  1. LOL Dang gal you killed it... Thought I ain't into these wedding celebrationz or faarax'x 'n xaliimos spending their hard earned money to pay for hotal/DJ's and get all that critics at the end with no one appreciating. But I think the whole idea of having this kinda celebration is to make the two partners feel like king and queen for the night na'mean. When you sit above everyone and watch as xaliimos/farax's shake their thang, which is a bawdy thing for a freaking wedding nam’ean but ..u feel they're all there to entertain ya LOL.. Once again, some dig and some don’t
  2. I think they are trying but they won't be making hits na'mean. They just don't have the vocals needed to become big stars na'mean? They just might end up becoming another "underground" R&B group sexually victimized by horny producers. Who knows. Good luck to them.
  3. Ameenah and Jawaahir, did you guys ever wonder why all the "baac" people are considered normal in the somali culture unless they are really "qof waalan". As a matter of fact our society discriminates more against the "manic depressed" than it does against the "retarded fellas". lol If you are ina-hebel, you are not "baac" at all. lol In the west, "baac" fellas are recognized by the teachers early on in school and they are put on "special education" classes and some are even segregated. Some even recieve medication. There is no such thing in Somalia. Ina hebel is ina hebel. The "baac" is just Xaliimo's little fat brother who always runs around the house screeming his lungs off. What have we accomplished in this world? what have we contributed to science, mathematics or arts? nothing. We are still fighting tribal wars na'mean?. lol
  4. Originally posted by Opinionated: Rudy, I've read that article before and I think it carries some good points. I don't understand why everyone is getting all agitated..but you have to agree that this version of Islam everyone seems to be practicing nowadays is a little tailored to men. I want to ask one thing thou: what do you mean by the clear islamic rulings? Do you mean the quran....or the scholars? Guys, I think ya'all should calm down and get back to the basics. I read many posts and I must say this topic is hot. Before anyone criticized opinionated, it would have been nice if some of you nomads asked her the most important questions so that you don't waste time and emotions for nothing. Since no one asked her these questions, I will go ahead and ask our sister the following questions calmly and nicely. 1. Do you believe in the teachings of the Prophet. In other words, do you agree that the Sunnah is the most important piece after the Qur'an. 2. Do you wear the Hijab and if no, why not? Is the reason because of a fundamental disagreement you have with the basic principle behind the Hijab concept, or is it because you have been "slacking off" lately, but feel bad about not wearing it atleast. By the way, good debate na'mean?. keep it coming.

  9. libaax-sanka, i do concur with your allusion that A.A benefits us. Specially when it is a "tie-breaker". On the point system, I remember a similar point system used by some universities na'mean. Michigan was using the point system before the supreme court rejected it. What I didn't understand is how the supreme court said affirmative action must continue but the "point system" the university was using is unfair. It is like saying ... I don't eat pork but I enjoy its soup. A.A is either right or wrong na'mean. word

  11. Garyaqaan, Mahathir's vision 20/20 is something to be admired atleast. I agree with you, he does have many shortcomings. But I love his style of keeping the 40% ethnic Chinese gaalo at bay. They were brought to Malaysia as labourers by the British and Mahathir doesn't want them to take over his country na'mean?.

Also, ya should watch out when others compliment ya on Somalia Online...lol...some folks here are very sarcastic, some might simply be trying to get you going on attacking others they don't like. Yaan dadkani kaa waalin walaal. I laughed at Gediid's comment. Jambool caadi ah. Sammurai iyo waxaad rabtaa inaad gabdhaha masaakiintaa fooda isu galiso again.

