Saudi clerics want to restrict women praying at Mecca
Ibtisam replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in General
^^^Uluma can be both men and women. I have no problem with them deciding what constitutes a better plan, I'm just stating what I would like ( If I was to go Hajj, would I like to curse, and push my way through huge inconsiderate men, with the occasional harassment of perverted men, or have my own place to do the same action, same reward with less hassle,) then I opt for the second choice, even if it means a change of what was the norm. lool @in door Kaaba, with no corners. lol Munira in an ideal world yes, but sadly in reality no, you will find those hands, and they will annoy and  so much you will forget why you even went to hajj. -
^^lool BOB: The language police only protects English. There is also a unspoken rule that, making mistakes in Somali is caadi

Are you serious? Why not just stay at home then and not travel that distance. The point is, one should have the right to look, gaze, get killed trying to touch the Ka’ba if one chooses to, it’s the least you can do after having though it through, paid thousands of £s to get there and risked your life. There is a difference between having the right to do, and actually doing it, no one is saying that it is wrong for women to go to the Ka,aab or sinful, what the uluma is saying is that it is proving to be counter productive. After having thought about it for so long, paid thousands of £s to get there, and try and get reward/ sins washed away (which is the soul reason in the first place) it is counter productive and a waste of all your effort and money, if you achieve nothing but sin's or is harassed, and you spend the whole day cursing and killing people in the process to reach the ka, aab. Better you sit at home. The issue is not about what you have the right to, but rather what is rewarding for you and what will make your ceebaad acceptable. To say that women can not be in or around certain places just because they were born female is not only oppressive but insulting to men. Yes, I agree, but they are not saying that, what they are saying is, if you want to do your Hajj in peace, and try get the maximum rewards for your deeds, with out being side tracked or harassed by people who are not here for Hajj, we have devised a better plan for you. This I have no problems with. -

^^You! of all people should be glade for their charitable nature. Male deficit?, really where, I hardly ever see any Somali girls (unless you are in a “women only weddings” everywhere else is full of Farah’s). I think Somali Female deficit is closer to the truth.

^^Might as well, so many of them getting married this summer, they should have one big tacky pre paid wedding, it will be cheaper all around ( one hall, we each only have to buy one outfit to wear, no clash's in dates (so you can be sure everyone will be there (even the ones you do not like), and you will all share one especial day) JAc you and your crazy ideas! shakes head

^^YEp or as they put it: "run", "run faster", and "run like your hair is on fire".

^^I do like the BNP, but when I applied for membership they told me I was too dark to join, they told me if I was a light skin Asian I would’ve had a chance, as long as it does not become public! I don't particularly like the HT (bit dream like, and useless, crazy impossible ideology) but I do not think they are terrorist and should be banned, while the likes of BNP Nick is allowed to run around free!. Can you imagine the whole of the Asian Community is HT, when I was in university, they run the Islamic society, if they were banned, all these maskeen Asians will be locked up. Jac: What do you mean?

