  1. ^^so what do you call individuals who have twisted interpretations of Islam, fundamentalist, Islamist countries (Government regimes that claim shirah Rule) while abusing people, and murdering to maintain their rule. I understand what you are saying, but we must understand that the term "Islamism" exist because there are extreme Muslims, it is not a western invention intended to offend Muslims. There are Muslims who via there actions give the Muslims a bad name. When people can not distinguish between Islam and The actions of individuals, as far as they are concerned Islam is the problem. I personally think it is misunderstanding of the scripture, its legislations and most of all, the implementation of those instructions that is the problem. The direct result is that Islam gets brushed under the table as a backward ideology based on 7th century revelation that is out of touch now. Before someone jumps the bandwagon, i do not and did not support the papers previous actions nor their current story, and i am not justify it, just showing a different perspective. Cheers
  2. Kafaaxiye i must have missed your post. now that i have. i will sit back and watch the fight. can i cheer for a team? Labaoo xxin. i guess you could not contain your self to be polite; your post was so bad that it had to be edited; what can someone like you contribute to ISlam; nothing
  3. Do you guys believe that your behaviour and attitude dos Justice to the teaching of Islam, what makes you guys any better than fundamentalist, and other individuals who twist Islam to suit their purpose. Seeing some of the things posted here makes one ashamed of Muslim people. No one is sinless, and no should claim to be. This thread did not ask for a Islamic insight nor a quote from the quran, nor did it ask for contributions of judgemental individuals who sole purpose is to attack people based on assumptions they formulated from the threads posted by user names. Everyone can find the Islamic perceptive: we have not created mankind and jinni but to worship me. Everybody knows that, we all went to Islamic schools. Xiin. if your insist on being difficult then Do so without mentioning my name, we have nothing to say to each other as we clearly have communication issues. Good bye The rest of you; you are not angels, if you have so much faith in Allah, then trust he knows what we are up to, our intentions and believes, and he will be the judge of that, he does not need you working on his account. That’s the last post i am going to be civilized and polite, lord knows you don't deserve it.
  4. lool Blessed. The farahs seem to be invading you thread. i voted beautiful mind. beauty behind/ waist always disappears, you might get knock down by a car and loose all your teeth, get into a fight, have an accident, or just get old and wrinkly and then what your left with nothing. As for the brains, if you’re smart you will figure out how to get that small waist. On a serious note, i hate beautiful people with no brains, i always get the urge to slap them as soon as they open their mouth  But then again everyone is stuck with whatever they got, (although the gym works wonders) so I should not blame them.
  5. Xiin; i can't read Somali so i have no idea what you said; saayid: Really  please don't fall off your high horse on my account. Thank your luck stars that you have not been in doubt yet, it is usual people like you who do not envisage this happening that do not get back on track. As i said my faith does not need to be justified to anyone.
  6. i like judgemental folks who sit around pretending they are perfect. As for my take on the purpose of life, when i next have time to waste, I will provide my answer, till then do not caste me into hell fire  lool Ahura: P.s. I don't believe anyone has to prove their faith or lack of it, it is an individual choice that has nothing to do with anyone. I also doubt that those of you so called "religious" indivduals sentencing people to hell fire are in a better position that me or anyone else. Everyone goes thought moments of doubts in terms of their faith, even the strongest of Muslims. The behaviour and attitude that some of you are showing does not helps at all and might contribute to people going further away from the deen or afraid to voice their doubts as they fear being labelled and ridiculed. i'm out
  7. wow blessed, thanks sis; this are great now i just have to fill out the forms; lool cheers
  8. Is the purpose of life intrinsic or extrinsic?
  9. ^^why would you be mad at me i don't remember doing anything  i have 6months experience in House of Commons and 1year in voluntary non governmental organisation. so i guess i did do something in those three years i was stuck at uni Ahura i know, just... ScarFace i don't know, depends on what you have to offer
  10. ^^really: says who?? u misunderstood the Q
  11. ^lool Blessed; i know, but there is no time; all i do is study, seven days a week, 24/7; <<<lool yeah right supposedly that’s what i do, it feels like it too. Anyway i don't have the time to look for a JOB now!! With my dissertation still sitting on my desk  sometimes i Think What is teh Bloody Point; it is not like having a degree means much!
  12. i hope you said, feel my dacas farah, you've been cautioned, any further interference will lead to further punishment and permanent inability to reproduced. As for chat up lines, i never chat up people, and no one ever chats me up, so i have no idea what pick up lines sound like!
