  10. I need a break from humans, and telephones, computers, pen and paper, cash points and TV. I want to live in a cave, and drink water from a flask, sleep on a rug, have one change of clothing, some reading material and basic food.
  11. ^^^Not sure- but Southhall has colourful variety. I have lots of things to say today- but I can't, I just don't feel like saying it, like the words can't be bothered, nor can I be asked to generate sounds. So I am ignoring everyone, I've also been spending e-mails and txts rather than calling or answering people. I want to go to one of those far away lands- where you only see humans every 30-40days for one hour. Maybe I should go to the miyi for a while.

  16. ^^Family is different to some chick who is visiting you in your house. I don't expect girls who visit me to clean my kitchen- let alone if I were I guy!! Juxa Johnny wants to marry her- so that whole why buy the cow when the milk is free might not work. I guess he wants the meat CL not only sujui girls- I wish it were all girls. I still think it is a fab idea. If I don't see you post next week- I know you are dead. P.s. CL is here- ask her. I know she too likes my idea.
  18. Oh she is sujui- from where We must ask the experts, it might mean something back home. Maybe she is scared you will poison her? or maybe she wants you to get use to seeing her in your kitchen- so she can poison you. Look around your cupboard- maybe she left the deadly mix in there for next time. I like this idea.
  19. ^^^Lily I don't think she is the typical somali. Johnny, I don't know, for those that you run into seem to be a different kind of breed- missed the whole somali experience by a mile- don't u agree
  20. ^^Guess even she had some standard, did not want to sit in the middle of dusty sitting room and eat from dirty dishes.
  21. ^^^You missed the point wiil cusub. The point is that they are NOT so different, and it was not so long ago that they too were in the middle of war. It is the impacts of war that they are dealing with, just like somalia, just on a smaller scale. As for NGOs- It is not NGOs job to do the work and provide services to the population. It is ridiculous to suggest that SL job is to highlight that they are different and then NGOs will flog to solve their problems for them. It would be appropriate to show that they are not the sameby raising the standard of living for people who can’t afford to do it on their own, then they won’t have to make so much noise- it would just be a case of the evidence speaks for itself. Right now they are just trying to capitalize on the fortune of people who did it on their own by pointing to four story blocks and hotels. How about that for chick and egg clue.
  22. ‘Jon Mendelsohn, a former chairman of LFI [Labour Friends of Israel] and now Gordon Brown's chief election fundraiser, was quoted in the Jerusalem Post as saying that "Zionism is pervasive in New Labour. It is automatic that Blair will come to Labour Friends of Israel meetings." ‘After Hague said Israel's invasion of Lebanon in 2006 was "disproportionate", there was an explosion among donors. Only a few weeks ago Hague, following CFI pressure, put out a statement demanding Britain reject the Goldstone resolution at the UN.’ The US pro-Israel lobby has been scrutinized for its influence over US foreign policy in the superb study by Professors Mearsheimer and Walt, ‘The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy’. In tonight’s Dispatches programme Peter Oborne turns the lens on the UK’s own pro-Israel lobby and its far-reaching influence on British politics: 'The financial arrangements of a number of the organisations that form part of the pro-Israel lobby are by no means widely known. The pro-Israel lobby, in common with other lobbies, has every right to operate and indeed to flourish in Britain. But it needs to be far more open about how it is funded and what it does', he writes. See also Ian Black in the Guardian today on the influence of the pro-Israel lobby on the Conservative party, 'Pro-Israel lobby group bankrolling Tories, film claims'. 23. Thought this passage from the pamphlet was just incredible and reveals the very intelligent thinking of the Conservative Friends of Israel lobby group. Streets ahead of any comparable Muslim organisations. 'On studying donations to Conservative Constituency offices before the 2005 election a pattern emerges. A group of donors, all with strong connections to pro-Israel groups, (almost all are on the board of the CFI) made donations of between £2,000 and £5,000 either personally or through their companies to the constituency offices of certain Conservative candidates. The donors involved include Trevor Pears, a property magnate, who has sat on the BICOM board, used to sit on the CFI board, and has donated to Cameron in the past; Lord Steinberg, vice-president of Conservative Friends of Israel and sponsor of Stuart Polak in parliament; Michael Lewis, a South African businessman and deputy chairman of BICOM who was formerly on the Board of CFI; three or four other prominent members of the CFI. The method of donation – medium-sized sums to constituency offices often through companies rather than personal names – means that connections to the CFI or other pro-Israel group are by no means obvious. These donors may never have met the candidates, nor stepped foot, let alone actually live, in the constituency, but were happy to make donations. All candidates in these constituencies either won the seat or came close. Interestingly, in constituencies where the Conservative candidate stood little chance, the CFI made the £2,000 donation themselves.'
