  1. I'm going at 4 30. We have flexible hours. No one cares as long as you do your 7 hours and you meet your deadlines. Fahiye, now how 'islamic' is sneaking out and getting paid to do work you didn't do ? Ibtisam, walaaley, I don't see a lot of 'eating' in your formular. I'm all up for keeping it light but you do need some solid food to keep you going?
  2. ^^Don't take a lunch and go home an hour early. You should discuss it with your boss. Sounds fair enough to me.
  3. Every human being craves companionship so lets pray everyone finds that or something equally stimulating at the very least. Sister has a lot of Iman M'A.
  4. Hello folks, Ngonge, thanks for the concern yes I'm still alive. Yesterday was interesting, my old theory of never waking up for saxuur failed me dearly. Was battling nausea and vomiting for most of the afternoon but I have learned from my lesson, woke up to eat toast and tea and lots of water last night. Managed to go tarawiix too so the day wasn't all shaky. I feel fab today alhamdullilah and I’m off home in 3 hours. Eat smartly folks. Thank God I don't drink coffee nor suffer an addiction to tea.
  5. “Evil, wicked, mischievous people - you can see the evil in their face". LooooL this made me laugh so hard. I barely watch TV so nope, didn’t see it. You just have to accept most of Islam will seem extreme to this society we live in.
  6. Have a lovely wkend all & Ramadan Kariim.
  7. ^^I take it you're a natural stunner then. I guess a little effort to avoid a descend into shocking hag-like state is all right.
  8. ^^^LoooL, it's nothing personal, I just dont think self pity & wallowing in sorrow is the way to go. It shows a weak character that is not the typical somali woman...and besides, hold your machette *wispers* there are a couple of decent faraxs out there...
  9. Sipholingdilema, Bo-hoo! Pass me a tissue! Everyone gets hurt and if you’re prepared to seek love & intense joy you must also be prepared to feel excruciating pain & despair. It can go either way or you may have to experience both extremes from time to time, so relax and stop hating. Negativity & hate is the coward ways out. The sooner you stop feeling sorry for yourself the better.
  10. Coke is a powerful drug. I don’t really do shopping but I'll have a look. I thought only those health shops have them. If I can't find it in my local Tescos I'll curse you Ngonge.
  11. I’m sooooo sleepy, I blame that can of coke from yesterday for last nights lack of sleep. I wonder if you can buy tea with all the lovely herbs ready made in the tea bag?
  12. To all the Somali girls who have just discovered eye shadow and blusher, go easy on the stuff, goodness.
  13. ^^I think you have a wrong Lily in mind. I really should do some work.
  14. Lol@none to begin with. Every work place should have a massager on site. My neck & shoulders are beyond saving. Nuune its not the ladies who eat like starved hyenas after afur, direct your advice to the brothers.
  15. Ngonge, I'm swimming in work and still posting, I see someone's multi-tasking skills are in decline Howdy Legend
  16. LOL, kuwas wa kuwa 12 sambuus cuna. The whole point is eating enough to sustain yourself, not a feast. Being moderate still applies after afur.
  17. Only the weak get tempted by that, I guess it helps though. Fasting is a mental strength thing.
  18. LoL, North, but if they are going to eat anyway I don't see why they can't have hot meals? 7pm, I see you guys only have an hour shorter fast than us.
  19. Morning Malika and CL, hopefully we can move past the Somali nonesense now...
  20. I understand standard Somali well enough, why would soemone say to you caga wax ka day? In what context would they use it?
  21. LoL, I will stop exposing my gaps in knowledge. What does it mean then? It better not be saqajaanimo JB  Nuune, I thought we were friends? Explain pronto!
  22. I would have looked down and checked if I stepped on dog poo...but now I know it means how are you? Edit: A&T, that was back in my first day in high school, like I said many moon lights ago when I first realized there are other dilects. Most main stream dilects are understandable enough. And no I'm not sujuii, just a regular Somali.
  23. You’re assuming everyone knows what ‘maxad sheegtay’ means. The first time someone said that to me I thought they were hearing voices. I just responded calmly, ‘waxba ma dhihin’ then she said ‘na iska waran’ and walked off in a huff before I could respond. But that was donky years ago...
  24. Ngonge, I just might one day too, but I wont announce it, I'll just slip out and never post again. Morning Nuune, I'm trying to reduce my anger/rage here.
