  16. Lool You guys got jokes. Nuune: Some people may be paranoid, however the two are not connected and generally Somalilander population arrived pre-1996, only the ones after that aya wax kale ku soo galey. The information is not connected or used for that purpose and like any data when it is generated it will be in statistical format only and untraceable to specific families. I too would like to think that we are important enough that we are picked out and traceable via the consensus, laakin tiro coob ciid laguma eryado. North I think you need to apply in advance as a runaway Brit will let you know. Nuune, maxa ii caysa?
  17. On 27th March 2011 all households in England and Wales will be asked to complete the 2011 Census forms. The Census results will be used by public bodies to plan their services to the public. It is important that the Census results reflect accurately the various communities that live in the British diverse society. That is why questions about national origin, ethnic origin, religion ect are included in the Census. There is a campaign to make sure that you record and identify yourself as a Somalilander. The data generated from this census can be useful to us for the next 10years in terms statistical date and predictions for the future- particularly in areas of remittance, micro development, date on age, education and earnings of Somalilands and Diaspora lead development (or lack of them in the future). There is a large community of Somalilanders in the UK and considering they make up to almost 60% of Somaliland's income it is vital and important for practical reason and for academic reasons that we know how many in numbers are here. The 2011 Census gives the Somalilanders an opportunity, please don't just tick the African box and leave it at that. I will post relevant information closer to the time. But for the time being for anyone interested West London Somaliland community is launching their campaign this weekend. Bringing together many organisations and other Somalilanders, including Boon Hirsi, Somaliland Ambassador to UK and representatives of the Somaliland political parties. The campaign event will take place at: Uxbridge College (hayes Campus), College Way, Hayes, UB3 3BB and it will start at 5pm. Give us feed back if you go.
  18. The issues is not whether Somalia Weyne would've been better or would've achieved more and at what expense. We cannot live in buts and ifs all our life, we have to deal with the realities that face us. I cannot take people who use somaliweyne as a reason to insult, degrade, bully and abuse others, somaliweyne ma jirto and it won't with the current environment and attitudes, deal with it. Maybe when you can learn to represent the true sprit of Somaliweyne then it will materialize, but with this level of xassidnimo and hypocrisy it will only get worse.
  19. Horta why is it calaculated from January 26??? Where JB lives the experience has been differen- 15years of okay- getting by and good moments and 5 misery years (intra clan wars and in fighting). He has a cause (SL) and a reason for celebrating which happens to be marked by the same date. Why is that any less important to mark? Or are we only allowed to mark misery and tally up all that we've lost. As a Somali does it not contribute to 0.05% to the good side of the scale? Add Puntiland and you might have a bit more. Is that not the point of basic building that you slowly increase till the next time you mark 20years it is not misery you mark but progress and celebration for more people than the last time. Maan fahminin seriously. This is represented everwhere: the Somalilanders who want to secede but who can't fathom that other tribes and regions might not want to withdraw with them, the Puntlanders who have enjoyed a semblance of progress and peace and can't or won't offer a helping hand to the southern Somalis, going as far as returning those fleeing from fighting back to the hell they escaped. The marauding pseudo-religious militias in the South who can't understand anything but violence and finaly, finaly the useless TFG, resplendent in redundant titles, such as 'president' and 'Minister' of this or that, whilst utterly incapable of offering any kind of alternative to the misery and doom people live in. Hear Hear. thats the long and short of it
  20. Well Jb's Motivation ciidna ma ooga (I assume it is politics and emphasis on remember this is why we left) which is normal for someone who believes in his political position. The threads you should find offensive are IF he posts a 5 store bling bling building in Hargisa next to a bombed out place in Mogdisho- now that is questionable.
  21. Unfortunately pirates have not figured out how to hold cyber sites to ransom get, so we can’t get anymore muggers in here for the time being. Che- hmmmm, waan yaabey when I read your comments but I just assumed wrong side of the report aad qabsatey. Nothing wrong with JB's intentions- he is just trying to remind "his people/ nation" what they should be remembering and why they are better off alone. It is not at anyone's expense so no harm in my view. I object to it because it must be painful for people who went through this to keep seeing pictures and stuff.
  22. Lets not get into fathers iyo waxs, ceeb calakey JB. This forum has lost the ability for memebers to post something in one thread and people read JUSt that only. Here Stoic identity and personalitiy is questioned not the content of that post, JB is apparently still pissed by the other thread and Che is dragging the other thread with him. We need strangers whose positions and points of view we dont know-
  23. JB they only represent themselves, not all Somalis- much like you dont speak for the whole SLers. Plus how you put Che in the same group as Ducanqabiin.
