A Letter to President of Somaliland Mr. Riyale, Lord Eric Avebury
Ibtisam replied to Jacaylbaro's topic in Politics
Oi^^ Jac: No thanks, I feel sorry for him, it is hard to please somalis! lol -
There is a difference between commanding the good and forbidding the evil, to what these Mudawains are doing. Beating people to death and terrorising the streets is not "good" now is it. This is abuse of the deen and power that is trusted in them, in the end they become God, more people are scared of being spotted and whipped then leaving actions for the sake of allah.

Acuudu billah. No there should not be a Police like this anywhere! I'm reluctant to call these people wadaad, I can think of few other names for them. This harshness is one of the reasons they are facing so many problems, and why they have so many underground nasty habits which is severely damaging their society. Not only that but these atrocious practices all in the name of Islam, no wonder young people are turning away from strict Islamic practices in these places and yarning for western culture. You cannot be beaten into Islam.

A Muslim cleric is in a serious condition in hospital after being attacked in a London mosque. The Muslim Council of Britain says it is the latest example in a string of anti-Islamic crimes in Britain. The 58-year-old imam, who has not been named, was assaulted at Regent's Park mosque. He suffered heavy blood loss, damage to both eyes, and had to undergo emergency surgery, a Muslim Council of Britain spokesman said. He added: "There is clearly a growing anti-Muslim climate in this country and it has some very worrying implications for all of us. "It is deeply regrettable that sections of our media have been playing a key role in fermenting much of this Islamophobic prejudice and hatred against British Muslims." Advertisement An arson attack on a mosque in Bradford on August 3 is being treated as suspicious by police. Strathclyde Police have also reported an increase in race crime in the west of Scotland since the failed terror attack on Glasgow Airport on June 30. Responsibility for race and community relations was transferred from the Home Office to Ruth Kelly's Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) in May. Forums aimed at tackling Islamophobia and extremism have been established in Leicester, Redbridge and Dudley, with more planned around the country. A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and assaulting a police officer. He has been remanded in custody until August 24 when he will appear at Southwark Magistrates' Court. A Met spokesman said police were keeping an open mind about the motive of the attack. Source: news.sky.com

I saw this on the news ticker of Al Jazeera and found details on their website http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/FAEC4703-83E2-44DA-9DA4-1A7702C354C1.htm Dutch MP calls for ban in Quran A Dutch member of parliament has called for the Quran to be banned in the Netherlands, describing it as a "fascist book" which calls on people to kill non-believers and rape women. Geert Wilders, leader of the far-right Freedom Party, called for the ban in a letter published in De Volkskrant newspaper. In his letter, Wilders compares the Muslim holy book to Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler's autobiography, and said the Quran has "no place in our constitutional state". "I have been saying this for years: there is no such thing as a moderate Islam," Wilders wrote. Wilders' Freedom Party holds nine seats in the Netherlands' 150 seat parliament. Call for ban Wilders also said several chapters in the Quran "call on Muslims to oppress, persecute or kill Christians, Jews, dissidents and non-believers, to beat and rape women and to establish an Islamic state by force". The publication of the letter comes after a weekend attack on Eshan Jami, a young Dutch politician, who established a group to support people who have renounced Islam. Jami, who was not visibly injured in the attack, is now under police protection as is Wilders. "Ban this wretched book like Mein Kampf is banned! Send a signal to Jami's attackers and other Islamic radicals that the Quran cannot be used in the Netherlands as an inspiration or an excuse for violence," Wilders said. Wilders acknowledged that his plan would not receive majority support in the Dutch parliament. "I am fed up with Islam in the Netherlands: no more Muslim immigrants allowed. I am fed up with the worship of Allah and Muhammad in the Netherlands: no more mosques," his letter concluded. Interesting. They won't ban the Satanic Verses but do want to ban the Quran

