People, there is no clip, so I am sorry I can’t PM you any link, don’t bother PMing me to ask for it on the down low, because I don’t have it, it does not exist. It was on reapeat for a whole day, and I missed it and did not tape it, nor did anyone else. Here is what really happened: I Was on universal TV, but this was 3weeks ago, not this Friday as A&T alleges. At the time of recording, me and Juxa had a discussion about it on the Troll corner, which even Fu-fu participated. A&T happened to have read that exchanged, waited a few weeks and then decided to capitalize on it with this over sensationalized claim. I would’ve believed him if it was not for all the talk about people standing next to me (I was alone) and the thing about yellow ears/ lipsticks in the clip, since there was no one BUT me in the clip, the rest does not need to be disproven. Lastly A&T thought he could scare me by offering to describe me, and then saying you have high cheek bones (errr no shid Sherlock, I am Somali, did not get much choice about them I am afraid) The Siren, you are kidding right??? I would not be shocked to learn we are related, not at all.

KK: The girl was gangster, modern day Xalimo taking her own destiny in her hands. Dabshid: Plagiarized is in copied theme, hook, lines or do you mean it is an offshoot of another story. If you mean its copied fully, then please provide the source it was copied from, don’t just throw a statement out. Also can I say that if the “original” work was written then even if the story line is the same, it is not plagiarism, it is called using written novels as inspirations. If you mean it has similarities or is a spin off of the same theme then I am sorry but your atheero cannot OWE themes He just owes his lines/ work as it is, providing the movie does not copy his script, they are good to go. For example if the original story was rich with poetry, suugan and purely lovey dove story, while this one explores themes of independence, generation gaps and perceptions of love, are they then a contrast or copy?? Does the lack of richness, poetry take away from a movie intended to be funny and entertainment? Movies do not have the same expectations as the written word, nor do they need the same build up. Understand that, and hold those shades to the side brother. Paragon: Normally you are cool clam guy, but I guess the source is too close to home for you not to throw your toys out of the pram huh Now stop being a child and read what I said above to Dabshid. Either of you is welcome to inform us of the story line of your atheero, those of us who has seen this movie will make our own comparison and let you know if we think it is plagiarized or not, BUT maskaxad ha naaga kaajiin by dictating to us, without giving us prove. Tell us what was copied, aside for the names of characters, which are common enough names, not copied right to anyone. On a general notes can I say Somalis are their own worst enemy, seriously xaasidnimo.com, must we always bring other people down, yes this movie is not on the same scale as multibillion pound Hollywood movies, but we shouldn’t expect it to be, they are just starting. When Ali & Awrala 2 come out, we can see some improvement.

I watched a somali movie the other day with a friend. I got the film as a gift from one the SOL brothers [so Thank you brother] Anyway so is about a love story involving two Somali youngsters who hail from contradicting backgrounds, she is rich and gets driven around and he has a fruit/ veg stall in the market and from a disliked clan of some sort, a *******i. The spoken somali in the film is very hard and complicated, a great way to learn something new. Below is a short synopsis: The film Ali and Awrala, is about a love story involving two Somali youngsters who hail from contradicting social backgrounds .Ali (the main actor of the film) is a penniless youth from a poverty stricken home that strives hard to keep body and soul together, whereas, Awrala the girl Ali loves is thoroughbred lass who hails from a well-heeled household in which prosperity beggared description. Her father, a wealthy man called Hajji Raage appears to be a proud braggart who holds no brief for the people who belong to the lower class of the society. Besides, he is a bigoted “clannish” full of superannuated prejudice and foggy ideas about clans and tribes. As a parent, he appears rigid and authoritative, the kind that struggles to control and influence the feeling of all members of his household. He is supercilious, insensitive, extremely unyielding. The story reaches the climax with things going haywire. This is when Hajji Raage learns his daughter’s love affair. He simply blow his stacks when he learns the social status of the man his daughter loves. He literally goes through the roof when he at length discovers the young man’s clan. WHY? He discovers that the man his daughter loves belonged to a derided clan called *******, disallowed socially to marry from his supposedly superior clan. For the proud Hajji Raage, that could simply not happen! How? . A *******, of all people? His daughter loved *******? Impossible! To correct the situation, he strives hard to thwart his daughters love ambition. He embarks on the ventures. He is not in short of helpers however, his sons, his nephews, his kinsmen: all are ready to help him right the wrong to make Awrala’s aim impossible. On the other hand Awrala maintains Her ground. She persists and demonstrates a rare audacity in going against the grain: in going against what was socially considered to be an obligatory filial duty; to obey parents. Yes! She loves her father. But she is under no obligation to love for him. She wants Ali. She loves Ali. She adores him and she must get him! Ali on his party does great things. With great guts he opposes the poverty-instilled timidity. He shows a strange resilience in pursuit of his loved one. And does the seemingly impossible- risking in the process – to gain and maintain his goal of life- the love of Awrala. But Hajji Raage, on the other hand, is not a man easily shooed .He uses every thing at his disposal to thwart what he considered impossibility .His precious daughter love for destitute *******! Of all people a *******? Impossible! For him love does not count, it does not exist. The feelings of a confused daughter are not important. The dignity o his family is paramount and must be guarded at all cost. Even if, it hurts the feelings of his beloved daughter. With a haughty contempt for what he considered absurd relationship, he attempt to marry off his daughter to a worthy suitor-one of his well-born nephews, a cousin of hers and a playboy with fat pocket. Can love be bought? Will the proud father and his bigoted henchmen succeed in their scheme? Will Awrala at length succumb to their wishes or she will strut, ignoring their bleating to achieve her goal? Will she burry her love Ali and obey her father? Between the poor on sufferance boy and the rich playboy, whom will she choose? See it for your-self. Here The Somali Movie industry is starting to grow, hopefull to much bigger and better things. How far before we have our own Somali-wood lol