  13. ^^so you have tried wearing a korgard? @Kafaaxiye in any case i have problems with controlling dirac and korarad at weddings let alone wearing it at home, as for macawis, i hate it on guys, let alone me wearing it. But i don't see anything odd about a women wearing ti, it is just a long skirt, just be careful you don't flash ppl on the street and if you like it why hide it, wear it to the corn shop (it would be a laugh if they were Somali!!, you can take the piss out of them!, yes them!)
  14. thankS, how nice of you. not bad, lool. i know you like to make fun of my engrisi which is fine by me! cheers
  15. ^thats good. not bad. anything in politics or international relations, Third world studies
  16. water; i think i'm on the same boat as you. what on GODs earth i'm going to do when i finish in may, for a whole year before i go back to uni for my MA. i can't stay at my retail shop or can i
  17. i love that PIC^^^^ wonderful, good stuff: BAck to subject: i think as we are already mixed of gOd knows what, Arabs and blacks, so our blood line is weaker than a full black person or white. it is like when a mixed race person has a child with a white dude, the kido looks more white than Black. I have seen Somali kids that are half Somali half Jamaican and they looked more Jamaican than Somali.
  18. The couple were expecting twins, but one turned out to be totally white. The doctors said it was 1 in a million chance as the couple each carry genes of their white English mothers. DAmn if only i was half white, i would atleast have a chance cute kids
  19. baashi; its okay, no rush walaloo thanks all the others: Sayyid ()Qutb thank you there are many hadeeth which suggest that individuals should not have more than they need. this is morally bad in a society when 90% of the population is poor! correct or false? Even if Islam supports individual built up of wealthy, I think if I am correct it is not advice, as people should use the wealth to spend in the way of Allah. There are many hadeeth to support this, right now I only remember one reported in Bukhari "if I had gold equal to the mountain of Uhud, it would not please me that anything of it should remain with me after three nights, except what I would keep for repaying debts" As for Tax, what about Zakah? Although it gives you barakah and hence increases you wealthy, it is the same principle. I am not actually thinking the storage of money, rather, how does Islam Aid economic development. I mean 90% of the poorest countries in the world are Muslim countries which supposedly follow the Islamic law. Is this their fault, or is the progress hinder by Islam? Allamagan Thank you very much for you suggestion. Sharmarkee thank you That book sounds like what I need, I will see if I can get it on Amazon. The qutub brothers have both identified relevant issues which I am currently reading. Sensual_Healing I do not care what kind of Muslim the author is, as long as they are knowledgeable in their field of study, so if their aqeeda is corrupt, but their understanding of finance and shira law is good. I’m not fussed, this is not a judgement of their faith nor is it my job and place, their worship and believe is between Allah and them. However I do understand you concern, rest assure I am not using them to further my understanding of aqeeda or Islamic knowledge. Pi frustrated are you! Cheers ppl
  20. This thread is really revealing some deep secrets of the Somali male self-conception. Guys so hairy that they woulden´t take their shirts off unless they were alone and in dark rooms, and guys whose love-life contains watching a re-run of "freinds"(Jennifer Aniston) or an old Somali flickering "ruwayad" preferably one with loads of "niko". And guys who never dated but other guy's sloppy seconds and even got dropped by th eleftovers. Yet worse, Those kina meek guys who follow girls around like a poppy, jumping at the first best chance to do them a favor or listen to their never ending problems in the hope of that somehow it would lead to sex, are playing experts on US, the real men.  look who is being a (___)
  21. i will appreciate it if you did not take out your day's frustration on me. Don't patronise me please. Maybe i need attention to details but what i am seeing is plain unnecessary rudeness, and in my opinion that is what needs immediate attention! Take a chill pill.
  22. your proof said "Session Expired Your session has either expired or you do not have a valid session." when i followed it. in any case i know i got "some nerves" because i did check the link before i posted my response, and i could not find anything. so PLZ don't bite my head off, i just making an observation not accusing of anything. any cheers for the clarification  EDIT: well sorry i was not trying to mis-lead any1, just pointed something out; anyway whats done is done
  23. ^^hey this is their fornt page: Please Note: It has recently come to our attention that an individual unknown to CARE has been posing as a CARE recruiter and soliciting payment for job placement. The solicitation is in the form of an e-mail that uses an e-mail address of "hr@care-org.it.st" and/or the name "Dr. Jackson Schmidt". If you receive an e-mail with any of these components, or see one posted on a job listings site, please know that it is not from CARE. Also, please note that CARE does not require nor accepts payment of any kind during the hiring process. We also do not make offers of employment to individuals who have not been personally interviewed. i think they got sick of visiting somalis looking for jobs:
  24. again thank you baashi i guess what i am trying to understand is; Islam emphasis the community, and the role of society rather than the individual and their own pursuit of wealth, does this make iSlam is ill-equipped for modern economic development which is built on the idea of individual enterprise and therefore not suited to material progress in this world.
