All credit to this reporter for highlighting the plight of our children. This sort of suffering are common across the country. I think the Somalilanders in the west spend too much time showing people pictures of those who are fortunate enough to have blush villas and acres of land. Instead of bragging and pushing underground those who are weak. Part of progress and development is dragging everyone forward, not the rich getting richer and the poor forgotten. This is one of the reasons I could never support any political entity that spends so much time chasing approval outside of its borders- while it’s most vulnerable slowly starve. Until we deal with our most vulnerable with mercy and love, and try to raise the oppression that we currently ignore, Allah will also ignore us and keep us humiliated. Subxanallah recognition will not change the lifes of these people, humanity and common support at a community level is what is needed.

I need a male free environment. After next week I am going to have a human free environment. Should I throw a party or sleep for three weeks and enjoy the lack of humans walking around with their big foot sounds.

Dispatches investigates one of the most powerful and influential political lobbies in Britain, which is working in support of the interests of the State of Israel. Despite wielding great influence among the highest realms of British politics and media, little is known about the individuals and groups which collectively are known as the pro-Israel lobby. Political commentator Peter Oborne sets out to establish who they are, how they are funded, how they work and what influence they have, from the key groups to the wealthy individuals who help bankroll the lobbying. He investigates how accountable, transparent and open to scrutiny the lobby is, particularly in regard to its funding and financial support of MPs. The pro-Israel lobby aims to shape the debate about Britain's relationship with Israel and future foreign policies relating to it. Oborne examines how the lobby operates from within parliament and the tactics it employs behind the scenes when engaging with print and broadcast media. I have a question to ask the married folks- particularly the men. Where are they today.

^^^Lol I have not seen any lectures by Khat chewing Somali sufis, but they are credited with spreading Islam in most of Somalia- albit including some fabricated and at time shrik behavior. Do check out those two from Hamza Yusuf thought.
-
JZK AbuSalman. I would also suggest "Purificaition of the Soul" by Hamza Yusuf. Even though it is said he is a sufi, the content of the book along with his video "Remembering the days of Allah" is sound and very powerful. Generally Sufis are very good and effective on that side.

CL All I remember clearly is you saying I cannot go "aaah" to a farah who looks down my throat If you can reject someone on a shallow reason of being Somali, then others are free to reject based on gender. After all that I might end up having to translate for that old man. Shiid, the agency said too late notice. Juxa try applied Languages next time. The best translating services there is. And they should be, they charge £50 for one hour.

I told her Ciidihiin are not my favourit people right now, so ii daaf for your own safety and call sayid.

CL If I remember correctly, you once walked out of your dentist because your regular dentist was out and a farax had replaced him. Please sheego ha ii diisin now. You won’t show your teeth to a farah who says say “aaah” let alone anything else. So let’s no argue for the sake of it. I sent her an e-mail saying we would like to come on this day, is that okay if so is this time okay. She never replied, so we did not go. What does she want from me.

This is so disturbing. My little 8year old niece had a similar conversation with me last year revolving around this area. Her: Habo don’t you like kids Me: Sure, why do you ask? Don’t you think I visit you guys often enough. Sorry hun, but you guys live so far and after work I’m normally beat- plus you can always visit me Her: No no it is not that, I just wondered why you and Xalimo (her other habo who lives with them) won’t get married. Me: What? Her: Well I though it is maybe because you don’t like kids Me: err Her: Continuing…. I am going to have my kids as soon as I finish secondary school Me: WHAT? You will be 16!! Her: I know, but I know what I want to do when I grow up! I am going to have kids and look after them. Her sister (15): I want to be a doctor, so I am not planning to have kids. I am going to work really hard, save lots of money and hire help when I get old and retire. 8yr old: *making a face* That is so sad. I can’t wait to have kids, I’ve been thinking of names. Me: I storm into the kitchen where my sister is making food while following the conversation; What the hell have you bee teaching these kids? Mum: *Laughing, she goes: you should hear the eldest boy (16) He reckons he is going to have four wives- none of them Somali*

^^I felt like she was breaking up with me after a long relationship. Her: I don't know Ibti, me and you and Juxa were good together and we really understood each other, and our ideas were perfect, but then suddenly you are both playing games with me and you don't value you me no more, you don't call me or visit me, juxa does not take my calls, and when she does she tells me I'm busy for two weeks call Ibti. why Why has it all gone wrong and why are we now like this, don't you like me no more- if not you should just tell and not mess me around. What have I done wrong? Did I upset you....................grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

^^CL warerey bey uu dalatey! have you not heard? Juxa your lady called me two times at 9.30pm on friday night and Thursday  I could not get her off the phone and the second time she attacked me and my character.

Bud la garey but what the hell is Qarsho?? Whatever it is I got it with me, along with torri if you dare speaking about pictures on the wall for any of the girls. Juxa I cannot believe you are helping this madness of picture collection.

^^^That is rich coming form a man who keeps a shortlist and a wall of pictures What do your eyes care about their kibir or have to do with liking them. Don't confuse the emotional or rational response to them with the response generated by your eyes.

To prefer one above the other is downright unacceptable. CL while I agree that there is no shame when it comes to health or knowledge, a the same time- if there is an alternative available and you have the choice then why put yourself in an uncomfortable situation. There are certain things that another man or women can express for your better. For examples, if you was in France and needed a translator for PMT at your local surgery or had a Gynecology appointment, you would first try to get a female doctor (for your comfort and examination purposes) and secondly get a female translator to express your concerns.

I thought we fast for 9 days and the 10th day is Eid so we don't fast?. Thanks for the reminder- I was aiming for Thursday- calendar must be wrong. For those who cannot fast all 9 days, make sure you fast the day of Arafah or three days (including Arafah)
