^^He was so old, I did not want to be rude! I can never be rude to old ladies and Oodeyaasha, it is a normal thing for them, and it is too late to change them. Pluz he means no harm.

Malika! Your Somali was very bad and he did not understand. or as Jb said he works for the government I got on the train today, this old G told me my bag was open, and how this country people waa saqaajaan and would taking things out of my bag. I agreed and then he told me he just came back from Hargisa (safe place, yad yad ya) Then he said he built three houses, and brought two jaago (land slots) and he has three houses here, one for him and two of his grown kids. I was sitting there thinking, erm OK then atheer. Wish I had a dad as rich as you, but why you telling me this. Then he told me he's been in the country for 51yrs, then he said are you from Burco or HArgisa, I told him, then he said are you Clan this or that, I told him, then he said so what are you, so I told him, and then he said THAT is NOT part of clan that, it is a clan on its own. I just changed the topic, then he started to tell me about my clan, and old seamen he knew from my clan, then it got scary, because he said who do you live with, I told him, he said I know him, I went to see him yesterday. Then he told me, you are from a very good family and clan. I was thinking should I say thanks?? I'm not going to be friendly to any old men again! FBI.com. He got off at Liverpool street and I went back to my book. Oh he told me his fully name, clan and how many kids he has. Wait till I get home

^^I have not figured out how to load a leaflet onto SOL. Apprently I have to host it on a site as SOL would only accept URL links. I will load it I'A. Please do attend, I expect all SOL girls (UK) to attend. As for the other issue, I understand that they need money to administer projects, but I think it makes sense to go through charities if you are raising significant funds, but if the amount is already small, cutting into it makes it even smaller. I am not criticizing admin fees chubacka, but Islamic relief is known for spending more money than most, Helping hands/ Muslim aid use far less on overheads. Although Islamic relief events are better (for example the fundraising Iftar for Palestine in they did two weeks ago, they spent £1,800 on the hall alone! But the event was so well organized and planned, and everything looked so nice) Not to mention it was targeted at the high Arab earners and film/ soap industry (i.e. they raised a lot of money, and had to deliver a class event) Anyway I found two small Somali developmental organizations; One of them is Somali development & Relief fund which is fundraising for an orphanage School in Kismayo and the other is for a girls Orphan school in Hargisa, I’m waiting for the details on the second one.

^^You are moving to Bethnal Green  JB sounds great, maybe if they work together they will get more done, instead of doing the same thing small scale. How much for ticket. I'd love to go, but I know the place will be packed with Somali men. It is like walking into a maqaxi. Can they do a little sitaard for me, like we use to do for the maacliin back in the days?? -

AAliyah I feel like you are contradicting yourself in your answer. So lets take examples. I, ibtisam decide to become a doctor for example. I go to college, 10years of university, 2yrs newly qualified training. I have 31K in student loans to pay off at the age of about 29. If, I then decide to have a kid (or two) and I quite my new position. How is that logical or normal or wise, or cost effective?? After 2.5yrs of non-practicing, I cannot no longer go back to work as a doctor, unless I undertake further training. IS that not a wasted career, money and effort? BtW; My wonderful, really nice husband is a bus driver.

**Sitting and watching CL and AAliyah. This should be good. Not on the point of the debate but I have a question for Aaliyah, which is if you would kindly answer. 1) So considering that in your view women should give up their jobs/career at the drop of baby/ husband as she is the "caregiver" (rather than the one with less important/pay/ promotion career as CL is arguing) Then should girls invest less time, effor and money on picking and building a career? As following your answer logically and when kids arrive, she has to give up. Should girls pick careers that only take a few years to qualify or allow you to start and stay on a decent (but not great) wages. Should their career be a waiting room for until they get married? I would be very interested to hear your answers. Meantime I'm waiting for CL reply to Aaliyah.
