  1. The hypocrisy of it all, they say AMISOM kills civilians indiscriminately, AlShabab takes out a hundred people in a suicide bomb to get at one man…they say they don’t want foreign fighters yet there are hundreds of foreign fighters among their ranks. Something doesn't add up here.
  2. I totally understand the feeling, time for another trip me thinks, just have to decide where.
  3. ^^That's what I'm worried about. How come you're still around Nuune, it's June, what happened to your travelling this year?
  4. LOL@goat. Sounds wonderful JB Edit: Val weather's been great this week.
  5. ^^LoooooL, you mean working in your PJs? I like looking forward to going home. My home is my sanctuary. Will see.
  6. Hmm, I dont know, I've never done it, the company sounds great but it's just so weird working solo from home?
  7. Would any of you consider a work from home job?
  8. That's because you guys spend too much time doing everything at undergrad level. By the time you get to uni you would have already been narrowed down to one or max 2 fields which you will study in depth for 3 years. I thought Geel was a little kid, you're telling me he is an oldie now , shocking! Sheh, but most PhD courses prefer a MA, it helps hone your research skills, or so they say.
  9. ^^LOL, you are right, what will be will be. Geel, most BA/Bsc undergrad degrees are 3 years, a Masters is 1 year full time, and PhD is 3 years full time. I am guessing Oz education is similar to UK.
  10. Hey Buuxo! Sheh I agree, if you can do it alongside your living why not? even from scracth to PhD is 7years, which will fly by in a 9-5. There are many who have found their calling later in life. Sheh, I haven't got th brain power to solve anything, anxious about silly new (to me) online web meeting with multiple ppl from different countries. They decided to punish me on my way out
  11. Oh for the love of God, who needs to know the answer? It's never too late for career change.
  12. ^^Lucky you! It's a mess at work and I haven't the motivation to sort it all out...
  13. How’s it going Malika, looking forward to the summer? Any plans? I’m always envious of teachers! Mind you, I'll be very free this summer
  14. Oh how I hated those hypothetical maths questions. Morning trollers, anyone lurking around?
  15. DD, I dont know how to recover it. I'm not suprised Sheh is slightly edgy
  16. Oh the pain of accidentally clicking out of a Word document without saving it, an afternoons worth of excellent work vanished
  17. Blessed, I don’t know what it is, maybe Zuhaid Murad is getting a little bit carried away, bright colours, prints, frills, masses of material, all in one garment. This is the dress I saw in Mango, all you need are a pair of fabulous black earrings, some dressy gold and black bangles and you’re good to go. It’s a very simple dress ( I don't think it fits this model well)
  18. Blessed, a nice cocktail dress/long dress. I saw this gorgous plane but elegant dress in mango that captures what you say perfectly. Sounds like fun. Edit: I will not be doing any watching, Ilahey ha niso nabad ciliyo.
  19. Sheh & Faheema, I'm with you.
  20. ^^ I find it's not usually the height that makes shoes uncomfortable but how they fit at the front, around the toes and especially little toes, how hard they are on the heel of your foot(considering the impact of the heel). Hence good quality design, leather over soft bit sewn in etc. is bound to be more comfier & more expensive.
  21. Say no more Legend. Val, 48 hours strike, wed & thurs.
  22. Was it at least a woman?
  23. Considering disruption to travel, go to that nice tea & cake shop on the hill and do some writing. Nothing spectacular but enough to be content.
