Cara, the point is to get a good dose of vitD to see me through the year, taking into account I live in a country that is grey/cool/wet for 10 months of the year. I don’t think a week or two will give me life-long wrinkles. Cawo, thanks, maybe I’ll put some lightly on my face Beautiful day out!

Mary, Called Magdalene by Margaret George According to the book, she was possessed by evil spirits/demons, left her house in search of a well known Rabbi who could cure her. He failed so she travelled to the desert to seek refuge and die there when she meets Jesus and he frees her of them . She chose to stay with him and learn more of his preaching. She tried to convince her family to join but they disowned her, including her husband. She wasn’t a prostitute, she chose to spend her time with Jesus and his disciples, at a time when women didn’t live/associated with men to whom they were not married to. Hence, she was referred to as a ‘prostitute’. She became a preacher and church leader till the day she died. I'm going to get back to Affluenza, was meaning to finish it.

Does a black person need sunscreen for sun-bathing?

Iskushuban is a disgraceful name, I’m surprised the residents of that town have not changed it yet. Yes, Somalia is beautiful, no doubt about it…shame though.

Sue, do you think women in the West were handed their rights on a silver platter? You have to fight for what you believe is your right, even possibly die for it.
-
"While you are here protesting, we are repossessing your homes" apparently this note was seen on a Bank window by protestors.

I know it’s easier for us to say since we’re not in that persons shoes but in some ways, deception could be worse than shallowness.
-
LOL@we, where did you get that from  It's worse because you know they could be so much better if only they reverted back to their true nature. *sigh* What love do we share? I'm worried now ...

Overdoing anything is never good. Isn't it sad when some people turn out to be so dissapointing? (I'm not talking about guys here). I need to start having lower expectations of people.

Ban who? Just ignore the kid. Why cant they make it to work? Did you guys over-excersize again?

Wouldn't it be nice if you could tune out some ppl like the mute button on a remote control?

Maybe I misunderstood the Somali, so what you're saying is, it's OK to deceive someone into marrying so that one can later claim she is a divorcee rather than a 'spinster'?

I think it’s hard to live up to personalized names, for example, the daughter of a relative of ours is called Dhuubo, she is nothing of the sort. It's still important to give strong & beautiful names to kids though.

I see, that explains it then...

^^LOL, I just think The Times is too white and middle class and too liberal with their Islamaphobic comments. When the Guardian has to slam Muslims they do it with a bit more class. That's all
-
p.s. I'm suprised you read The Times anyway Norf.

It doesn’t matter if you can get away with it, it’s the principle.

He sounds envious he will never be able to make such a decision so he bad mouths others who do. I think people who leave to start a new life elsewhere are not only brave but very adventurous. Who wants to live in die in the same village?

Tnx Buuxo, not Somalia just yet.

I finsihed reading Mary of Magdala, a fictional account of the early life of Mary and some of the other disciples of Jesus, I read all 875 pages in a week and thought it was a very good book. Didn't like the beginning when she is possesed by demons who encourage her to committ suicide though, I found that part quiet chilling. I'll have to check the book for the correct spelling of the author's name, will be back with that.

I'm suprised he got away with that comment though. Anyway,no point stressing too much, eventually all will be well again, my optimisim tells me that anyway. I feel like dancing...thanks to Sinatra
