^^^Johnny Whats with word games? I'm disappointed to be Somali? No i just would like them to get better and stop living in the past and show some sign of improvement. Dabshid: Good, but why teach them about the past? that is gone, teach them to live in the future and make/ shape their future.

^^^I find it rather sad that in order to be proud, I must reach back into history to an ancient civilization and text books, if anything it is a painful reminder of our lack of progression and highlights the backwardness of the subsequent generations. You are also mixing up things here, resilience, spirits and the ability to endure difficult times and pull through intact are qualities/ characteristics I can associate with Somali people. This has allowed them to go through civilian and military governments and civil wars. But these are survival/desperate measures, not something to linger onto. I am not judging Somalis on This difficulties only, they have been having difficult times long before I was born. Denying that we are in trouble and have been for a long time is not going to help us get better. I should not have to live in a library or stick my head in the sand to believe that Somalis as people and as a country/ countries are something to be proud of. Action/ facts speak louder than words (especially empty reiterations) dabshid I hate those who put down our country and people, and feel ashamed to be associated with Somalis, so I am not being dismissive, those rats have nothing to offer us. Some even refuse to speak the Somali language? that is how much they hate us My dear words cannot put a country down, (same way a bunch of people stating that they proud of Somalia does not help Somalia) Somalia is beyond that, it was dragged down by actions and only drastic actions and measures can build it. Being simply proud just makes YOU feel better without doing anything, SO tell me what makes you better than those who are in denial about their identity (or rats as you call them), both are avoiding the problem and not looking for solutions.

Emperor Being proud is different to loyalty, being proud to is a symbol of contentment or happiness at what you see, I’m not happy nor I’m content with Somalia as a country/ countries nor I'm content with the state of the Somali people at all (anywhere in the world). In saying that, don’t get it twisted it does not mean I would like to disassociate myself or sit around wishing I was not Somali, far from it, even if I was not Somali I would still not be happy for Somali’s. Rather is a recognition of our failures, and not busing my self with empty statements "such as I am proud to be Somali" when I can clearly see that there is nothing I can point to back up that statement. Instead we should be so ashamed that we strive to make a change to something that we CAN be proud of, that the generations after can be proud of, not the same sick cycle. Changes do not happen when people are happy with the current state or apathy, change grows out of dissatisfaction/ angry/ frustration etc I do agree that someone cannot choose where they are born or they are born to (stating the obvious here) and no I would not wish to belong to any other. But that does not mean to say that you cannot shape/ change the situation you were born into.

Why shouldn't I be? WHat is there to be proud of?? Answer me that and I will show countless reasons why we should hide our face in shame of what we are, what we've become and this never ending cycle. UK Rose: Now am very proud of my country, I've over come my insecurities, I don't care about the political situation, am just proud of who I am. Nowhere in the world is perfect What makes you who you are as a Somali? and what is there to be proud of as a country (where is the progress, the achievement, the justice, the peace?) Nowhere is perfect, but no one is asking for perfect, staying alive and a bit of food is not too much to ask for, but in Somali even that of next to impossible.

Except when I am light-heartedly joking with sisters, at other times, I am fully aware of the needs and duties that exist between a husband and a wife. Marka, all I say here is said in a humorous manner and should not be construed as reflective of my true character . You hear that ladies, some sense of humour is needed here . Thank you. ^^^I see someone trying to recover some lost admires, AAliya did you hear that! He was joking, lool. Paragon damage control and PR is a little too late dear, already I saw them run for cover yesterday and cross you off

That is ^ not really true, Wearing clothes is not just to cover yourself from what we can see (i.e. people) but also all the shidaans, angels, not to mention Allah can see you, or what if his sight returns suddenly by the will of Allah, or you pass out and die and you are found in that state, or you get carried away and get few other ideas just because he can't see, or you later find out he is partially blind

I think the way she has become is a direct result of the attention lavished on her by the Asian puppets. Seriously if you saw first hand how they treat her, waad yaablahad, cajji. I'm trying not to insult her as a Muslimah, but needless to say there is much room for improvement specially if you hold the attention of so many people, you are accountable for what you teach them, which they will practice.
