    The Hobbit!

Just saw it a couple of hours ago. Bitterly disappointing. I can't believe I waited a whole year for that. This could be due to the fact that I've read the book but who knows.

    What to do?

loool Ngonge I love your bridge comments. Btw, is that the bridge in Mostar? That's one of the most beautiful towns I've ever seen. That bridge brings Ironbride to shame Taleexi iyo Nin Yaaban, please do not sully my good name. I'm a pious God fearing man Narniah, take Che's advice
  7. Lynch him! Lynch him! Lynch him! Btw, I hope the Fuqaha tested it in a halal way if you get my drift
  8. War bax Qabridaharey ku noqo Galti yahow Afkiisa fiiriya As for the topic, the ports are national assets and them coming under the Federal Government benefits everyone. For example, reer Bari will not just rely on Boosaaso port, but they will get some of the revenue from Xamar, Kismaayo, Berbera, Marka etc. So in the long run it is beneficial for everyone and our economy will benefit because of that.
  9. OK what's up mate. You seem to be watching too many BBC documentaries lately. Have you adopted the Saudi culture of leaving work at noon?

But this will never happen, we're a God fearing folk It's also a thing of honour. Imagine the comments I'll get from Cali and Xasan and claims that my sisters are 'loose'. God forbid.

  13. Because in the Day of Judgement, Muslims believe that yes, the females will also be responsible for their own actions, but their male guardians or walees will also be held accountable. In this issue, we're oil and water sxb. I can tell you we won't see eye to eye.

I wonder what you think of my statement then. That it is not accepted for women not to walk without a hijab in Mogadishu. (let alone any other Somali city). After the war Somalis became more conservative because they experience first hand the realities of life and realized how short our stay in this world is. As for your question, forget other women I would never let my mum or sisters leave the house without a hijab (not niqab but headscarf) on and bring shame to my name. I'm a Muslim and I find no fault in my religion nor its practices. I also feel no compulsion to appease non-Muslims nor do I feel inclined to adopt their ways or customs. As for the video, most of the problems Saudi Arabia has is more cultural rather than religious. One classic example is the female driving ban. Nothing in Islam prevents a women from driving, in fact hordes of scholars have said that it causes more harm than benefit.
  16. Just how it should be. Nice and simple and proper SOMALI names, not some rubbish foreign words that the so-called leaders can't even pronounce.
