  1. It fit when I bought it 6 weeks ago, I don’t understand how a person can grow shorter. I’m good love, just trying to find the motivation to work. Are you free to enjoy the weather or office bound Ibti? Hello CL
  2. My maxi dress is a little too long. I hope I make it hope with all my teeth. Hey Ibti.
  3. Look all you can do is give them sound advice, no need to give the parents a heart attack. These are not teenagers but grown women in uni. I'A one day they'll drop their bad habits and find their path again, u so duceey rather than bashing them. p.s. Hello Castro
  4. Men discussing scarf is like men discussing child birth, it must look very easy from your side to comment on wearing hijab. Remember she wore the hijab by choice and not because it was fashionable or anyone forced her. It is disappointing she had to change herself for anywhere or anyone. What is ironic is that she is ‘sad’ that she can’t be herself, what she is doing in effect is helping maintain the status-qou, did black people get rights by just going along? Unless more women face discrimination and stand up for themselves all anyone will ever see are just their negative perceptions of the scarf and not the woman wearing it.
  5. Red, you’re being kept emotionally hostage. My advice is to let her know you intentions clear, black and white, do not give her any hope and cut all communications with her. To be on the safe side, let a member of her family know, just in case, to keep an eye on her. She seems obsessive, 2nd wife an noqana ku laha, acudibillahi… What is strange in this story is that you are in contact with this 2nd girl. p.s. since when did you learn this level of Somali? Koora Tunshee, can’t you make your avatr smaller? Is that even allowed?

    Office people

Omg that was beyond funny, I need to forward it to all my workaholic mates, they know who they are
  8. Yes North, but there is only so much we can do, you know how hectic London life is, seems a Herculean task for few individuals Ibti, that is sad.
  9. North, what about the 100 ‘community’ centres’ run by incapable, dishonest & shady individuals floating around in London alone that are drying the council’s of funds? How come there are no interpreters, after school home work clubs and tea and coffee mornings for the elderly? These services do not require a lot of money, just co-ordination. Somalis are ripping themselves off brother. The issue is beyond a few role models.
  10. ^^ I agree, it depends on the Dirac and jacket too, some Dirac’s will be ruined by a jacket. Plus it's chilly in the evenings not to mention down right cold in winter. There was a time when I used to get cold every time I went to wedding, guaranteed.
  11. ^^^I dont feel ashamed, nor do I doubt that anyone will remember him let alone his Somaliness after the show. Ok I may have been a bit harsh, it's just pathetic to make such a spectacle of yourself like that.
  12. Hey girls, CL, thats because with the exception of few, somali weddings are chaos. CL are you going horse riding? Malika, have lots of fun, anything you eat you can work off ha ha ha
  13. I want to dance too, especially now I've found my cindy shoes. Hello folks.
  14. I was hoping there will be no Somali persons on the show. What an utter disgrace, I’m even more disgusted when I saw his picture… he should have been shot at birth to spare his parents. Nin weyn oo waxas ku hadlayo. The newspapers are calling it a show of freaks. I never understood what can be so interesting about watching a bunch of weirdos do everyday things…
  15. The bouncy castle sprung into action again and spat out the following LoooL, acudibillahi, what unfortunate looking women! Malika, I agree. Nonetheless, a good read. Haye Ngogne, ma leysku soo boodi doona?
  16. Oh I can't wait to watch Sex and the City, either tonight or sunday. I haven't watched most of the series (some of it was a bit out there) but the movie looks good. At the risk of being stoned I always thought they were a bit too old for their roles.
  17. Yep, hello God bless whoever discovered Earl Gery tea.
  18. Firstly, good looks and attraction is not the same thing, an average brother may have sparks a classically gorgeous hunk may not have. Secondly, what is the essence of marriage to you? What certain things can you not compromise on? If love or even attractiveness does not rate high on your requirement of marriage then you may be able to consider this further. If however, it is the opposite, then it is quiet obvious isn't it? p.s. CL gave good advise.

    Relocating

Since we are nomads by nature it’s no surprise that relocation is becoming more popular. In recent years, and more specifically at the present moment, more siblings, friends and even work colleagues have either been talking about relocating or have already relocated. The most popular places seem to be Dubai, Canada and Australia. What drives people to relocate? Is it the climate (some people, including myself, take this very seriously)? Is it the culture? The sense of adventure or new beginnings? Better prospects? Is the grass really greener on the other side? What do you consider ‘quality of life’ to mean? Would you consider relocating?
  20. There is no denying that most Somalis are of humble origin and they appreciate this. You can see how far most have come by looking at what their grandparents used to do and what they do now, in fact, we would be excellent social climbers . p.s. you will be saddened to find that the theatre has been mainstream for many many years now, whilst I love musicals myself, these days some are so bad they can be considered almost chav-like, so careful what you regard as cultured and don’t fall victim to cultural slavery by immitation. You forget the Theatre was central as entertainment provider when it came to Mogadishu night life, so don’t be so quick to judge your fellow Cashos & Jamacs. p.s.s Thanks for the laugh...
  21. Layzie, the insurgents are not supported by the British government. Millions of pounds do not go towards aid and directly financing the salaries of the employees of the insurgents, as the UK government is funding the TFG jointly with the European Union. That is the point he was making, that our tax goes towards funding these people. The point of the programme was to make British viewers aware of this. But I agree with you, those who plant bombs that maim and disembowel bystanders are just as bad.
  22. Layzie, criminals should always be exposed. One can hardly compare the fatal damage they inflict on innocents to the embarrassment or emotional distress of their families, that is just unfortunate. I felt bad for the 10 year old girl, blind in one eye from shrapnel and half her leg severed, the bone broken, probably will die of it. How can a human being be so indifferent to the suffering of his own people? The programme also filmed the 'police force' raiding civilians, and the head of the police response to this? They were impostors who bought the police uniform, simply pathetic. I hope their UK passports are confiscated.
  23. Bal waxan ma wax la sheega, total xawayanimo!
  24. I just accidentally walked into the men’s wondering when the women’s toilets got urinals before the obvious dawned on me... I could have sworn the symbol on the door wore a skirt. Miss D&D, get some cream from the pharmacist if it still hurts.
