  1. By God if we taught Ngonge Af Soomaali in SOL, we can teach XX how to punctuate his writings. Hello everyone - what has been happening since my absence?
  2. ^That is Nuradin Dirie. The whole show was the epitome of embarrassment, if you ever needed to see one.
  3. I must be humourless or the said articles is not what it is billed to be.
  4. The 'unless' bit is what worries me saxiib. I just don't get it thought - every time I think Somalis have turned a corner - it turns out the corner leads back to the same path as before. I mean here we had Somalis of every corner celebrating the fact that Somalis were finally turning corner and were holding conferences and consultation and what not inside their country for once and that this was the way forward. These same Somalis are here now again - this time ululating for the London Conference.

It's a great idea and the one that is morally acceptable but it's not SOMALI and never likely to be implemented in our life times. Marka, again, what hole did Mr Hiil Qaran prick? The logical and reasonable expectations that learned individuals are found in each lineage and although they can from different lineages - they are bound by pragmatism and idea that all Somalis can benefit from working together for bettering each other rather than work against each other - by virtue of them been learned rather than merely being from the right clan.
  6. Going to back on your previous assumption that it would be hard ask to find 100 Somalis respected by other Somalis (majority) - would you accept the opposite - if I were to find 10 Somalis in here (yes in SOL) that are respected by the majority of other Somalis in here?
  7. Why would it not be workable saxiib? let me guess; lineage before the learned?
  8. ^ I can't be but worried for Somalia saxiib, unless you put me at ease and suggest that those three waiters have DDT in those glasses instead of casiir.
  9. NGONGE;787163 wrote: Beautifully written and well argued nonsense. Still, he’ll struggle to find 100 Somalis who are respected by everyone else. He’s mad to suggest that, in today’s Somalia, competence should come before lineage. He’s foolish to assume that the London conference will result in anything approaching this fairytale of his. well argued nonsense you say? I say the good professor's argument has pricked few holes in your infamous modus operandi motto. Having said that I agree with you on the undeniable fact; London conference will not,can not, result in anything approaching the good professor's eloquent and well argued points of getting Somalis to stand up and dust themselves off.
  10. ^No, I do not - I believe in being principled
  11. Not all Somalis are happy with the February 23 London Conference on Somalia. So unhappy are they that they have called A MILLION MAN MARCH for the same day. There are about 10 million Somalis, so I presume about 5 million men. That means one in five Somali men will march on that day if things go according to plan.
  12. The End State of Somaliland! - in other words (for the slow witted ones) This is the state that puts 'the end' to the dreams of Somaliland. On serious note - insha'Allah khayr - hopefully no more blood feuds between brotherly people over non-existent borders and everybody will have their share of peace and prosperity for all.

  16. O Allah! We seek goodness from Your Knowledge and with Your Power (and Might), We seek strength, and ask from You Your Great Blessings, because You have the Power and we do not have the power. You Know everything and we do not know, and You have knowledge of the unseen. Oh Allah! If in Your Knowledge this oil is better for our religion and faith, for our life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then make it destined for us and make it easy for us and then add blessings [baraka'] in it, for us. O Allah! In Your Knowledge if this action is bad for us, bad for our religion and faith, for our life and end [death], for here [in this world] and the hereafter then turn it away from us and turn us away from it and whatever is better for us, ordain [destine] that for us and then make us satisfied with it Aamiin! Insha'Allah Khayr - it is good start to see those that were bad mouthing Cade Muse yesteryear for incompetence; are now falling over one another to praise him - when in fact all praise to due to Allah (SWT).

However, to ask for a ban without researching the consequences is a million times worse than all of the above. Make sense! is norf saying we do not need to do any research about the consequences - as the benefits of it being ban still far outweighs any likely consequences?
