I usually use it out of school hours nowadays (I can see why ppl hate skl kids now ) and it's usually empty. Go for it. Wadani, we are getting sick and tired of you, Saff & Alpha's sarbeeb. Keep it to the PMs!

Currently it's just hateful F Islam graffiti on the bus stops but I think it'll get worse one of these days.
  9. It's not gruesome. Just his hands are bloody and the knives too. But other than that he's just talking. But boy is it getting scary living in this place. Recently I've noticed F Islam, Kill Islam grafitti on some of the bus stops but with this as well? Waa naloo baqaa wallee. I can't wait to get out like Alpha.

  13. Those guys need to lift. Shameful exposing a potbelly at that age
  14. lol. Those birds are called Baambow. A rumay/caday is a toothbrush. How can you not know? Don't you northerners brush your teeth? I knew there was something fishy about reer Burco's stained teeth

  16. SP, you should always be carrying a rumay when travelling anyway. A wash bag or something. Alpha, I bet you don't know the name of those large birds on top of the tree in the first pic. We have a funky name for it.
  17. Oh btw, SP while you're in Garissa, you're reer Ugaar, Caabudwaaq. That'll keep you out of trouble
  18. Overload yh. I can't help myself when someone mentions Gaaris Cadeey Sorry Al, back to S/land and the office now
  19. SP, a quick video showing farasmagaalaha Wadada kismaayo. As you can see, the town is only now beginning to really develop. But this video doesn't do it justice: (btw, it's shot during the end of the deyr rains masha'allah)

  21. SomaliPhilosopher;953441 wrote: thanks haatu. How is garissa. Ill prob be asking you more questions as the fall approaches It's ok by Somali standards. Compared to the rest of the world, there's not really much to do. It's a perfect place to stay for one or two days to recover from a long journey but it's no Xamar or Hargeysa. You can literally walk from the "suburbs" to the town centre albeit it'll take around an 1hr. There's a few clubs in the town centre if you're interested in those things but I've never been so can't comment. All in all, a very boring place but my hometown nonetheless

  23. Oh, also just outside of Garissa there's this Giraffe sanctuary. You might want to check it out. If you're looking for a place to stay in Garissa, go to the only 5 star hotel in the Somali peninsular, Almond Hotel
  24. SomaliPhilosopher;953432 wrote: Haatu I probably will be making a trip to the NFD sometime in the fall. Any places or citys/tuulos you recommend? The place outside of Garissa looks pretty much like how the British left it so if you're going for fun I'd stay away coz there's absolutely nothing to do. But is you want to see sparsely populated villages in lush grazing lands, there's Wajeer, Habasweyn, Sarrif, Masalani (there's a really good nature reserve near here with lakes and beautiful birds, hippos, Garas forest etc.) and the Boni forest on the Southern border with Somali. However, be aware of going to the north of NFD anywhere above Wajeer basically. There's currently clan tensions in that area and there's been a few camel raids and killing.

I can see where you're coming from and what you suspect (mostly Imam related). But Hassan Sheikh must be awful at politics if he managed to reunite the Imam with Khaatumo and Madoobe (three groups that did not see eye to eye in the very recent past). I've already explained to you why I brought SL into the argument. I'm in no mood to rewrite the same point again and again. Wax fahan. Exactly. Never could I have imagined this happening but Xasan Sheekh seems to have found a way of making it a reality. He should be given a medal
