  1. oh how did I miss this post. What is worse than opinionated's little comments is that when people disagree, some dudes (maybe admirers, maybe friends) come to her rescue as if this is some kind of a popularity contest on which hero can save her best na'mean. It is getting tiresome wallaahi. Boring game. Lakkad, to be honest, Ameenah's post was about police brutality and opinionted turned it into a "MUSLIM TERRORISTS ARE WORSE" kind of talk we hear from FOX NEWS na'mean. The "muslims are bad" stuff is the real polorizing issue Lakkad. Don't miss the point yourself. We muslims don't want to hear that stuff na'mean. If anyone makes any such comment, ya'all should expect others to disagree na'mean. This is a muslim forum na'mean. Read the rules of the website. Lakkad you warned others not to make any "sufficient conclusion". But you yourself are making the "sufficient conclusion" that others are after opinionated. weird logic. much respect.
  2. Lander, may I ask you what Somaliland will do in a war?
  3. Angel We all know Riyaale is not from your tribe (one reason you hate him) but why glorify all of those savages you call SNM na'mean? On top of that, wasn't Egal the man who massacred thousands of his own tribe in that battle with reer hawd na'mean? Rememeber Burco's distruction? Does ***** ring a bell? How many people died in Burco? Compare that with all those who died in Puntland during Abdullahi's time in Puntland. Oh I forgot he was elected. to kill I mean. or was he? The dead Ina Kaahin, siilaanyo and all the SNM criminals are Mujahids but all others are murderers. What a bunch of bull. ya need to get real sis. PS. I am surprised Gediid is not singing your song here. He knows how bad that sounds na'mean. [ January 08, 2004, 08:55 AM: Message edited by: Libaax-Sankataabte ]

  9. I was reading an article this morning news and had to share with ya all. Islam is being the savior for many trouble inviduals who realized or seeing the truth. What ya all think. New York - Michael Jackson became a member of the black group Nation of Islam on the eve of being formally charged with child molestation on Thursday, the New York Post tabloid reported. The newspaper quoted unnamed sources as saying that Jackson became a member of the black Muslim organisation led by Louis Farrakhan on Wednesday night. "The King of Pop is restyling himself Jacko X," said the tabloid. "High-ranking members of Nation of Islam have been working to bring Jackson into Reverend Louis Farrahkan's flock - and Jackson's conversion is now well-known in the NOI community," said the report. Farrakhan's organisation, which is controversial because of its leaders' anti-Jewish and anti-homosexual declarations, would not comment on the report. Fox News reported on Wednesday that Jackson's brother Jermaine Jackson had brought Farrakhan's chief of staff Leonard Muhammad into Jackson's inner-circle as "a bodyguard". According to Fox, Jermaine Jackson, another ex-member of the Jackson Five family group, converted to Islam in 1989. The television channel's report said Jermaine Jackson and Leonard Muhammad were "making the case to Michael that he was a victim of racism and that only the Nation of Islam could save him." Jackson, 45, is on $3m bail after being accused of multiple counts of child molestation against a boy aged under 14. Jackson and his lawyers have strongly denied the accusations, calling them "a big lie". The singer is to be formally charged on Thursday in Santa Maria, near Jackson's Neverland Ranch at around 22:00. Jackson was last month handcuffed and subjected to humiliating police mugshots and fingerprinting when he returned to Santa Barbara to face arrest last month. Source: News24