When I heard that Abdiqaasim have sentenced Xasan Abshir and Abdalla Deerow who disagree with him to death, I was laughing so hard. The first thing that came to my mind was my boy HornAfrique. By the way OG_Girl, how did you get into this debate? war anagaa yaab aragnay I don't remember anyone accussing you of anything? I am asking this because you keep saying "We this, we that" as if somebody specifically accused you.
  14. ^^^ I rest my case. There you have it nomads. HornAfrique, remember, the TNG was elected to serve the people and stay neutral on tribal disputes. That was what shocked everyone. He supported his clancousins in the battle and from that day on he became a warlord to the Somali people. Brother, the difference between me and you is very clear. You and your buddies are defending warlords and I am telling you they are all the same. Power hungry, warlords. Case closed. I know it hurts, but that is the reality saaxiib. so long patriot.
  15. Raula, take the what part out..cuz..fosho ama be there na'mean..mia gotta represent the Gopherz...Hate'em cheeeseheadz..wether it's basters..oopz meant badgers LOL or..Packers..na'mean LOL>.. So, see ya around....
  16. Dang..you Mankato copy catz..LOL. I was hoping that I would see some nomadz when they show ppl on TV...but guess no nomad was near..so for those of you who were there, were part in any of this or??..
  17. I'm sorry to hear this..but Illah Samir iyo Iimaan alaha kaasiiyo Illahayna ha U naxariisto bro....
  18. Originally posted by Rahima: [QB] what makes Cabdiqaasim a warlord? Walaal, may I calmly and clearly say to ya that, in Somalia, one only needs a militia of his own (from his tribe) and couple of raids against other tribes to qualify as a warlord. Abdiqaasim is guilty of both. Majority of Somalis I know believe he is just another warlord. Warlords in Somalia are all power hungry, ruthless leaders walaal. Again, don't be blinded by qabyaalad. What is amazing, however, is that you have now changed tactics. Your earlier argument was that "Abdiqaasim is a small fish" compared to other warlords. But now you have changed you position and question whether he is guilty at all. Could it have something to do with my earlier arguement that one can't "pick and choose" when it comes to warlods? oh well. If you want to know the attrocities committed by Abdiqaasim, go ask the displaced people from Kismayo and those who live under fear in that city. Maybe your eyes would open about the realities at hand that Abdiqaasim's militias is occupying a land that don't belong to him, or the fact that all of these warlords (Abdiqaasim, Morgan and Hiiraale) are fighting for qabiil and self-interest only. Abdiqaasim himself have said on the BBC that he sent armored vehicles and a strong militia to Kismayu to "defend" against Morgan, another warlord. Remember this support was for his militia which was already occupying the city. Better yet, go ask the Mogadishu residents who don't belong to Abdiqaasim's main tribe. I mean, folks from the "BEELAHA AAN HUBAYSNAY" as they say in the USC media. I hope that was educating enough for you on your endeavor to understand how Abdiqaasim qualifies to be a warlord. Originally posted by Rahima: And please no propaganda May I kindly ask you to re-evaluate yourself and check if you are already not a victum of the same propoganda you are trying to tell us to avoid: same propoganda that Abdiqaasim is ok and others are warlords and the worst human beings on earth. Notice how Abdiqaasim is not affected by your "wish" for the land "to be cleansed of all warlords. Originally posted by Rahima: BUT this does not mean I will commit injustice and deem everyone a warlord simply so that I won’t be accused of double standards- I have standards and plan to adhere to them. I now understand your so-called "standards" you claim to adhere to. They are based on qabyaalad, not caddaalad. Originally posted by Rahima: As for your accusation against us being qabiilist than once more walaal could you be any more wrong? really I wish I and my others could believe ya. No hard feelings walaal. Salaams.
  19. Originally posted by HornAfrique: Everything i've said, I've said Mobb, no need in wasting serverspace I see you already getting defensive saxib. So now you are the champion of "server space". lol Qabyaaladi rag bay indhaha ka tuurtay. God help the Somalis.
  20. Horn, salaams saxib. Patronising me You missed my sarcasm patriot About your post above ... notice the "If Abdiqasim this, If Abdiqasim that" part of your qoute in which you are putting an 'uncertainty' on his criminal record. HornAfrique, I actually do like your posts but ya sometimes falter when Abdiqaasim is mentioned na'mean. Saxib, as you have seen my posts before, never have I said Abdullahi Yusuf is a great man. I think he is one of the warlords who roam around the country terrorizing others in search for power na'mean. I will make one thing clear to you though, and you should undertand me very well. Abdiqaasim and Abdullahi Yusuf are two warlords the Somalis need to get rid of. If you disagree with me on this, then it proofs my point that you are just another hardcore tribalist. Saxib, there is no pick and choose. A warlord is a warlord is a warlord. No ifs, ands or buts. I am from Puntland and puntland is a region that is part of Somalia. I wish the best for my country Somalia, but what I don't like is people hiding behind "Cabdullahi Yusuf" to show their hate for others. Let me ask you a question HornAfrique. If somebody from Puntland who was not a warlord, who have never committed a crime, was elected the president of Somalia, would you have supported him? I don't expect you to say no anyways. cool.
  21. So Rahima is the new warlord on the politics forum? Abdiqaasim? lol Do you understand the definition of a warlord? Subhanallah. Every day you will see somebody defending another warlord while accusing others of "double standard". Anybody who defends any warlord includingAbdiqaasim ("An angel" according to our great patriot HornAfrique) is just wasting his time on talking about goodness. It is specially bad when you hide behind "patriotism and Soomaalinimo" with that kind of double standard na'mean. Soomaalia Ilaahay baa u maqan.
  22. Entre, saxib good post. I like how ya joked about you having all "truth" which is itself a typical "WAAN DAADSHEY" Somali style. lol But have you ever observed the INDIANS and PAKISTANIS? You wouldn't be making this comment if ya were fully aware of how these communities worship status and titles. Saxib, my point is that we are just like everyone else na'mean. Even though we don't have many professionals in our community compared to others, it is not a big deal if a Somali prefers to be called a "doctor" or a "sheikh". They worked hard for the title. Let them enjoy it. lol
  23. Waaryaadhahee, waar maa runta layska sheego. What I don't like is HYPOCRICY. Daamn. I am gonna say this and I said this before in another post. There are too many bigots who hide behind "patriotism" and "Cabdullahi is a warlord" rhetoric to justify their tribalism against the people of Puntland. People, Let us not be blinded by "reverse" bigotry na'mean. Here is an easy test to help ya out. TEST: If ya can't stand the word "PUNTLAND" or its tribes, you're just another bigot. Result: there are too many bigots here. Walaahi it is very easy to spot your bias from your posts. You might not know it but it is very abvious na'mean. word.
  24. Raula, you right and now all the schoolz around it do rub and tell their new students each year how this hood is diverse and on..na'mean. As matter fact few timez, i run to group of student touring led by their professor..na'mean walking around.. Plus see how many school aroun it..the U, St.Kath..Augsburg College..it dont' get better nam'ean LOL... CedarSide...Lol
  25. Ohh boy I guess those who used to make fun of Cedar or Dixon are now saying..hmmmm maybe those places aren't that bad huh. I guess pictures speak for themself..now what.. Representing CedarSide...LOL
