  1. I never said I disliked anyone from any region, I harbour no ill-feelings towards any Somali. You accuse me of supporting President Abdullahi for clan-reasons and like I said before, even if that were the case, is that not my right? My 'representative' in the Parliament is Jama Ali Jama..The man who fought with President Abdullahi in Puntland. If I was to support anyone based on qabiil, it wouldn't be President Abdullahi. I'm not getting worked up about anything, I just don't like liars. I don't like people who hide their true feelings just so they can appear to be religious. I don't like hypocrisy. your signature chooses to wipe off an entire country You mean Somaliland? Well, technically, it's still apart of Somalia and until the two sides sit down and work things out, that's how it shall remain. That doesn't mean I hate Somaliland, I understand why Somalilanders would want to leave the union and I honestly have no problem with it. Abaayo, its one thing to dislike the TFG..you even have the right to dislike President Abdullahi, but to you say that his clan doesn't care about Somalis or Somalia and you dislike them..Don't you think that's taking it a bit far?
  2. Originally posted by Taliban: Your above link is about Cushitic languages, not about Habesha being Semitic. A modicum of professionalism on your part is in order. Please don't waste our time with nonsenses Lmao! I never said the Habasha weren't Cushitic because they don't look like the Beja,Oromo,Afar,Somalis etc.(although they don't)..I simply stated that they were Semitic( because they are). Semitic is a language grouping, as is Cushitic and Bantu..the Habasha fall into the Semitic grouping and the Somalis(and others) into the Cushitic one. Please read the Habasha link you provided and it will tell you why the Habasha are Semitic. One can't be both Semitic and Cushitic.

I'm confused as to when exactly I claimed to be a UIC supporter, I do not support the TGF because first and foremost I will not support a secular government being set up in a muslim country, be it Somalia or Zamunda. NO God-fearing person would dare show allegiance to a leader who would bring in kafirs to fight our brothers and sisters in Islam. When I say you and your lot, I mean those who support this pathetic excuse for a man because of Qabil, one quick glance at the threads in the politics section and one can't help but wonder whether this particular clan cares about the well being of Somalia and Somali's in general or about subjugating others... one can't help but wonder whether this particular clan cares about the well being of Somalia and Somali's in general or about subjugating others... your signature chooses to wipe off an entire country and you get worked up about my puntland jibe?....again....how utterly typical. Khalaf, thanks..... and sorry for making you want to eat your words Thank you for proving my point, you are a clanist bigot. I wanted to sincerly address you because brother Khalaf held you in high-regard, but there really is no point. Don't act like you know me because you don't.
  4. Since you love wiki so much..heres a link to the Cushitic page, do you see the Habasha listed? Cushitic
  5. I'd like to thank my parents for being so awesome.

She said she hates his supporters and their clan and now she says he should go rule Puntland..What the hey? You know her better than I, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. She should clarify her statements and be more clear next time. Edit: You're right. I'm sorry about the beard comment, I was just trying to point out that those who never supported the ICU for religious reasons have already given up their act. I meant no harm.

  8. I think this is a topic worth discussing, but the topic-starter didn't make this thread out of the goodness of his heart. He read this article and red-lights started going off in his head..It's just a way for him to drag Puntland(or butland as he calls it  ) in the mud. There's no point in trying to have a decent conversation with him because it would just be a waste of time.
  9. ^ Ever watched VH1s "Where are they now?"...I hear Aweys and co. will be their next feature.

