge: Nin ku yidhi sinnaan mayno Adna buri sarrayntiisa Sidka waa wadaagtaane Ma sagaashan baa tiisu (also an apt response to your 'airplane watcher' handle from the other thread) As for this topic as far as it concerns talks between Somalis, I think a proper Somali government would be best advised to directly campaign with the populace of the breakaway regions in convincing them their best interest in the long term is served by the union and if not they remain unconvinced they should be respected and a common ground negotiated to ensure a brotherly working relationship. During this campaign also their representatives should be talked with and I believe the pressure (from the public) on the representatives would be reduced, so as for them to come to viable conclusion to the whole saga. As a pragmatic person (nevertheless a unionist), my opinion on this situation is formed on the basis that the principle of SL stances is underpinned by the citizens of that place’s strong desire to have an independent state regardless of whether their economic, power and other considerations are best served under union with rest of the Somalia, as alluded to by many ardent SL supporters in here before, is true and as eloquently put in this article.