US Muslim sect suspected of 'executing' newspaper editor For Chauncey Bailey, one of the most respected black journalists in America, last Thursday morning's trip to work should have been like any other. The editor of the Oakland Post was strolling down the pavement in Oakland, a mostly black city next to San Francisco. It was 7.30am and Bailey, 57, lived just a few blocks away. Suddenly, a man dressed in black and wearing a mask appeared. Shots rang out and Bailey collapsed from three bullet wounds. He was dead before an ambulance arrived; the apparent victim of an assassination. Bailey's murder has shocked the San Francisco Bay Area. It has also rippled out into the rest of America as the country comes to grips with the daylight murder of a senior newspaper editor. There is little doubt that Bailey was executed. It was the kind of ruthless murder more likely to be found on the streets of Moscow than northern California. 'This was no random act,' said Sergeant Derwin Longmire, an Oakland police spokesman. Bailey's routine was well-known and it is likely that his killer had been monitoring his movements for some time before he struck. After the shooting, the killer was picked up by a van. The reason that Bailey was killed appears to lie with the secretive and shadowy black Muslim sect in Oakland that Bailey was investigating. A day after he died, a series of dramatic police raids unfolded across the city, aimed at a group of Islamists centred on a business called Your Black Muslim Bakery. The bakery was the centrepiece of a business empire founded by Yusef Bey, a black Muslim leader in Oakland whose followers preached a strict message of Islam and black political power. Bey's followers have long been the subject of intense police and media scrutiny for their alleged use of strong-arm tactics in promoting their business interests and also shutting down stores that sold alcohol. Bey was also stridently anti-homosexual and awaited trial on 27 counts of sex crimes when he died of cancer in 2003. Bailey had written articles about Your Muslim Black Bakery and was believed to be working on further investigations when he was killed. He had recently been making enquiries in the black business community about the bakery's finances. His colleagues also told police he had recently received death threats because of his journalistic work, but had not been specific about their source. The raids ended with seven arrests and the discovery of a cache of weapons and ammunition. Police said initial findings had linked some of the weapons to Bailey's case. 'The search warrant yielded several weapons and other evidence of value linking the murder of Chauncey Bailey to members of Your Muslim Black Bakery,' said assistant police chief Howard Jordan. Jordan said the raids had been part of a year-long probe that was investigating charges of murder, kidnapping and other crimes. Earlier deaths have been associated with Your Black Muslim Bakery. In 1994, members of the group threatened to kill white police officers investigating an alleged beating meted out to an Oakland resident. When Bey died, his handpicked successor disappeared. His decomposed body was found six months later. One of Bey's sons was shot and killed last month. A simple shrine of flowers and notes now marks the spot where Bailey died. There is a large stuffed bear and poster boards for people to leave messages. His death has stunned colleagues and ordinary Americans who are unused to the murder of journalists. The last reporter killed in America 'in the line of duty' was a photo editor in Florida who died as a result of the anthrax postal murders in 2001. Bailey's colleagues are still struggling to come to terms with his death. 'I'm still thinking I'll run into him downtown, wearing a suit on his way to cover this event or that meeting, reporting the news of the black community,' said columnist Brenda Payton Observer

^^You are still confused even now, admite it dear Ghanima, the stories and myths of a child’s tribe, although not very important, are only part of an education, but most of all it is immensely empowering, confidence-building, survival tool that only be useful within the Somali community. empowering to who and how? confidence building, are you kidding me, what if you are from a really small clan that everyone hates? is that confidence building and empowering? and it will not contribute to your survival at all. Pardon me for asking, miss, but you seem to know alot for your young-age. How is working for you so far? What are the pros and cons? who me?

Dashid: ^^How contradictory, You say you have no idea who wrote it and in the same breath cast it as poor attempt of the secessionists who tired to dismember somalia lool Allaho noo saal. My other comment was to the fella with similar names as you, for a while I thought you guys were the same. Geel jire I expect better than that from you to draw a comparison, the history for Palestine is a lot longer than the last 50years. The only similarities I can see is the clan lines (which is the case with all Arabs). Assassinating of leaders were only the product, it is not the cause nor can it be blamed for their current situation. Somalis invited foreigners to their land, after they have been in constant war and turmoil for years.

I know Pakistanis and Iranians have the "Sayed" link who apparently descend from the Prophet (PBUH), but I have not seen a Somali clan who claims any link to the prophet (PBUH) as yet. It is a known fact that the organ of Somali's have nothing to do with Arabs (unless some Arabs, particularly Egyptians, originated from us) Other than the ISlam factory, Somali does not share much with the Arabs. As I understood, we are of the same family as the eastern Cushites or Berberi

Dhubad Please iska Amus if you do not know what you are talking about, it is highly offensive to dismiss their struggle and history like that, just so you can justify Somali bleak history. How did you arrive at the conclusion that "Palestine sold their country just like we are now" If Somalis endure half of what Palestinians endure we would be slaves by now. O please, you are killing me, You and "Me" are going to save somalia Qoosal baadan daaku  even he should laugh at that.
