Hey Buuxo, how are you? Did you know we share a relative? The things you find out on FB... Hi all.

^^^It's always skirt season in Dubai! loool@exploded. Blessed, I can’t agree more. I don’t mind sharing but I always find no one takes care of your clothes as good as yourself, can you imagine the mini heart attack of a wool jumper oo dhulka lagu tuuray? It used to be a bit difficult in a house of 4 girls but thank God half of them are married off now, in foreign countries ha ha ha. I would rather give it away. The worst thing in the world is for people to look exactly the same or very similar. In London a lot of woman look like fashion horses, or like they fell out of the changing room at Topshop, trying to wear too many looks at once, no originality at all. It’s nice to see the occasional unique style. This summer they are going to trash my favourite summer colours, navy, red and white in what I can only describe as nautical-overkill. I am on the look out for maxi skirts. Candy coloured cardigans, smart/plain maxi dresses that can be worn to the office (so you don’t look like you’re on the beach/tropics). Colourful accessories and new scarves can bring old outfits back from the dead. Strappy sandals and neat classic ballet pumps. I hope the avoid jeans…so so boring! EDIT: p.s. Val, that dress is from Oasis, ASOS is only selling it. Unless it says Asos (as in their brand) the stuff they sell is from everywhere. But that dress is probably overpriced for the martial it is made of.

Visual stimulation as in admiration of a well designed descendant of Adam, who just happened to be Somali as well. It was nice change from all the grumpy, ugly people.

Its incredible one can say he will kill someone in a press conference and get away with it. -
Afternoon folks, too lazy to be back at work today. Don’t you love sunny days that start with visual stimulation on the tube?

Ducaysane , read my first post. This is Elisabeth Badinte’s opinion. I thought a balanced, realistic approach to motherhood would be ideal.

Did you not take insect repellent spray with you? I am sure you can buy this in the bigger cities? Also, do you have a net around your bed? Close the windows and put on AC.

SS, why not? Che, haa, Alhamdullilah. Adiguna? Does anyone here know about nuts? As in Brazilians, cashews etc. Where is Sheh when you need her?
-
Hello Ibti, I need to be cheeky and ask you a favour while you’re out there. I hope it won't be out of your way. Hi SS & Che.
-
Why are they all so negative? What does it say about you that you cannot find anything positive about your people?
-
This is so lame  . Grow up and let people be.

Malika, you’re a lucky girl. I don’t know if I can do both countries justice in the short time I will have. Ngonge, no, I am as regular a Somali as they come, not that there is anything wrong with being Sujuui (there should be another word). If I can’t go to Somalia, the closet place to it is Kenya, and other parts of East Africa. Hello Juxa & Zu Care to elaborate on the pig blood Zu? I am trying to convince someone to give up.
-
Hello Malika, if I do go, it will be Niarobi & Mombasa. Tanzania is so close by too. Nothings confirmed, its in maybe/possibly limbo stage. Are you off yet Malika?
-
I might be going Kenya this summer so make sure you guys give comprehensive reviews. I haven’t been back to Africa since 1989. It should be an adventure. Hello girls
-
Oh...can't wait to go home!
-
ha ha ha. What's eating you Ngonge?
-
Blessed, I totally agree, that seems like the ideal balance. Che, I dont think fatherhood is in parts. It's from beginning to end.

What a dull day. Where’s everyone gone?

lol@Juxa, I just meant the topic in general. Ok, they don’t love each other but like & respect each other or whatever arrangements they have in place, to say, she didn’t cook, he didn’t pay that bill, it seems so petty in the grand scale of things. Obviously if things become an issue it’s an entirely different matter. I love your idea, I agree with it, it is a Muslim woman's right but I also think it's unrealistic & uncompassionate to hold him to that in today's life unless the guy is quiet rich. We are not talking about dodgy council flats in bad neighbourhoods here, or a mediocre existence. If a man is to pay for a rent/mortgage on a London property, pay all bills, kids expenses, cover remittance to parents/extended family back home, cover social life, holidays, he must be making 100k a year if not more. That is far from the reality in most cases. Some kind of favourable compromise must be found. What I'm saying is, you don't have to, but it's nice to share If you find a loaded Farax by all means do send him my way & I will happily sing your philosophy!

All I know is dad is jecel don’t calculate or keep scores, it's a very ugly & uncompassionate prospect.

I don’t think other people’s success/happiness ever takes away from you. Hang in there, you’re turn will come In the meantime, perhaps you should stop being a bridesmaid? Rushing behind the the bride the entire evening and making yourself look silly is never the way to go. You would have a better chance showing up as a guest, somehow it is more dignified

Ok when I first read this I thought she was a delusional, confused, narrow minded woman, and totally extreme in her view, I still think she is… but part of me also finds her selfish honesty very refreshing. The only part of her message that appealed to me & that can be generalised is that children will probably do just as well with a little less obsessive care, and mothers would benefit from being a bit more selfish and doing things for themselves instead. I also find it comical/amusing that a baby can be a tyrant. What's SOL mother’s (or father’s) opinion on this? * please no little-dhocil boys, this is not a topic for you *