Organic food gives no health benefits to consumers, according to research for the Food Standards Agency published today. Shoppers pay more for organic fruit, vegetables, chicken, beef and milk but the food gives no nutritional enhancement to people’s diet. The watchdog stopped short of advising consumers that buying organic produce was a waste of money but its message was clear: choosing to eat organic food will make no important difference to a person’s overall health. Eating a healthy balanced diet is the only important thing, the report concluded. The research — the first and biggest study undertaken of scientific papers published in the past 50 years on the health and diet benefits of organic food — will come as a blow to the organic food industry, which is now worth £2.1 billion a year in Britain.. The findings, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, also threatens to put the FSA on a collision course with organic champions such as the Soil Association. The £120,000 year-long study by a team from the London School for Hygiene and Tropical health was headed by Dr Alan Dangour, a public health nutritionist. His team identified some differences between organic and conventionally produced food but concluded that they were not sufficiently important to make any difference to a person’s health or give nutritional benefit. Dr Dangour said: “There is more phosphorus in organic food. Phosphorus is an important mineral but it is available in everything we eat and is not important for public health. Acidity is also higher in organic produce but acidity is about taste and sensory perception and makes no difference at all for health. “A small number of differences in nutrient content were found to exist between organically and conventionally produced crops and livestock but these are unlikely to be of any public health relevance. “Our review indicates that there is currently no evidence to support the selection of organically over conventionally-produ ced foods on the basis of nutritional superiority.” He made clear, however, that he had not looked at pesticide and herbicide residues in food produced by organic and conventional farming methods. The study also did not seek to compare the taste of the products. The FSA insisted that it was neither pro nor anti-organic food and it recognised that there were many other reasons why people chose to eat organic — such as concern for the environment and wildlife, higher animal welfare standards and stricter rules on use of antibiotic medicines in animals and pesticides on crops. Gill Fine, the agency’s director of consumer choice and dietary health, said: “Ensuring people have accurate information is absolutely essential in allowing us all to make informed choices about the food we eat. “This study does not mean that people should not eat organic food. What it shows is that there is little, if any, nutritional difference between organic and conventionally-produ ced food and that there is no evidence of additional health benefits from eating organic food.” Peter Melchett, policy director at the Soil Association, admitted that he was disappointed by the conclusions but said that he was confident that consumers would make their own minds up. “The FSA has always sated there was no scientific evidence to show organic food was better for health than conventional food. But it has not stopped the growth of the market. Some 8 per cent of shoppers are regular users of organic food and they do so for a variety of reasons. As far as FSA advice is concerned people tend to use their own common sense.” He was adamant that five-year research work funded by the European Commission and due to be published next year would show that organic food was beneficial to health. He also challenged the conclusion by the researchers that the nutritional differences found in organic and conventional foods were not important. “Consumers will decide for themselves,” he said. I always knew it was a money making Scam for poor sods who fall for it.

My edo is also from that school. she thinks bullying and putting someone down will make them want to proof her wrong and achieve better. I don't think I have ever heard her say Well done, or congrats or very good, or even good.
