  3. NGONGE;693865 wrote: ^^ Is not spot on. It is a well known fact that president Siilaanyo ALWAYS wears designer suits. Amin Amir is rubbish and he is trying to hold Somaliland hostage to something or other that I can't recall right now but I fully protest I tell ya. :D :D Who now - doesn't understand political caricature??
  4. ^and the casiir drinking splendid one to behold - has become the proverbial laughing cow - forget about clan is everything - he now chants - "caricature is everything" with permanent smile
  5. who knew Norf & Chimera were bakhils to the bone? all their protesting must be due to the subconscious guilt - for that Liverpool shirt or Nintendo Wii Fit that cost £200 each.
  6. ^Serenity - and must point out the bleeding obvious Chimera;693612 wrote: Stubid point. Somalis in the West should not be denied something everyone around them is doing. Just because they originally come from Somalia doesn't mean they can't spend money on themselves or their weddings, just because they come from Somalia doesn't mean they have an obligation to send money there, they do this voluntarily, 2 BILLION DOLLARS annually!! Creating thousands of jobs and new businesses. They are not the cause for the situation on the left, no they left that situation to live better lives and that's exactly what they are doing. This emotional blackmail is exactly the reason why our youth have such trouble fitting in their host countries. Those who want to help the people of their/parents birth country will do so, those who don't, should live their new lives the way they want to! OK - how is this for a blackmail: [“ Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and backbiter, who pileth up wealth and layeth it by.” (al-Humazah, 104:1-2). “And there are those who bury gold and silver and spend it not in the way of God: announce unto them a most grievous penalty.” (at-Tawbah, 9:34) (Nor) those who are niggardly or enjoin niggardliness on others, or hide the bounties which God hath bestowed on them; for We have prepared, for those who resist Faith, a punishment that steeps them in contempt” (an-Nisa, 4:37) “On the Day when heat will be produced out of that (wealth) in the fire of Hell, and with it will be branded their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, their flanks, and their backs.- "This is the (treasure) which ye buried for yourselves: taste ye, then, the (treasures) ye buried!"” (at-Tawbah, 9:35) .....................plenty more where that^^ came from........... As for whether one has the choice of giving or not as his whims dictate - as if thought there would be no accounting day - how one spend their wealth - here is warning: [ “And let not those who covetously withhold of the gifts which God Hath given them of His Grace, think that it is good for them: Nay, it will be the worse for them: soon shall the things which they covetously withheld be tied to their necks Like a twisted collar, on the Day of Judgment. To God belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth; and God is well-acquainted with all that ye do.” [/b] B] (Aal-i Imran, 3:180)

  10. ^Something about the title; " building stability - accepting reality" sound fishy to me - one wonders why SL accepted the invitation  - given the previous policy of - "Annagu Soomaaliya shuqul kuma lihin"
  11. Here is brief info on what I am talking about The helplessness and hopelessness theories are theories as to the root motivations of depression. The hopelessness theory is a theory that a person will be depressed because they have a sense that things will not get better, and they do not have any hope for improvement. This can easily be seen in cases of depression and seems like a sound theory. The helplessness theory is a concept that people become depressed due to not having control over their situation. This woulld be a sense that they cannot help or improve their situation because they can not get help for their situation. The two theories are the same in that do not see their situation or perceived situation getting better or improving. The difference in the two theories is that in the hopelessness theory, the person sees that there is not a chance of their situation getting any better. The helplessness theory seems to show that a person believes that their situation could get better. The problem is that in a helplessness theory, a person believes that acheiving these improvements will not be able to be acheived be cause they lack the resources and do not get the help they need. I think we need to stop all this hate and move on, our revolution failed when our dictator was removed from power. Sick of hearing Somaliland this, Puntland that, Mogadisho this. Twenty years and we have nothing to show for "Our supposed revolution" brought us nothing to unite us with 1 leader, so let's face it and all move on. If you want to know: I was born in Mogadisho, Mother born in Hargesa, Dad in Garowe. Lost everything we had in xamar, still a refugee and I am 27 with no pride in saying I am from Somalia, frankly... too ashamed. You sound like you are Hopeless and Helpless!

