That's right, everyone with a name in Somalia should start claiming lands there've never seen in Jubbooyinka. Waryaa Saalax, when are the Habros gonna state their claim as well?

The parliament is going to be demolished and rebuilt. That's what the Turkish FM said anyway. But what I don't know is if he was talking about the Siyaad one or the old 60s one. I think he meant the Siyaad one.

This reminds me of a funny experience I had. All my life in the West, I was lead to believe that I was born on mid-september 94, and why not afterall that's what it said on the passport. However, when I back home in Garissa in 2011 I was curious and just wanted peace of mind so I asked my ayeeyo to give me my birth certificate; and Lo and behold! it turns out I've been living as a certified fake age all these years. My real b-day turned out to be June 30th 94.It turns out that when my old man was completing the papers and procuring the fake Mogadishu birth certificates, being a typical old fashioned Faarax he literally only knew the years and rough season most of us were born in, so he simply guessed the month and day And to think I used to torment my Afghan FA friends on 1st of January.

Abtigiis, ma odayaasha tolka ayaan sheeko caynkan oo kale lasoo hor istaagaa (insert famous OG saying Ab.same something something something I can't remember but I'm sure you know ) Sheikh Bashir was a devout man. He still wonders how a pious man, who doesn't look at woman at all, ended up clasping the sumptuous buttocks of Ruqiya. This was classic. I imagined every wadaad-ku-sheeg I know here For Apo's benefit: the saying I roughly quoted does not in any way imply that I use it regularly, nor does it imply that I'm knowledgeable in Somali sayings. I merely remember my mother using it in my childhood

No *teenager* would know about reer waqoyi lamenting about siyad and laangaab, whatever that means lool This teenager does because he read a biography on Siyaad Barre (woefully written, more about Somalia than the man). I learnt about laangaab and laandheer right here on SOL. One reason why I like this site (Killed two birds with one stone there ) My b-day is in September.

Good news. This only helps to strengthen the federal government and expand its influence.
