War Ancient Egyptionkan aad la soo shirtagtey waa maxay ninyahow afka dheer? It seems your the only one obsessed about them. As for the double letters, I read a book on Somali grammar written in the 1960s originally in arabic script and then written in latin script by two Somali linguists. I'll post the title later. That should be proof enough for you.

I was spared this whole experience but I did go for ~1 month then I stopped attending. Aabo was away and hooyo would just say it didn't matter and I was too young. Then one day my uncle visited and found me at home. He chased me round the the house and dragged me to dugsi. I remember I was so fearful of the macalin because he was sending threats through my sister saying he would beat me for bunking. I remember going in front of him and being told to do this: Suffice to say I was glad when I left for Europe a couple of weeks later

Abtigiis;900722 wrote: Some people are just amazing. This is a drama, one acted superbly. Why talk about cross-dressing and whatnot?! Must we look at every issue with an Anglo-Saxon lens? Many brainwashed kids in this forum are guilty of this, but Nin Yaaban showcases extra diligence in his sheepish submission to Western idiosyncrasies. In Somali culture, what the boy did is acceptable and even appreciated. Nin Yaban doesn't see any problem when Eddie Murphy acts as old woman; even finds Martin Lawrence funny in Big Mama, but if a somali does the same, he invokes etiquettes that are not relevant to Somali context. Could it be the prison that turned him into this white- worshipping, self-denigrating poor soul? Again with the prison jokes? Why do you hate the man so much?

Xabxab is not Somali it's an Arabic loan word. The proper Somali word is qare. They do the same thing with the word for spoon as well; they call it malqacad which is also Arabic whereas the Somali word is qaado.

Talking about the war on drugs, I listened to a lecture in The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine given by a professor on this subject. He talked about how the war on drugs was failing and how many countries such as the EU and Japan were starting to relax their laws somewhat and reducing prohibition. He cited the case of Bolivia where a local drug used by the Indians for centuries was banned by the UN drugs policy and how this has led to Bolivia leaving the treaty. He also mentioned how the US is the main force of the prohibitionists.

Well said Waranle.

^Yh I guess the beginning of the book wasn't that interesting anyway. It stopped just when things started to get better.

OK, I always quote this place knowing it's somewhere in P/land, but I actually have no clue where it is exactly. Can anyone tell me where Xasbahalle actually is?

Out of all the clan states, at least this one has a Somali name. Simply because of that I say kudos to them.

Somalia;899473 wrote: And who are you plotting from Wardheer, the ones speaking in Jubbaland are not from Jubbaland but mostly from Somali Galbeed, Caabudwaaq and NFD, that is the truth but we don't point that out when the likes of you speak. Who told you I'm originally from Wardheer. I thought it was a family secret. We lived there before my subsubsubsub clan was scattered by sayidka Anyways. I'm not plotting. As for this guy, his comments aren't needed. The naysayers were simply being ignored before. The people of Jubbooyinka don't need others to defend their cause. And P/land doesn't represent the Trinity Brothers in Jubba (for lack of a better word ), they are fully capable of representing themselves which they have been doing thus far.

Somalia;899401 wrote: A hell of a lot more than one from Wardheer. He is part of the goat kingdom and as Duke said, they have a large population there, especially when it comes to land .. So he is probably from there. War he represents nobody. All the locals are part of the project and he's just an onlooker. He's no better than the ones that plot in Mogadishu to build a J/land of their own.
