In a Land of Homemade Names, Tiffany Doesn’t Cut It
Ibtisam replied to Caano Geel's topic in General
^^^Loool. I like the name, but like you I'm having second thoughts. Originally posted by Paragon: Bloody hell. Just imagine trying to smooth-talk a woman and introducing yourself; 'hello sweet thing, how are we doing this fine day, eh?' (stretching your hand out to her) ' I am NeverTrustAWoman, whats yours?' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With lines like that I think your name would be the last worry Ghanima glad to have raised a chuckle HAHAH Loooool @the brother needs help! Lool. HEHEhe, HAHA. -
In a Land of Homemade Names, Tiffany Doesn’t Cut It
Ibtisam replied to Caano Geel's topic in General
looool HAHa this is well funny. I guess it makes better sense than naming them after cities and fruits. I have a friend named Jupiter, oddly he is not even African. He is from Finland  Thanks CG that made me laugh. -
^^You can say that again. I don't need this kind of nacnac following me around the threads. Issh Skipper: Ghanima i dont know how old you are but i am convinced that if you were 20 something then you would have known whether the fella was somali or not, without him talking to you in the first place. Or has the world gone too deep into globalization that we dont seem to regocnize a farax and a xalimo from say a british or cuban? By the way did he spoke to you in english? And was his english so fleunt that you doubted whether he was a somali or not? I went in a somali chat room the other day and i got taken aback by something a somali girl said. She was chatting to this farax and he said something that made her angry and her response took me by a suprise, She said "Jesus christ" She was the most stupidest i ever encountered, she had the marks of unintelligent person stamped all over her. Finally the somai parents are paying the price of not raising their kids ina muslim enviroment. Kahab habiyaaaaa.I rest my case I love your selective reading, I said he looked East African, What on earth has that got to do with British or Cuban??? And yes we spoke in mainly English and a bit of Arabic, which kind of made me think he was Eretrian or Somalia. What is the big deal anyway, and what has it got to do with my age? Admit it you just want argue for the sake of it And what has the chat room conversation and your judgmental impressionist of a female username got to do with this?. And further more I was raised perfectly well, thank you very much in a non Muslim environment. How strange you based all those ridiculous assumptions on me doubting the identity of a stranger. Yet you have the audacity to label other people as unintelligent, ****** and ignorant. By the way what did you do in this situation other than sit there and continue with your chat, did you attack her and tell her she is ignorant, unintelligent and ******, or did you speak to her nicely and tell her why YOU thought she is at fault, or are you just spitting dust days later.? Finally you can express yourself all over the place and go off on a rant, but not at my expense. Idig baan kuu inayho.

^^^Maxaad kuu qoosli?? Qoosl garir baan kuu oodan. People shaqaalaan baadan. LayzieG: Get a life and get off my radar, I have no interest in addressing you, get the picture darling. Ciyaal suuqnimad iska daa and stop hiding behind others, your comments are boring and pathetic. If you are trying to attract my attention or have something to say there are easy ways of doing it, without making a spectacle out of yourself. Seriously I'm sick of your bullshid, and from this point on I'm going to tell you where to get off. Skipper waan kuu soo nooqon

^^Better still get as many people to e-mail the editor, expressing the same concerns. Two complainants don't really rock the boat. If you run/ part of an organisation send it out from the organisations e-mail account. Inshallah I will do that later today. He would not be able to get away with this kind of ill researched piece of trash had it been about any other community. Hundreds of e-mails and calls would have flooded in, and although he would maintain the same view (as it stems from bitterness), he would at least try to hide it next time to avoid the hassle. P.s. Can you post/ PM you final draft to me, so I can shape mine along the same lines, as I have a tendency to go off on a rant.
-
^^^^A noble idea, better to start somewhere than no where and it has to be done eventually. Personally I would not mind doing a few hrs. Val: Inshallah I hope you do It is hard going back to being a poor student, and the longer you are away the harder it is. Thanks everyone

^^^They are Somali like everyone else, the have a hometown and everything and most identify themselves as Somali so who are we to say they are not. It is like the suujis are not Somali or the Somali Yemenis. P.s. Not all Baravanis are of the same origin. P.s.s. Congrats and well done to him. I agree there should be some sort of organization that looks out and supports gifted ppl in our community.

^^lool^ Ghanima walashis how logic is that? The fella offered you dates and you think he is somalian? The equation doesnt add up. I didnt realize before tonight that SOL had their own version of Jose Maurinho. I'm sorry I don't get what you are trying to say, maybe you can say it without the implied package? What is so illogically about another Muslim offering you dates (by the way this is Tamrah) to break your fast. Did you expect me to interview him after refusing his tamrah  I guess I could've said "no thanks.....waar maa somali baad taahee" and see if he answers Neph: No I did not, he gave up and got off the bus few stops before mine.
-
^^WHo? Serenity they lied, I saw his pic hehe

Loool @Dabshid, busted indeed! HAHA North, now why would you suggest I'd miss lectures. I'm a good student. I always go to my lectures, especially when you are paying and arm and an leg for it, I make sure I bug them in their office hrs too!

As far as I'm concerned ALL Men "are wild animals, who just cant control themselves" But farahs waa iido aadaadgyihiin *ducks** P.s. Before you start asking about my male family members, they are not included, nor are my friends, workmates, teachers, or anyone I know, just the strangers
-
^^My God Ngonge this is beyond a joke! P.s. don't you think you should get it treated?? I can help you get the relevant treatment if you want? Where on earth do you find these pictures, and why do you go out of your way to expose yourself to these kind of pictures when you already have a phobia!
-
Full time, 5days a week, they have spread all my lectures and seminars around  Why? are you still considering doing it for me?
-
Poverty can drive you to do things that normally you would frown upon. They have families and they cannot do another decent job. I won't be too quick to condone them, further more I am not surprised that they are trying to justify it Islamicly because it easies their own conscious. Many of us do this when we sin (i.e. I mostly pray, or I don’t wear fitted clothes and I wear a long jacket, or a wig/hat instead of a Hijab, or Allah knows I’m good etc) I just feel sad that extreme poverty can drive people to such actions. If anything the blame lies with those who are using this service, demand and supply, if no one used this service they won't be able to do it.
-
Loool @ Ngonge. Farah's should not be able to follow your perfume trail, causing them to look at you and desire you. It is all about making their life's easier and saving yourself from the hassle and danger. Like Pucca mentioned it has been likened to committing zina, so try avoiding it outside your home. Failing to do that, moderation is the key. I cannot imagine using the London underground without burying my face in scent, but at the same time, unless someone made it their business to sniff me or something, I don’t leave a trail. As a Muslim you should have a pleasant smell, cleanness and fresh look, you should not look like you slept outside in your clothes and people kuu diibsaatan maaha because of your smell (good or bad)
