^^Dabshid, that is why smart girls cover up, or avoid the whole thing altogether. Mixed or not, weddings always get taped, unless it’s a girls only Islamic wedding. Can someone please explain to me why there is Muxadoro at weddings? I mean I understand God should be remembered at any gathering, and sometimes at Meher's or weddings they do a short speech on marriage and each partners responsibility but isn’t a wedding, Islamic or not, about a celebration? Why should people be talking about hell fire and prayers during a wedding? Sheh, I know what kind you mean, the 6 yard health hazard diracs? There are some pretty ones but they are hard to control. a gorgeous set of silk dirac which you can wear with class (islamically of course), Haneefa, I couldn’t agree more. I like that style. I’m going to a wedding next week and it’s “ladies only” with a camera man, a DJ and 10 of his entourage.

Apart from lacking honour and self restraint, I don’t think the man is to blame half way near as much as the sister is. At 16 you know right from wrong and you most certainly know what would hurt your sister. Age is not an excuse. Judge, he was engaged to the older sister when he met the younger one. An engaged man has promised a woman he will be her lifelong partner, that promise means they will both quit looking for & at others. As far as I remember breaking a promise is a highly unislamic act. Having said that people break up all the time. It is the deception and the way he went about it. He could have honestly broken up with the older sister, even told her the full truth. Anyway A&T, it happened, it was lowly and not a good start. Something that was build on deception and the hurt of others can never end in happiness. All the same, get over it, if Allah can forgive you, you should be able to forgive yourself. Life is still for living.

FB, let it go CL, hello girl. Everyone has been trying to fill JB’s shoes and failing miserably. Ngonge is posting what some might call inappropriate threads. Ibti is holding down the fort with her strange stories collection. KK has failed to upkeep the number of o’s in L and the number of LOL’s in general. I’ve been trying to respond to everything, it’s a difficult task.

LooL Ducaysane...I see your name is a euphuism Somali mothers use to call particularly difficult children.

It will offer traditional agricultural education, while it will expand academic and research focus into such areas as the production of specialty crops, nutrition and health, and the protection and enhancement of the environment. The college will also extend to include a multitude of cross-disciplinary approaches to food management, processing, and promotion. All facets of the curriculum are sensitive to enhancing the critical balance among economic viability, community development, and environmental wellbeing. I like its focus on agriculture. Ilahey ha garab galo anyone who is trying to build something good inside Somalia.

Fahiye, The British Household Panel Survey, which involved 3,800 couples over eight years, found that women with part-time jobs were the happiest. They reported greater job satisfaction than those in full-time work and appeared more content than those with no job. This doesn't mean that women have given up on their ambitions in favour of puréeing baby food. For many women, setting up their own company or going freelance so they can manage their own time has been the answer. The number of women setting up companies increased by 10 per cent in the past six months. If that is not having it all & an ambition that lives on I don’t know what is. Even men are leaving these types of corporate jobs that eat into their every waking hour. I hope you weren’t insinuating women are naïve enough to think a career is EVERYTHING? You’re missing the point, which is the choice to go out and work 80 hours a week if you wish to. I feel a strange sense of Déjà Vu repeating all this. Anyway, it's always pointless to argue about personal choices. Cara

^^It will take me a day to decipher that song I suspect is a load of calacal anyway...

Ibti, I think the uncomfortable truth to some is that these so called ‘westernized modern women’ are capable of holding down a career, raising their kids, having a fabulous household and being a terrific wife all at the same time , which in turn would make the average man look very lacking and silly to boast about the all important manly thing that is called working for a living , whilst we see it for what it is, a 9-5. I suspect the male anxiety is that if a woman can do it all, he may be required to do more than bring the bread in, the fear that he may be called upon to get out of his comfort zone and be part of a tag team. Frankly, they should just get over it. p.s. stop resisting, you know you’re gorgeous