You are as clanist as the next Somali, the only difference is you claim to be religious. Talk about being morally bankrupt, how can you use and abuse the religion like that? Ever heard of cognitive dissonance?! My signature may bother you, but you're gonna have to live with it. The fact is Abdullahi Yusuf is the President of Somalia. Anyone who finds A Yusuf and his 'govt' a big farce is a mujahid now? what does that tell you about your dearest adeer? I havent said anything as to who you should or shouldnt support, you're right it is your prerogative, and it's mine to dislike you, your lot and everything you stand for...it's only normal that I should do so. Here is a more realistic map, perhaps A Yusuf can be king of puntland? [/QB]No, you and your ilk claim to occupy a higher moral ground and seem to think you're "patriots" and "mujahids" when you're nothing more than a plain ol' opportunists. Religion and Clan don't mix, how hard is it for you to understand that? You can't claim to be religious and (whilst at the same time) have a 'dislike' for a particular region(read: Clan..since clan names aren't allowed on this forum ) . Your comrades in Somalia shaved their beards off, I say its high time you took off your jilabib, you ain't fooling no one.
  11. Thanks for the clarification Xalane. Taliban- If you can't stomach the presence of Ethiopian troops in Somalia, why don't you do something about it? Making silly comments on a forum isn't going to change much, now is it? Dhubad- If this story were indeed true, I could understand why some people would be upset about it.
  12. I couldn't understand the Somali..but is this about an Ethiopian flag being erected somewhere in Mogadishu?
  13. Originally posted by Centurion: Normal Rwandese don't resemble Somalis like their President seems to. There's no such thing as a "Normal Rwandese". There are different tribes in Rwanda( the most notable being the Tutsi and the Hutu) and the President is from the Tutsi tribe.
  14. Originally posted by David_Letterman: Violet what's a cushitic look? The Beja,Afar,Somali,Oromo etc. look A LOT alike. They look different from non-Cushitics like the Habasha(who are 'Semitic') and the Kikuyu( who are 'Bantu').

Also, it may well be that those who were honouring the president were mainly from Abdullahi Yusuf’s lineage and relatives and some characters from other communities who have political ambition and wanted to be closer to his “Excellency entourage.” Hence the meetings were not inclusive. In addition, those braving the cold, demanding an ever elusive recognition for an entity they called “Somaliland” are probably from the same clans or lineages but would like to portray and show the world that their cause is an inclusive project for a legitimate self-determination when a large numbers of people in the Northern regions of Somalia are against the secession project. That's the truth. "when a large numbers of people in the Northern regions of Somalia are against the secession project." ^^^^ That's the truth? lol I quoted the entire passage and I agree with it wholeheartedly. The man spoke the truth.

  18. I have no idea what you're talking about. All I know is a girl was raped and you're here trying to justify it.

  20. So the rape didn't happen? What would a young girl get out of lying about such a thing?
  21. I know that "Bantu" is a language grouping, but the people can be "Bantu" as well. Bantu is a general term for over 400 different ethnic groups in Africa, from Cameroon to South Africa, united by a common language family (the Bantu languages) and in many cases common customs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bantu The Tutsi President looks "Cushitic" because the Tutsis are believed to originally be from Southern Ethiopia.
  22. I think you're the one with the reading comprehension problem my friend. Why is his qabiil even an issue? You made it an issue, so I addressed it. Would you be talking about the President appointing a personal spokesperson had he been from your clan? No. So what's your problem? The fact that the Presidents spokesperson is from Puntland. It's not that the spokesperson isn't qualified for the job, it's his qabiil that you have a problem with. I'm getting the hang of this. Many people on this website try to mask there dislike of a particular clan by hiding behind ambiguous words and phrases so as to not break any rules. Please be more honest and forthcoming next time. It'll save the both of us a lot of time and effort.
  23. What would they say if the "Bantu" Rwanda president walked through a Muqdisho cafe? Adeer iska waran shah ma donaysa? The Tutsis aren't of Bantu origin.

  25. Actually Violet, This goes out to the TFG supporters, who told us that the TFG is above Qabiil. So, it’s only fair to confront them . Such blatant loyalty(& lies) needs to be confronted with hard news evidence such as this. The TFG is a qabil based entity. Periood. That argument came about when we found out about that juvenile right wing ambassador designate.Kooshin right? That’s all it is,Runtii. The TFG is based on qabiil( hence the 4.5 system), so of course it's a qabiil-entity. What's your point? This man is the Presidents personal spokesperson, again, he isn't the governments spokesperson, but the Presidents. I still don't see what the problem is. Your opposition to this mans appointment is based on solely on his qabiil. You would have had a point had you been against him based on say his qualifications for the job, but no, it's his qabiil that you have a problem with. I'm starting to wonder if you would have even given a second-thought to this appointment if the dude was from your clan. I'm sure you wouldn't have. Please get off your high-horse, you're as qabiilist as the next cat.