And whats wrong with women judging men by their looks? Men do it all the time! I do it all the time ; in fact, I stared at the Try Song picture below for far too long, thinking PRETTY! LOL! Men also grope and scratch their crotch - in public, mind you - Now does that mean you/women are also going to do that too??
  17. Cara.;690903 wrote: You know nothing about my world Sayid. But in fact, I find do it humorous that a man can sleep with 4 different women in the same week and not be considered to be promiscuous in YOUR world, but if a woman leaves one man for another, and does this only once in her life, than she's promiscuous. Self-interest much? LOL@ self-interest much? - yeah probably - till i read the fine print Of course i don 't know anything about your world - except what you post here online - hence why I asked a question - but you are welcome to let me into your world As for what you find humorous - i presume you are referring to the polygamous marriages as prescribed in Islam - since you reference the number 4 (the maximum allowed in Islam at any one time) - preceded by the crude suggestions that it is merely done for sleeping arrangement of the hanky panky kind - instead of the considerate, compassionate, regulated and more importantly with its various benefits to society - as was intended by the One who laid it down as an option provided that those that exercised it as an option met the conditions attached to it. That can never be considered to be or any where near being promiscuous in ANYWHERE in the whole wide world let alone in my little world. Perhaps you misunderstand what promiscuity is, - let just it is far from polygamous marriage - especially one like the Islamic one with rules, regulations, limits and conditions. in comparison this 'Gerewolf' dance reeks of promiscuity - i take it - you missed the following lines?? "You dance Gerewol to try to win a lover, even if it means stealing someone's wife ," says contestant Djao, who met second wife Tembe at a previous Gerewol. " You can marry her, or have a fling with her. " She, too, is on the look-out. " I've spotted three men here that I like ." No stigma is attached to setting aside one's marriage vows at Gerewol whether temporarily or permanently , says Human Planet director Tuppence Stone. p.s. definition of promiscuity: 1. indulging in casual and indiscriminate sexual relationships 2. indiscriminate in selection 3. casual or heedless P.s.s - but i get - waxaagu waa: "Sayid: It doesn't suit women to be promiscuous. Cara: It doesn't suit men for women to be promiscuous" :D

Two weeks ago, as the marketing manager of Zamalek Football Club was driving out of the club, he noticed a man standing outside and arguing with the security guards. So, out of curiosity perhaps, he stopped and asked what the matter was. They told him that the said man claims to be a player for the English team Portsmouth and that he wants to speak to the manager (the great Hossam Hassan). The marketing manager, on a hunch perhaps, decides to help and asks the security guys to let him in. The player started to have his trials with Zamalek on the week starting 24th January (a day before the great demonstrations). The reports at the time were saying that he did not set the world alight and that he was, at best, average! The player's name? No, not Kanu. He claims to be called Ahmed Yusuf and to have played for Porstmouth. Oh, he is also Somali. :D what are you on about??
  19. Samir iyo iimaan to nuuen & AUN marxuumka. Yesterday, an Asian neighbour was getting her shopping out of the car - she put some of the shopping at front of her door and went back to the car to get rest of her shopping - when an opportunistic thief decided to help himself to her shopping - and legged it with two bags. She let out a massive scream;- "HELP, HELP - he is stealing my shopping" - when i opened the door - i saw her - frozen still whist semi shaking - pointing towards the direction the thief went - "the ******* took my shopping" she says as she almost chokes. I look towards the direction she was pointing to and what do i see - an elderly man struggling to run with two shopping bags - about couple hundred meters away. I told her to call the police as I took after him in hot pursuit .......... To be continued......

  21. ^^Sayid the question WAS whether the government CAN use information collected to take away peoples British passports, so maha? The answer is No and it is not connected, nor do they have any legal right to use that information. <<< If this is incorrect tell me know befor eI get people in trouble The bit about yad yad ya is all good and well. There is a campaign going on to write "mind your own **** business on all sections" and due to hoax chain letter that started in New Zealand, 390,000 people entered their religion as Jedi 2001 and so on. My family has always written African, country of birth: somaliland and language Somali, so lets not get all sorts. Bottom line you can write what you wish without fear of being used by the government to send you back. even if there was legal right - they would never pursue it. The only time anyone would be prosecuted - is if they lied to systemically manipulate the system - such as inflating number of householders etxc ...,. other silly things like the political campaign such as the ones you mention hardly matter - their data is invalid anyway. also there is no such thing as country of origin - only place(country) of birth - so people like ngonge would be lying if they put down SL when they were born in KSA.
  22. ^Do you really believe this has nothing to do with politics? c'mon you are not that naive - are you? Haven't you heard of the Somali expression - "Siyaasadaan waa Political"