In a desperate bid to stem a burgeoning public relations disaster, Nato has issued an open letter to civilians in Afghanistan urging them to "stiffen [their] efforts to get out of the way of Nato ordnance". The letter was published just hours after the latest in a series of misplaced Nato airstrikes that has caused civilian carnage in the war-ravaged central Asian republic. The letter, published in several newspapers in Afghanistan and available on Nato's website, reminds Afghans that "it is [their] civic responsibility to exercise the greatest due diligence practicable in avoiding such bombs, rockets, shells, and other explosive devices as may be inadvertently hurled in [their] general direction." The letter went on to say, "Nato regrets the deplorable lack of effort devoted by Afghan civilians to their own survival, which has substantially contributed to the recent unfortunate series of events." Nato's website offers a series of "handy bomb avoidance tips", including such tactics as "run", "run faster", and "run like your hair is on fire". "Civilians are advised to avoid hiding in structures of any kind, as these may be considered legitimate military targets." However, the website also urges citizens to "avoid the out-of-doors, as fleeing persons may be deemed to be terrorist suspects". The site's webmaster admitted to DeadBrain, "There are still a few glitches, but we're pretty proud of this effort." "This is the most proactive civilian outreach that any military organisation has carried out in human history," proclaimed General Douglas Macarthur Ramsbottom, head of Nato's Collateral Damage Management office, before a roomful of sceptical reporters yesterday. "After this aggressive public safety campaign, we can now safely say that any further casualties will be the responsibility of the wounded or deceased persons themselves." Ramsbottom rejected the suggestion that Nato's careless use of firepower might have contributed to civilian casualty figures in Afghanistan, dismissing the idea as "the whingeing of a few nancy liberal". However, an internal draft report recently obtained by us suggests severe internal debate on this very point has been occurring within Nato. The report, entitled "There is an Enormous Number of Civilians in Afghanistan" , notes that "contrary to all available intelligence estimates prior to the commencement of military operations, Afghanistan is fairly teeming with noncombatants. " The report states that "problems associated with carrying out military operations in such an environment have not yet been fully resolved." In a section entitled "The Way Forward", the report provides a series of recommendations, including seeking a "phased reduction in overall bloodshed to the extent consistent with military objectives". "We had no ******* idea," said an airman who has flown Nato missions, speaking to DeadBrain on condition of anonymity. "Our commander told us that anything on two legs from here to the border is Taliban," the airman said, referring to the extremist group that controls large swathes of territory in southern Afghanistan. "Nobody told us about the ******* villages and the kids and all that." Reaction to the Nato initiative has been decidedly mixed. Afghan President Hamid Karzai applauded the move as "an historic attempt to advance cooperation and understanding between East and West". However, a senior officer in Afghanistan' s beleaguered army dismissed the effort as "sheep shit". Gregory T Mullet, professor of punitive expeditionary thought at the University of Bootle, agreed that the effort "had the aroma of excrement", but was "unwilling to point the finger at any specific ruminant". Paris Hilton was unavailable for comment at press time.

Cameron Says Ban HT David Cameron during Prime Minister's Question Time has vociferously called for the banning of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain. His accusation that Hizb ut-Tahrir calls for the killing of Jews is a crude and superficial attempt to malign the party. John Reid responded from the back benches that the government has reviewed the grounds for banning HTB and have found no evidence for proscription. He also pointed out that a challenge would inevitably be counter-challenged and very possibly fail. As the political temperature has increased in recent days, PMQ's gives us a glimpse of the political discussion ahead. Cameron, egged on by his small neo-conservative cabal persists in his blind endevour to ban any expression of political Islam. The government, on the other hand, sees the promotion of a new form of Islam (an apolitical one) and a desire to win 'hearts and minds' as the way forward. Source: hizb.org.uk So from going to live with Muslim families to this, what do you all think, about HT, banning them, and Cameron views in general.

^^^when you are in Rome, act like Romans. Meesho somalia maah, she cannot run around like she owns the place, I'm sure she will not turn up in maarfash or maakhaad and ask for a seat, and then be surprised that it is only for men. So yes it is fair, in that society that is the norm. She can get her husband/ maaxrum to send the e-mail for her if it is so important or stay in a hotel with Internet access in her room. -
In my case, I'm even a foreigner in my own home! I speak Arabic (usually to myself), the wife speaks Somali and the kids speak English amongst themselves and Somali to their mother (they don't speak to me, they use sign language). What's the main language in your household? lool lool

So what if it is the only place men & women can mix, some sick people have realised this, take advantage of it, and ruined a place made for worship, making it to meeting place for other things. Not everyone goes there to pray and wash their sin's away. Looking at the Ka,aab is not the point, maybe they need to organise women only times, where they can go and look, (if looking I all they want). I believe the reason women are objecting to this because of the wide spread believe that you get blessings from touching it, spraying perfume or it or kissing it repeatedly and crying over it (after they've nearly killed people trying to get there.) Times are changing and it may mean that things have to change to protect the society as whole. I do not think it is something they just felt like doing for the sake of it, the uluma in general are just trying to make things better for everyone in the long run, so that they can do their hijja in the best conditions possible. Ngonge lool, Yes I am. -
I swear you posted this before in the general section, naagto maa naaga bee kaa xaadee, leave her be !

Does it matter how close you pray to the Kaaba? If they are being offered a better place, with better space, without perverted men taking opportunity of the crowd they should be glade. -