  11. Thought you guys might be interested readin this. RANGELEY, Maine - When he led this resort town's overwhelmingly white high school to a conference soccer championship last year, Abdalahi Shakur Abdi appeared to be living the American dream. That dream became a nightmare of multiple rape charges a year later, culminating in the teenage Somali refugee's guilty plea to a lesser felony count of unlawful sexual contact and five months in jail. His case raised questions about how an isolated community reacts to issues involving race, sex and crime. It left residents divided as to whether Abdi brought the nightmare on himself or was the naive victim of a teenage girl seeking vengeance against the boyfriend who left her. Andrew Robinson, the Franklin County prosecutor, said the case was the most bizarre he has ever handled. "You charge him with rape, and it's, 'Let's make him mayor,' " Robinson told the Boston Globe. "I'd never heard that." Abdi's soccer coach said the allegations that Abdi raped his white live-in girlfriend throughout the summer of 2002 were astounding. "Nobody could believe it," said the coach, Tom Danforth. Abdi drew support from the high school's 2003 senior class, which broke into prolonged applause when his photograph was shown in a video presentation during graduation ceremonies. Abdi was behind bars at the time as his friends tried unsuccessfully to raise $5,000 bail. Robinson said Abdi's teenage accuser was vindicated when Abdi pleaded guilty to the reduced charge, which requires that he register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life. Abdi said he accepted the plea bargain because of his lawyer's pessimistic view of the case and the probability of deportation if convicted of three counts of rape. Abdi was sentenced in September to time served in jail and two years' probation. Efforts to contact his former girlfriend and her family were unsuccessful. Abdi said the unspoken force of post-Sept. 11, 2001, attitudes toward Muslims worked against him. "I feel like they judged me without getting to know me because of who I am, because of where I came from," said Abdi, who had moved to Rangeley from the Somali refugee community in Lewiston. Fred Jones, a Bangor social worker who advocated for Abdi, said the court-appointed defense counsel argued against fighting the rape charges at trial. Jones said the lawyer, Thomas Dean of Farmington, told him, in effect, that "we can't win against a white girl in the state of Maine." Dean's law office said the lawyer would not comment. Robinson said he is amazed at the "blind support" for Abdi in what he called "a classic sexual-assault case." "When you hear folks say we were railroading him, what we were doing was simply looking at the evidence," Robinson said. "What do you do when you have a victim who tells you she's been raped all summer long?" The Rangeley teenager told police that Abdi had raped her 20 times in the spring and summer of 2002, that he struck her in the presence of witnesses, that he threatened her with a tire iron, and that he was verbally abusive. A Rangeley teenage boy told authorities he saw Abdi shove the woman against a car door, scream that in Somalia he "would have killed her," and order her to "get in the (expletive) house and cook him some damn food." Now 19, Abdi lives in a shabby one-room apartment in Bangor, clothes strewn about the floor. He has no job, nor the ready prospect of one. "I don't have a plan," Abdi said. "It's the same old, same old. I just basically get up in the morning and watch TV." Abdi said he now rarely mingles in public. "I feel like somebody will just accuse me of something again," Abdi said. But Robinson maintains that neither Abdi's race nor his religion played any role in the legal process. "He has fared about 1,000 times better than many people who have been charged with gross sexual assault," the prosecutor said.

  23. I watched a clib from CNN last night and was moved seeing the whole story. So I had to share with you..all. IANS[ THURSDAY, DECEMBER 04, 2003 05:40:02 AM ] GAZA: Despite travel restrictions, hundreds of Palestinians visit the Israeli town of Bethlehem every day to see a 'miracle' infant, apparently born with the name of his dead uncle imprinted on his cheek, reports Xinhua . The boy, less than a fortnight old, is referred to as the 'Baby Miracle'. The name of the uncle was Alla'a. He was part of the Palestinian liberation group Hamas and reportedly killed by the Israeli Army in Bethlehem in March. The baby's father Iyad Eid said his son was born on November 27, considered the holiest night of the year in the Muslim calendar and part of the Ramadan month. Eid said he was shocked when he saw the name, imprinted in Arabic. "Since my brother was killed by the Israeli Army, my parents couldn't stop crying and grieving for him, but when we saw his name written on my son's cheek, we felt Alla'a was resurrected, so we named him after his uncle," Iyad said. Hundreds of men, women and children cluster around Iyad's house everyday in an attempt to see this phenomenon. Many say it reaffirms their belief that martyrs are precious to Allah. The infant's family said around 6,000 Palestinians from all over the West Bank and Jerusalem have so far come to see the "Baby Miracle", among them are Muslim and Christian religious men, academics, intellectuals as well as journalists. Doctors at the French Hospital in Bethlehem who delivered the baby said he weighted 3.8 kg at birth and the birthmark Alla'a on his face is 10 cm long. Three letters are on his left cheek and the fourth is behind the left ear. Doctors also couldn't explain the unusual birthmark. The baby's grandmother Aisha Iyad, 85, clutched her grandson in her arms and told reporters that god had sent a message through him, expressing love for the Palestinians and abhorrence for Israel's "crimes". "Since my son Alla'a was killed I used to cry daily, but after my grandson was born I felt as if god had sent him to make up for my killed son," said Iyad, adding "god is still with us and our martyrs could never die".
