  1. ^^^And the song!!! Someone did not believe me when I tried to tell them that. They got very upset when I asked for the blue flag and anthem back IF the 26th was all about Somaliland, it is only fair we keep whoever celebrates the 26th keeps the flag and song.
  2. Okay I understand. Che, I saw some people who were very very upset on the 26th June, that makes no sense to me either.
  3. ^^^ Or maybe I am just more diplomatic about it .
  4. ^^^Lets not play games yeah, you implied it. I will have you know that while I refused to take a Somali flag as a present, I still wore blue and white out of respect.
  5. Did you just call me a hardcore qabilists??
  6. Marx, that's how you come across, so yes you do need to take it easy, and you don't need to shove Somaliland down people's throats all the time. Don’t blame me for picking up on the image you portrait, if it bias or preposterous, then you need to portrait yourself differently, so you don’t come across as such rather than jumping down my throat. There has always been a tendency to hijack these well intended events by people with pre-mediated evil interest. Paragon, your display of nationalism on the 1st of July was both reckless and unnecessary. This was an event for young people who have no attachment to Somalia and its messy politics. Very nice picture btw. The Event was planned on purpose for this date, so it was not hijacked, flags was being given out as presents. Again you misunderstood, the event was intended to give Somali children a connection to their Somali identity, so while it has nothing to do with politics, it is part of an outreach program to better connect children to families and relatives who still remain. The price money was $100 to their families.
  7. Marx there were many people from the north helping out and some of the sponsers. Sometimes it is just about the kids rather than politics. Try to understand yeah. The flag thing and whole July first went over my head to be honest, but the kids were happy and had fun, everyone was fed and had a good time. It was nicely done.
  8. ^^^Your brave dude. Well Done Sayid for all your work and effort on the day and in general for the community.

  12. In a disturbing development, the problem of Piracy appears to spreading beyond the horn of Africa. This time pirates, referring to themselves the Israeli Navy, have hijacked an aid ship enroute from Cyprus to Gaza and taken its crew hostage. The Spirit of Humanity of the Free Gaza Movement was captured by the pirates after they threatened to blow it up and forcibly took the boat and abducted its passengers taking them to Israel against their will. The boat was in International waters when it was hijacked and is the 3rd such incident of piracy in the Mediterranean. Amongst the passengers who were abducted is Cynthia McKinney a former US Congresswoman and Presidential Candidate and former Nobel Laureate Mairead Maguire. The boat was carrying essential humanitarian & relief goods for Gaza's civilians who have been enduring collective punishment at the hands of Isreal, which has enforced an illegal blockade of the Gaza Strip for more than 2 years. This crippling blockade has denied the Palestinian people of Gaza access to essential humanitarian goods and brought grinding poverty to the Strip. 17. A&T, everyone has some good in them, that the good and leave the bad. I think this thread will only provide sins for you and daambi daaf for him. Is you something to say to him or need clarification, contact him and give him nastixa, otherwise it is backbiting. I don’t know who this guy is or how sincere he is, but culmas have a high place in Islam, failing that even as a Muslim individual, he has rights over you, so harm ha uu geesin and bad mouthing him.
  18. ^^LOL Aaliyah, good luck with everything and life inshallah. You were annoyingly sweet and innocent, which made it hard for people like me to be mean. Caafis iyo saamax, I hope inaanad caado kuu maaqnaney. What can I do to make you stay? I think the forum needs some positivity, sweetness and even innocents to dilate the cynical oldies that have made it their dent- so please stay. Anyway may Allah be with you and guide you.
